The most epic and defining moment in the entire series. Chuck after a season of rejecting the truth that he's a hero and insisting he's just a normal guy embraces his true self and downloads the Intersect by his own choice rather than by having it imposed upon him like it was initially. With perfect BGM to set off the scene.
This was the first episode I watched. Didn’t get to see the first two seasons until years later because reruns of shows like this were really hard to come by
I was worried that Chuck now being a kung-fu guy was going to ruin the dynamic between his handlers and him. They did a pretty good job of keeping him nerdy.
When I watched all season 2 and came to the above scene, I said out aloud: "I know Kong-Fu" before Chuck got a chance to say: "Guys, I know Kong-Fu!" I know my Matrix.
yeah it was sad that she lost her memory but that didnt make the whole season bad and even though we all know they finally got back together ( the writers and actors have confirmed that ) we longed to see more thats job well done i have seen shows with happy ending and ppl forget about it in a week . it felt like they had been planning it for a while in s4 when chuck is about to lose his memory and sarah saves him and chucks doc who was trying for him to activate the intersect with a feeling or emotion or memory when chuck mom compressed it ( didnt work for chuck since intersect wasnt a memory it was a program which could only be decompressed by a program so that trick might actually work ffor sarah since in her case it were her memories that were compressed and she did remember things around chuck in similar situation indicating all is nit lost even morgan remembered his imp memory with chuck with his help and realized his friendship with chuck and snapped out ....(she was cold towards chuck since she was angry and mourning her memory loss and being used by quinn also remenants of her life before she met chuck were driving her as she was more mission focussed as she used to be and lied to chuck that she believes him but doesnt feel it since thats someting sarah did in s1 and better part of s2 but after her experience with chuck and finding her self at the beach when chuck tells her to trust him she opens up her heart to him and realizes thats the person she wants to be The emotions the shared at the end spoke volumes and they didnt have to say any word to tell they are back ...the memories are part of the process soooner or later she will recover atleast some of her imp memories of chuck most importantly she realized her feelings which she had difficult time accepting back in s1 because of all the love triangles with bryce, lou , shaw , hannah that were going around)
The reason Sarah has always worried about Chuck going on lone missions is because he is not killer he won't do anything to win awesome fighting skills will only take him so far. The John character pissed me off always tearing down Chuck yet helping him other times. Sarah didn't want him to become a spy because she knew he wasn't a killer but she always fueled his want to be better so she pushed into it too kinda.
After watching this episode, I couldn't help but wonder what in the heck were the writers thinking to have Chuck revert back to the same computer geek that he was in the beginning. This is the point where Chuck should have been elevated to an ass-kicking machine. Instead, the genius writers decide to limit his character to flashing like once in a blue moon and having him continue to be this nerd who needs saving. That's why in my honest opinion, the last three seasons sucked.
Livingston Hampton he didn't he became a badass with the intersect you're point makes no sense when the writers did make him a badass but kept his core character when you remove the core character you lose the regular nice guy in a world of spies and when you lose that you lose the ENTIRE premise of the show. It's also why Sarah fell in love with him, why he wasn't corrupted by the world of secrets and espionage and why at the end of the day he was still Chuck except...he knew Kung Fu. The only season I didn't like I was the last season only because of the ending. I think seasons 1-4 were amazing and stuck to what made Chuck a great show
He left Sarah waiting at the train station, failed out of spy school, crashed on Ellie and Awesomes couch for months and ate cheese balls by the metric ton. Beckman used him for what she could rely on.. I'm ok with this narrative. Where it starts to go off the rails for me is when Morgan gets the intersect and starts to "zoom". For years I was angry at the finale but I watch the whole series start to finish 1 or 2x a year and the more I watch it the more I'm convinced "The Kiss" brought Sarah back to Chuck.. I hope we get the movie Zach wants to do one day.. The only thing is John Caseys character. I loved Casey and it would be a shame if he didn't come back, but IRL I don't think Zach and Adam could be further apart with political ideals. Could they be professional and work? Probably.. I would assume they've all worked with jerks in their career and focus on the character and the story. I really hope to see all of them back one day.. I want everyone back.. Morgan, Jeff, Lester, JEFFSTER, Alex, Frost aka Mamma Bartokski, Ellie and Awesome.. I hope they're all there.
And to think there are more Chuck fans today than when this show originally ran. Bring back Chuck!
Yes!! #bringbackchuck
It's because this show was ahead of its time.
@@kevindepaz638true, it shouldve come out now
Like some other great shows they messed around with the schedule so much it was hard to keep up
@@donaldpalmer9162 Yes, very much so. They did that with the original Star Trek.

I really enjoyed this show. My favorite part was Yvonne Strahovski.
Least fav season had to be the last where Sarah lost her memory

yep, that season was total trash, especially if you compare it to 1234

back when Yvonne had meat on her bones
I thought this is not season two?
It's season 2 the last ep
pagdkfu
Love the scene, but Chuck's final line is the most unnecessary line of dialogue in the history of TV.
But.. It's classic
No it really isn't
I think youre overreacting
Come on, in a show as full of shout outs as this one, they're going to NOT go there?

Aaand the show went downhill from here
No it went downhill in season 5. 3 and 4 we're good
id say you can either end it here, end it at 3 or end it at 4.
