Jeez, cars look so realistic from different angles. Its amazing. And their driving physics are very realistic too. I'm imressed. GTA 5 cars look like chinese toys. These look like real cars. Amazing car graphics.
GTA V looked amazingly well for it's time and has aged really nicely. It's Car design was one the better ones compared to other open world games at the time. (e.g. Mafia II, watchdogs and sleeping dogs cars look shit compared to GTA V) It's unavoidable that a game remake that's almost 2 generations ahead and uses the same modern game design techniques that GTA V would look better.

The original Mafia (If I remember correctly) was going to be a driving game only, like the Driver series. The shooting and player controls came later in the developement and that I believe is why the series has such nice driving mechanics. I'm glad they somewhat mimiced this in the remaster here, one of my favorite things about the original was how the automobiles behaved like real cars of the era.

Basically, rubbing your car against a traffic car would result in you forcibly colliding as though you crashed into an invisible extended hitbox. Weird.
One of my favourite things to do in this game when I want to relax, is set Lost Heaven to nighttime, put Tommy in his pyjamas, put the radio on and ride around in the rain with the top down in a convertable. I love the idea of Tommy just driving around in the early hours of the morning when he can't sleep.
I love the driving in this game, and the mafia series in general but this has the best sense of speed. Driving 60 mph feels faster in this game than 200mph in forza

it does have a clutch, but sadly due to Hangar 13 not playtesting their games before release, it isnt useable with a controller. You can only use the Clutch via Keyboard. :(
Mafia 2 remake was a failure IMO, at first bugs and glitches were awful and messed with the cutscenes (most of this has been fixed) also a newer problem I have run into while replaying the remake of Mafia 2 is constant crashing of the application (game) this is on PS4 for me. Not sure about other platforms.
I wish i could Bro! this Game has no Wheel Support. I tried with my old Logitech, my Fanatec Rig and a Thrustmaster t248 but none of them Work sadly.. I even tried to use 3rd party software but it was just bad

It’s because the map is not designed to drive at top speeds
Also, the camera work. Forza doesn't have a loose camera like this.

The Story was very enjoyable. Free Ride on the other Hand offers a couple of funny missions, but thats about it. Nothing more to do there.
