    Very helpful, thank you. I've been experimenting with whipped soap (a different recipe), I just can't seem it to get the glossy/shiny look. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong x

      There are many ways to make it. Check out my video for the iridescent bath whip or the Tropical whipped Soap, they incorporate some oil and are lovely and silky and glossy. Thanks for watching, hope it helps. ☺️

    Love this formula! What percent would be okay to add a butter like Shea butter. Maybe 10%?

    • @revegacosmetics
      @revegacosmetics  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’ve done one with 5% oil and 3% emulsifying wax , you could try that. It’s worth experimenting.

    can O use SLS instead of SCI.?
    thanks so much for sharing ❤❤❤❤

    • @revegacosmetics
      @revegacosmetics  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’ve not tried it, you’d need to experiment, check heat tolerance, pH etc and recalculate ASM.

  • @SilasandShiloh
    @SilasandShiloh 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Can you replace SCI with SLSA?

    • @revegacosmetics
      @revegacosmetics  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, but you might want to play around with the percentages.

    • @revegacosmetics
      @revegacosmetics  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure what you mean. It’s a body wash so the finished product will not melt at room temp, but then neither with the ingredients.

    Hello from Greece!
    How do we calculate and make a recipe for this whipped soap base?
    from soap calc? and how is it done?
    Thank you!!!

    • @revegacosmetics
      @revegacosmetics  ปีที่แล้ว

      The recipe is in the video. As mentioned in the description, this technically isn't soap as its made from synthetic detergents, so it's more of a very thick shower cream. You wouldn't need soap calc. To turn this recipe into different batch sizes, then use the percentages, move the decimal point two to the left and multiply by your batch weight.

      The video shows how we advise to make it. Adding everything at once can cause issues. But obviously you can do your own experiments.

    Hi! Does doing it this way save money compared to buying premade bases? 2 lb of base here is about $25. How much money does it cost to make 2 lb with this recipe? I'm so bad at math I'm sorry

    • @revegacosmetics
      @revegacosmetics  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi! The costs will vary from place to place, but generally this is a lot cheaper. It’s a different product though, softer and not technically soap. This is a very basic base recipe, if I was selling it I’d make some nice additions like a bit of Shea butter and more humectants.
      Another cost effective way to make whipped soap is to make your own paste to whip via dual lye hot process if you are into soap making.

      @@revegacosmetics thank you for your response! I did see a recipe for a soap paste as well. It also looked great, cost effective, and easy. I am new into soap making so in the experimentation phase basically 😊

    can geo guard ect use to be to preserve thos or euxyl k 903

    • @revegacosmetics
      @revegacosmetics  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not familiar with Euxyl K 903 as we don't have that in the UK as far as I have found. However, Geoguard ECT I believe is the same as Preservative eco which you can use in this formula, yes, but I would avoid it in products that are for children due to the salicylic acid content.

      @Revega Cosmetics aww thank so much for getting back to I have read that as well about not using it with children.the other preservative I found on the list for the eco cert preservatives. I belive the other one I read can be used in baby products .thank you agagin I have been searching for a week lol if I can ise geo guard lol 😆

    • @revegacosmetics

      As a basic base recipe like this I’d use for the body and not the face. I’ll be doing other recipes more suitable for the face that are milder.

    • @revegacosmetics

      Yes, add sugar to your desired consistency but take note of weight and then recalculate your percentages for the final formula.
