Mr. Haley, I have been trying to find the perfect holster for my custom hi point 45. I've got it narrowed down to either the crosman shoulder holster or the uncle mikes iwb tuckable. Which would you recommend? Ive watched a bunch of sick anime so I'm pretty sure i have the ability to do a .5 second draw either way.

Excellent video! When discussing hybrid IWB holsters (Ex. Alien Gear) you mentioned that you prefer to have the trigger guard completely enclosed. Black Arch's PROTOS-M holster has a "3/4 kydex shell" that completely wraps around the trigger guard and provides an excellent retention level that is adjustable, consistent, and does not depend upon pressure between the shell and the backing... incredibly comfortable! :) By the way, I loved your interaction with Ernest Langdon on P&S Modcast #173... GOOD DA/SA STUFF! :) That podcast first introduced me to you... now I'm a subscriber and very much enjoying your videos! I have yet to pick up the new Beretta 92 Elite LTT, but I'm saving for it... for now, I LOVE MY Inox PX4s (compact & full-size) - very underrated pistols.
After several failed attempts to obtain a comfortable gun belt for EDC the Kore Essentials belt met all my expectations. The quality rigidity, comfort and price filled the bill. I would highly recommend this belt to anyone looking for one. Another feature that was really important was that being a big person the belt was plenty big and it allowed me to adjust it to my size with no problem.
Have you ever looked into Vedder Holsters? I personally believe that they are one of the highest value holsters out there. Price is right, shipping times are acceptable, and lots of options. The LightTuck is my go-to IWB holster. . You can adjust the ride height, cant, and retention very easily. They also have a lot of color options for those extra high speed individuals because we all know those kryptek patterns decrease your draw speed by one whole second.
The newer alien gear holsters (shape shift line) do completely enclose the trigger guard. They are modular as well so the same holster can be set up to carry IWB, appendix, or OWB just by switching out the backing.
Always been an open carry kind of guy with CZ-75 and Glock 17s. Finally bought a Glock 19 and a T-Rex Arms Raptor AIWB Holster. Always good to learn a new skill.
I have started AIWB carrying my American made 16” barrel AR-10. Concealment is a challenge, of course, but nothing beats smoking floppies with 51 millimeters of freedom.
idk if any of y'all are in construction, but when the belt portion of your tool belt wears out you will replace just the belt instead of the whole rig usually. the leather belts you can get at home Depot to replace those on tool pouches are outrageously tough, super thick, hold up weight very well, fit SNUG through belt loops aaannnddd are about 9 bucks.
Worked for a private security firm for 10+years. PPK in a Bianci IWB holster as my primary duty... FNX-40 in a DeSantis OWB if expecting real trouble... preferred the Galco shoulder rig when driving long distance, for ease of draw. ALL were "thumb-break" retention. Qualified with all three each year... All were used as Concealed Carry. None of our other Officers used the same equipment, as everyone has their own preference.
I'm a fatmin and AIWB you just have to get used to it, Does start off uncomfortable. but its good after a while. Wearing an underrshirt tucked in initially helps a lot.
Being 5'4" 160lbs, even my glock 19 is hard for me to conceal carry well. What i have found that works for me is a Trex Raptor appendix carry holster at 1 o'clock with a glock 30sf on a Nova belt. The gear from Trex is top notch, plus this setup lets me hide the gun, holster and two spare magazines without printing. The raptor claw on the holster also helps by pushing the grip of the gun closer to your body.

If it helps anyone, i got my glock 19 right when I turned 21, and got myself a G-code incog holster with it. I've carried my g19 in stock form with that holster for the last 4 years or so, both appendix and 3 o clock. If you wear tight fit jeans/pants, carrying appendix is a bit more uncomfortable, but not a deal breaker. The incog is designed with 2 clips, but I run it with only 1 clip on as it secures the holster very well. That being said, if you do plan on running a light on your carry weapon, just get the eclipse from G-code.
Bravo-Zulu! Great Video, I am a big guy and because of a service Connected injury that had me in a wheelchair for almost 6 years I put on an extra 100 LBS because of that I have reduced how often I wear an IWB holster but I do carry every time I leave the house. Because of my extra tonnage that I have put on I mostly use OWB holsters and when it cool here in Central Florida I use both Galco or DeSantis Miami Classic type shoulder holsters. I have been a FL CCW permit holder since the early 90s and I have tried many different kinds of holsters made by about every major holster maker out there and as my carry sidearms have changed and my skill level has increased I have changed how and what I carry. My first Glock was a Gen 3 G22 40sw and I carried that pistol in a Galco Combat master holster or Galco Royal Guard IWB from 2004 to 2015 when I upgraded to a Gen 3 RTF2 G22 and recently purchased a Gen 4 G22 but I have had and carried the Gen 4 G23 and G35 as well. I do own Alien Gear for my Glock 17/22, Sig P226/229 and my 1911s and they have the leather back because the composite material gets way too hot here in FL. In the past couple of years I have made a decision to start looking for solid Kydex OWB holster that would allow me to carry my sidearm with a weapon light attached and after lots of research and a few disasters I found Bravo Concealment and I purchased holsters that would allow me to carry my Gen 4 G17 or G22 as well as my Sig P226 with TLR-1 HL units attached and after 6 month of using the Bravo holsters I am very please with my purchase and would recommend the Bravo holsters to anyone that would ask me about a solid carry kydex holster. The one bad thing about Bravo Concealment is that they changed their line up and are now only carrying quick ship holsters for some Glocks 17/19 and 42/43 and some MP pistols and that is it but I was told a couple of weeks ago when I tried to order a holster for my Sig P229 w/surefire xc1. One thing that everyone should consider when outfitting their carry sidearm is the following: Good Sights I prefer Tritium Night Sights I prefer Trijicon and Meprolight Good Weapons Light I prefer Streamlight TLR-1 HL I have both the older 630 and the new 800 lumen units Good Laser unit I prefer the Crimson Trace frame grip model for Glocks and XDm and the Grips for Sig 226 and 229 as well as 1911. Just wanted to put in my 2 cents. P.S. Using button up shirts like the ones from 5.11 Tactical, Tru-Spec and Propper that fit loose I carry my sidearms in OWB Bravo Concealment Weapon light pistol holster riding on a 5.11 Tactical 1.75 inch Operator Belt with cargo shorts or jean here in FL on a daily bases.
I carry with Bigfoot Gun Belt, I believe they work with Alien Gear Holsters. Wonderful leather belt, double leather, steel core insert. I used to carry a 5 inch government 1911 with Surefire X300, 8+1 loaded and about 3 extra mags. Can't even feel they were there. And now I'm using holster from L.A.G. Holster down in Reno, Nevada. I love their designs, that opening is not bulky at all but makes reholster very very easy
IWB or OWB i carry concealed with an un-tucked shirt always. The printing isn't as big a deal as people think for OWB as the majority of people out in public are in their own worlds and don't pay much attention as long as a shirt is covering the gun. The element of surprise is more important than a sub-one second draw. I too can draw and shoot in under a second but the big advantage is if something goes down as long as it's concealed i'm not the first guy they will take out just because I'm armed. I have and use a host of holsters. The one's I use the most are the Vedder Light Tuck for IWB and a RCS phantom for both IWB and OWB. i typically use Safariland ALS holsters most of the time for OWB though. Not a duty style but the 6000 series or 7000 series that ride up high above the hem of my untucked shirt.
You mentioned G-Code which is a great minimalistic holster. You should check out a company called Phlster. It's a small company in Philadelphia. The difference between the two is that the Phlster has a strap that wraps around the belt compared to the clips that the G-Code has.

One thing that everyone should consider when outfitting their carry sidearm is the following:
Good Sights I prefer Tritium Night Sights I prefer Trijicon and Meprolight
Good Weapons Light I prefer Streamlight TLR-1 HL I have both the older 630 and the new 800 lumen units
Good Laser unit I prefer the Crimson Trace frame grip model for Glocks and XDm and the Grips for Sig 226 and 229 as well as 1911.
I have nothing constructive to say 😁
Me neither... Flannel anybody?
I carry with Bigfoot Gun Belt, I believe they work with Alien Gear Holsters. Wonderful leather belt, double leather, steel core insert. I used to carry a 5 inch government 1911 with Surefire X300, 8+1 loaded and about 3 extra mags. Can't even feel they were there. And now I'm using holster from L.A.G. Holster down in Reno, Nevada. I love their designs, that opening is not bulky at all but makes reholster very very easy
I will...(*hesitates*) not hesitate to recommend these holsters.
Tactical fuzz, like our morale-boosting extended liberty forays in Brazil and Peru.
Awesome dude keep the videos coming.
“Survival pudge”....I’ve got that 😏😏😏
Dry humor earned a sub.
In Australia, we now have conceal carry tactical crates haha
i love how this guys clothing options is like mine flannel or camo
Where can I find these sick tactical flannels?
Savers or Good Will. Look cool for less than $10, but you'll smell like ass for less than $10.
+Vince Tambellini Aren't they the new CDA ( Canuk, Digital, Autumn ) ?
I'd check out Pendleton flannels, ll bean, Duluth trading, 5 eleven. galls.com qmuniforms.com
5.11 is good if you want tactical flannel
I'm quite fond of my Tennessee Holster Company belt. Had it for a few years now.
Why so serious? We need this in Canada!

Nelson LeDoux you're smart. I like you.
You mentioned G-Code which is a great minimalistic holster. You should check out a company called Phlster. It's a small company in Philadelphia. The difference between the two is that the Phlster has a strap that wraps around the belt compared to the clips that the G-Code has.
I just carry mine in my hand..😂
I recommend Vedder holsters as well. Good quality and fast delivery for many weapons.
Seems like the kind of guy that would be Delta if it existed.............
Shhh... *Winks in Delta*
Jackal19x Nathan Krassow this thread killed my boys 😂
