- Prince Joachim was named, Joachim Holger Waldemar Christian. He was born in the year 1969 on 7th June at Rigshospitalet, in Copenhagen, which is part of Copenhagen University Hospital. One month after, in 1969 on 15th of July, he was Christened in Aarhus Cathedral, which made him the first Danish Royal family member, who is christened outside Copenhagen. He also had an influential lineup of Godparents, who joined in the Christening ceremony. His Godparents include, Princess Benedikte of Denmark, who is his maternal aunt, Jean Baptiste de Laborde de Monpezat, who is his paternal uncle. Princess Christina of Sweden, who is his mother’s first cousin, along with King Harald V of Norway, who was at the time, Crown Prince of Norway. He has got inspiration and guidance from his Godparents since childhood, and is loved by the royal fans

Prince Joachim of Denmark, married in Copenhagen near Hillerød, at Frederiksborg Palace Church with Ms. Alexandra Christina Manley, in the year 1995 on 18th of November. She was working as Deputy sales and marketing executive. She is Hong Kong-born, with British, Chinese, Czech and Austrian ancestry. Together, the royal couple have two adorable sons, namely Prince Nikolai of Denmark and Prince Felix of Denmark.
Two and half years after his divorce, with his first wife, in the year 2007 on 3rd October, Prince Joachim of Denmark and Marie Cavallier engaged, as announced by the Danish court. Marie is French native. In the year 2008 on 24th of May, the royal wedding took place near Schackenborg Castle, inside Møgeltønder Church. Coincidently, King Frederik IX of Denmark and Queen Ingrid of Denmark had same wedding date, and was their 73rd wedding anniversary. Both were Prince Joachim’s grandparents and are remembered every year by royal buffs. Prince Joachim and Princess Marie together have two adorable children, namely, Prince Henrik of Denmark and Princess Athena of Denmark. As per the Danish Courts, all the four children of Prince Joachim are styled with the titles as Highnesses, and not Royal Highnesses.
Prince Joachim of Denmark is one of the most followed royals among the Danish royal family, in the part one, we saw his life story from his birth, his christening, godparents, schooling, college studies, his time growing up, his first marriage story, kids from the first marriage, their divorce, second marriage, married life, his kids from second marriage, some rumors and confusions created, some of the ups and downs of his life. Prince Joachim’s life is like a roller coaster in which he has gone through thick and thin over the years and faced the challenges with wisdom. He is like a role model for his kids and the balance which he has kept in his life between his ex-wife and wife for the sake of their children is admirable. It’s a case to say that Queen Margaret II of Denmark has two wonderful daughters-in-law.
In fact, both Crown Princess Mary and Princess Marie are two beautiful, elegant, friendly women, and who performed in a very good way their different roles in the Danish Royal Monarchy. Of course, Crown Princess Mary will always have a more important and more prominence role in the Danish Royal Monarchy, just because she is the wife of Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark, and so a future Queen Consort when Crown Prince Frederik becomes King of Denmark.

Now Queen Margrethe has stripped Prince Joachim’s children of their title of Prince/Princess and the style Highness away from them, they are now counts and a countess, I don’t think it’s right. Her poor grandchildren were so confused as to why she did this.

Mary Donaldson is thé future Queen consort by marriage to thé crown prince. However I think she is not thé crown princess of Danemark. She has thé title princess of Danemark though. I might be wrong Im not expert in royalties. Maybe somebody can clarify. If Prince Frédérik came to disappear then crown Will go to prince Christian not to princess Mary ?
