    Great video! Just curious-since the light is wired directly to the battery, if you forget to turn off the switch, won’t that drain the battery completely?

    • @sunroomstudios8487
      @sunroomstudios8487 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yes, but I wired it specifically for the advantage of being able to turn them on without the car running. This works great if you're camping and need a bit more light for a short time and don't want the noise of starting the car. Short durations won't significantly drain the battery. Even in the daytime, with the illuminated button, it's easy to see if they are on when the ignition is off, so I haven't had any issues this way. I wired my bumper light bar this way also. I find it to be the most useful set up for me. Thanks for watching!

    I also have a c1000 and a smaller c800 Plus as well and they are great power stations. I think every home should have at least one power station considering our aging and venerable US power grid system. My home also has a 22kw Generac Home standby and a smaller Pulsar Dual fuel 5kw inverter generator to charge the power stations just in case my Generac breaks down or can't run for some reason. I like radiancy... many things can happen in regards to the economy and the upcoming election it's best to have a plan A B and C to protect yourself and your family.

      Sounds like a sweet setup! I love the redundancy in your system. I’d really like a system to power a well pump during power outages. Cost is the big obstacle for now. Been looking at an interlock and a dual fuel generator as a reasonable option, although a standby would be amazing!

    With my 2024 trd pro, the cross bar bent side is hitting the protector plate so it’s very hard to screw in the bolts and security key bolts. Cross bar will not align flush with the plate and cross member. I noticed older 4Runner models cross bars align flush and flat with the plate on the key bolt side

    • @sunroomstudios8487

      That sounds frustrating and I don’t really know why that is. According to CaliRaised it should fit 2024. Any chance you hit and bent your cross bar slightly? I’m sure you tried bolting the key bolt side first. How about a temporary longer bolt to get everything aligned, then replace one bolt at a time? Hope you got it working!

    Great short video! I did notice the new air filter you replaced had air flow arrows pointing down. The air flow on our 5th gen cabin air flows UP.

    • @sunroomstudios8487
      @sunroomstudios8487 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Air flow is going down, which is also why leaves and debris collect on the top when it’s first pulled out. The OEM filter has an arrow pointing up, which is confusing because it indicates that side up rather than direction of air flow. Most replacement filters have an arrow pointing the direction of air flow, which would be down. Not sure if yours is different for some reason? Mine is 2018 TRD OR.

  • @Mall745

    Thanks for the review. I've been researching this exact power station for possible purchase. One of the issues I have seen discussed relates to your test during the power outage. You noted that once your mains power came back on that the unit began to charge and your freezer and refrigerator maintained power. The issue seems to be that if your C1000 is drained of power completely before the mains power comes back on then the C1000 will start charging again once power is restored, but the AC outlets on the C1000 will not switch back on automatically. In this scenario if you were asleep or away from the house, your freezer and refrigerator would remain off even though the Anker is receiving power. So long as the C1000 is not drained completely before the power comes back on, this should not be an issue as was the case in your situation. I would recommend you testing this on your unit so you don't get any surprises during a future power outage. Hopefully Anker will fix this issue with a firmware update in the future,

    • @sunroomstudios8487
      @sunroomstudios8487 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That is insightful and I didn’t know the outlets wouldn’t switch on automatically if completely drained and power is restored. Good to know! I hope Anker can address this with a firmware update!

    Great video! Do you happen to know what the purpose of the removable lower grill is?

      I’m assuming it’s for added ventilation. Thanks for watching, I appreciate it!

      @@sunroomstudios8487 I can see the airflow advantage over other brands. Any chance it allows you to access the bolts that secure the winch? Or access to anything else that would otherwise be hard to get at when the bumper is mounted? It seems like a lot of effort for them to design it to be removable if removing it has no purpose.

      The plate appears to be removable but would require some manipulation. That would allow access to the mounting bolts for the winch, but there’s no chance that winch is coming out without taking the entire bumper off. I don’t see a real reason for this other than possibly an easier manufacturing process.

    these were out of stock when I was looking to buy it. So I went with RSG metalworks. The cat shield also act as under body armor that protect the cat and the trans.

      I looked at RSG also, but they were about $100 more and had minimal ventilation holes. It really came down to price for me. RSG looks super easy to install though with only 4 bolts, so that’s a big bonus.

    Do you know what brand of running boards those are?

    • @sunroomstudios8487
      @sunroomstudios8487 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The running boards came with the vehicle, and there are no identifying logos, other than a stamped number “29112182”. They are 4” tube step bars, similar to Westin Pro Traxx from Carid.com. They are only for a step and don’t offer any protection, they’d fold with any impact. One of my next mods on my wishlist is to replace these with good quality rock sliders.

      @@sunroomstudios8487 Thanks for the info. Those Westin ones do look similar. I noticed you have a MN license plate. Do you happen to be near Fargo? If so maybe I could take those off your hands when you are done with them.

      I promised them to a coworker when that time comes, probably at least a year from now though.

      I probably use it more as a separator from my gear with other odds and ends, rather than a sole theft deterrent. It’s convenient to throw a coat on top, and strong enough to support a guitar. Thanks for watching, I appreciate it!
