i feel like theres not much of a point making the game so open world since its so story and mission based also they wanted to keep it true to the original.
Such a shame that the developers spend so much time creating these beautiful worlds, but the world itself is completely dead. I wish they added side activities, side quests, purchasing property, car races, and other challenges.
@@XxsubkillerxX Same here. The closest we got to any sort of Is world activity was in mafia 3 where he had to go around and kill all the other gang members. I personally didn't think that game play loop was bad, however it became very repetitive. There's so many different things the developers can add into the world to make him feel more alive. They could add bars where you could do drinking games, play pool, or darts. They could add casinos where you could gamble your money. They could have street races where you could gamble your money and race other NPC's. They could even add a shooting Mini game where you would shoot targets to win money. Perhaps even add collectibles that would be peppered around the game map such as posters that the main protagonist could collect and once all of them were collected they could give the posters to a certain NPC in order to win a special car or something of the sort. Or even have side quest that you could do for other members in the Mafia family which in turn would develop the other characters in the family through funny and even tragic side quests stories. There is just so many different avenues that the developers could go down to make side activitie. Sorry for the long message, I just really love mafia and the worlds they build. They're so intricate and beautifully detailed. It's it it's just such a shame to see all that work go to waste. Once you finish the main story there literally is no point in continuing to play the game.

Sadly regarding Mafia, since Mafia 2, where they changed alot in terms of developers and such it only really went on as a Money Machine. Not as a project of passion. Its all about the Money. I mean, just look at Saints Row.. Game Development isnt what it was.

This is all done while using a Mod Menu. You can give yourself locked weapons with it. But you could also just download WeMod for the unlimited ammo and Health. Only doable on PC.
There is a Selection of Guns. Sniper Rifle Bolt action Rifle 1911 Handgun Revolver Thommy Gun Shotgun various melee weapons. Might have forgotten about 1 or 2 Guns.
The most boring freeride I have ever seen.. The world seems so empty.. Why can Tommy only shoot cops? Where are the various factions/gangs/families?? Very disappointng.

You may get the Idea it glorifies MK's, and that always did agitate me quite a bit. I did those Videos, because i like to see the ingame responses (physics based) witch to be quite fair, are not that good in Mafia like for example Red Dead 2. I already made sure to set those Videos to 18+, but i still had Roblox Kids asking for more, (did not feel good tbh) Thats one of the Reasons i stopped with this.

How do you get Meele weapons?
Either use a Mod Menu, or go to the Armory in Free Ride. There are melee weapons available.

Families? Bruh the Morello family gets wiped out and there are no other gangs/families in Lost Heaven by the end of the game
Thankfully there are some mods around like Enemies in the city to bring some gang warfare
