    I really think Lingard should go to Luton for the rest of the season. Look what it’s done for Ross Barkley and Andros Townsend. Rob Edwards is a brilliant man manager who would definitely get the best out of Lingard. He could help keep Luton up if he finds his feet like he did at West Ham

      My thing with Lingard is this. He's been used to astronomical wages for years but is clearly not worth those numbers now. Who is advising this lad? Not even the Saudis are trying to pay him that kind of money. He doesn't bring anything to a team to justify his weekly asking price.

    Lingard absolutely should have stayed at West Ham. That was the perfect opportunity to have a team on the rise built around him (amongst others), at the perfect age. You know the Hammers would have cherished a player like him, celebrations and all. Good luck to him & his family. Would love to see him find his way into punditry or something

  • @calc1657

    Had he signed with West Ham, Lingard could have transformed the narrative of his career. Instead, in a money move, he went to Forest. He took more money up front, but is now losing more money on the back end of career. At some point, the player has to take responsibility for his career.

    • @creepinasicrawl

      Yeah it's always gonna be a what if moment. I agree with you, should have taken pay cut and went to west ham. Loved watching him when he was on loan there, moyes would have got the most out of him.

      @Lastnameabdi 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yea man Jesse was supposed to be on a upward trajectory after his loan spell at west ham obviously United didn’t put him up for sell but I personally believe Lingard maybe looked at it like “ok I’ve shaken the rust off, had some good performances at west ham, now the footballing public will respect me again and I can carry on” not knowing him not signing back with west ham would dent his career I mean he was started to get selected for England again, I even believe he should’ve been apart of the euro squad, but I’m hoping lingard finds a club soon

    I didn't expect that much from Lingard. He was going to be another Darren Fletcher, Wes Brown, Danny Wellbeck, John O'Shea kind of player who came out of the academy and was very useful to the first team as a squad player but ultimately if he wanted to be a first team guy he'd have to leave and that's kind of what he was. When people show that picture of Pogba, Morrison and Lingard and say "Ravel Morrsion was so good he was considered the best of these three" I always thought okay one of those guys won a world cup and broke the world record transfer fee so I get that but why are we acting like Morrison being projected to be better than Lingard is a big deal?

      @@Mopark25 Hang on Fletcher is the guy that annoys you? Are you a real United fan? 😂 Fletcher was the most important of the players I mentioned by far. Fergie's greatest trick in the big games was to drop a first team player for a guy like Fletcher and tell him to stick to the other teams best player like glue and make it a 10 v 10 game without the other teams best player instead of 11 v 11. Fletcher was vital in the big games. Even after Fletcher left he did this with Park and Anderson. It's why Scholes was on the bench for back to back champions league finals against Barcelona. Because you had to kick one out in the big games for one of Fergie's hunters.

    • @pinealdreams1064

      I think he's agreeing with you on Fletcher being vital to big games and that's why he said not to put him in that group. I hope so, at least. Him missing the 2009 final arguably cost us. No way Barcelona have that much control with Fletcher and Park both chasing them down.
      That said, if he IS pro-Fletcher, should also be pro Brown. Wes Brown was absolutely top class and without injuries would have started.
      Also, anyone remember O'Shea's chip against Arsenal? One insane moment. Goddamn, Fergie was a titan at getting a tune out of average players by playing to their strengths.@@SonnyK248

    I think Lingard’s best move at this point might actually be MLS. He can definitely shine in a league that is competitive, but not elite. He’d be the star at any MLS team he moves to, and I’m sure the lifestyle in the US would fit him well. Not sure we’d see him go to an unglamorous city like Cincinnati or Salt Lake or whatever, but I could see him doing well at LA Galaxy, Orlando City, Atlanta United, or a club like that. NYCFC will start to be a big destination for players in Lingard’s position too I think, but only once they build that stadium in Queens, since no one wants to come to the league to play in a ballpark.

    You know these sites that have catchy headlines and when you click on their article you find them repeating that same headline like twice then some filler bullshit before they get to the point which is more often than not just a sentence or less long?
    This is what this channel has been feeling like for a while now.
    When did it become a content mill?

    lingard didnt stay at man utd because ole wanted him to, but because ronaldo came. he said he was willing to fight for his place. the only time lingard was restricted to leave was when greenwood had his case.

    No that's not true . He thought he was only on loan to West Ham. This guy is correct Ollie and the Glazers did not want to sell. Ollie kept stringing him along telling him he was going to be played and he wasn't. He tried to leave and go to New Castle and that deal was blocked by the Glazers.

    I always thought Lingard was a victim of ciming through the Man Utd system. Had he come up and produced like he did with a team like Aston Villa or West Ham he would have been treasured.

    He should have always returned to West Han after his contract at United ended. He would have been starting in a team competing in Europe with a fan base that really appreciated him during his loan spell. Instead he went to Forrest for some extra money and completely blew it.

    After his loan spell at West Ham , i was desperate for him to come to Newcastle, and at the time , i was furious with Man U that the deal broke down!
    Then when i saw him play for Forrest at the start of last season , i was like " wow , we dodged a bullet there 😂"

    I picked Jesse Lingard for my fantasy team the Forest year, hoping I made a clever pick. But that didn't work out. I still like him though, I hope he find a club and gets playing again. Also waiting for some new player biographies to spill some Man Utd dirt!

    Lingards issue was that he loved Manchester and really wanted to play there but Manchester were and still are a total mess of a club, it's really no secret that the club have more or less stagnated since Sir Alex Furgeson, talented players like Lingard needed a better infrastructure around them to thrive, as you say, under Sir Alex, he would have done great.
    But the good thing is, he financially secured his future with various business ventures outside of Football so he's fine overall.

    • @LiftandCoa
      @LiftandCoa 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      "as you say, under Sir Alex, he would have done great"
      No he wouldnt. He would have gone a similar route. His talent isnt much more than what already is. People act like he was ever good enough for the worlds elite when in fact he was never more than "Above average" for exactly a SINGLE year in his career.
      Im just saying: Anderson and Ravel Morrison.
      Even Diego Forlan flopped under Fergie. Fergie is a legend, but not everything he touched turned into gold. And he couldnt bring every wonderkid to its potential and he certainly couldnt bring a guy like Lingard to anything near world class level.
