It's such a physical sport and yet, 9 out of 10 athletes ignore the strength and conditioning aspect. I work with a bunch of juniors, and none of them do any sort of mobility, sprint or power work even after repeated nudges to the parents. The on court time adds to the physical stress for players, eventually leading to injuries, and over the years it just adds up to make them quite prone to injury and not play at their potential. The 'athlete first' philosophy MUST be embraced before specializing in any sport. Superb video. Hope mouratoglou academy doesn't mind you putting it on TH-cam

Totally agree with you! I try to add a little into my on court sessions from a young age to get them to understand the importance. Thanks for your comments

This video was fantastic! As someone who loves tennis, I found it really inspiring to see the dedication and hard work that pro players put into their fitness routines. It's amazing to see how the trainers at the Mouratoglou Academy push the players to their limits while still focusing on injury prevention and recovery. Thanks for sharing this up-close and personal look at a pro tennis fitness session!

This is awesome Ashley! It's just insane how much work has to go into a player to bring them up to futures level let alone ATP player level.
Unless you're putting in serious work you'll never make it.
Would love to see a pro work out on cardio and endurance.
    Cheers Ashley👍

Once again a very nice video Ashley.
Would be interesting to see what kind of fitness/footwork training you would recommend for an amateur who hasnt got the time to put some sessions like this into his timetable.

Can you make a video for each of the specific days (cardio, core, etc.) by any chance… Because im currently trying to figure out a workout routine suited for Tennis and with such a professional example it would be a lot easier 😊 Anyway, keep up the great work! Love watching your Videos

Usain Bolt would not be good at picking up drop shots cause he’s not used to stopping 😆. He’d run straight into the net after. Sprinters specifically don’t stop quickly, to avoid injury.

Loved absolutely everything until I heard "...so they can give it 110%..." I mean, it's just disappointing from a coach at this level to use such a trite, and frankly untrue cliche. There is only 100% of something.

    Why do it?
