How to Install Ditch Lights in the 5th Gen Toyota 4Runner. I used the ProComp lights, but you can use any type of ditch light you'd like. If you do any night country driving, ditch lights will make a big difference when spotting wildlife or terrain. Ditch lights come in spot, flood, or combo lenses. Some can also be backlit, which typically requires an add-a-fuse connection.
