It is the individual whose behavior is judged. The society is a reflection of the morals of the individual. The laws of a society are based on something or someone. Read “Le Disciple” by P. Bourget, a French novel published in 1889. A philosopher teaches and lives a quiet life of study. Then he gets called to attend a criminal inquest - one of his students has put his philosophy of liberation into action and committed murder. Ideas have consequences.

In the three thousand years that followed the collective knowledge of mankind has advanced enormously so that one after another the simplistic fairy tales from the bible fell to pieces, until there was nothing left of god. *The Enuma Elish would later be the inspiration for the Hebrew scribes who created the text now known as the biblical Book of Genesis.* Prior to the 19th century CE, the Bible was considered the oldest book in the world and its narratives were thought to be completely original. In the mid-19th century CE, however, European museums, as well as academic and religious institutions, sponsored excavations in Mesopotamia to find physical evidence for historical corroboration of the stories in the Bible. ***These excavations found quite the opposite, however, in that, once cuneiform was translated, it was understood that a number of biblical narratives were Mesopotamian in origin.***

"I hate God so I don't want to believe the Bible is His word, but I believe anything that says it isn't His Word" - the atheist that comes up with excuses to not believe.
You know, I'd rather trust in the Bible since it's been proven right across all generations. And Israel still exists, whereas the culture that created that Enuma is extinct. You want to know why? Because God exists and He promised to resurrect Israel and preserve it across generations when it was scattered among the nations for her sins.
Since the Bible has been proven right (through science and archeology and history and morality and ethics), then its future predictions are also to be trusted.
Repent now before the Lord or you will be cast into prison and separated from the goodness of God and His Kingdom forever as all God-haters deserve.

If there is no God, from where do you get your ethics? You are nothing more than an animal that has somehow developed a higher level of sentience than other animals. Why obey the rules of some other animal? Yet you do, and the only book anyone can look to that tells the human animal how to live is the Bible. Strange, isn’t it?

    God's name is Yahweh.
Yahweh is a male god invented by the ancient Hebrews and believed, worshiped and obeyed by Jesus, his only begotten son whose teachings became Christianity.
You have never met Yahweh or his son.
