People flocking to " hard assets" such as real estate and gold because we can't trust our government to uphold the dollar.........how can we trust government to uphold property rights? If the country falls due to numerous factors like the dollar no longer being the primary currency, your real-estate can be seized along with your gold. If that happens, carrots and potatoes will be more valuable.

Very sobering. The oligarchs will have managed to reduce us to a nation of sharecroppers.
It’s obvious property rights aren’t honored by the government now. Old people being evicted from paid off homes they raised their families in because of exorbitant property taxes is horrific. It should be illegal. The fact banks keep all the owners’ equity when homes are in foreclosure is another crime. It’s as if the US is a giant casino & the house always wins.

I like the houses you feature and seeing the prices where you are and the home styles where you are. For instance, I like Mediterranean homes and you are often walking in neighborhoods that feature elements of that style in their elevations. :))

If the Fed raises rates further, it may need to bail out a lot more banks, which may require emergency actions, which could undermine the entire tightening cycle by requiring immediate cuts and bailouts, QE, etc. It's like walking a tightrope, or some kind of extreme balancing act. Try to tighten just enough to slow inflation, but not so much it causes deflation, because that would result in a credit crisis like 2008.

Risky operation by institutions with the promise of bailout in case of loss is the moral hazard warned about during the 2007/2008 collapse. That cycle needs to stop.

bail out banks? gtfo banks can go broke, should just confiscate everything that's relate to them banks, everything other than customers. let's see how they like to play with everyone's money then. We all knew banks is a business that just takes and does not give. But then again.. banks have everyone hostage ..
