  • A Barrier Free shower, sometimes called a roll in shower is installed to provide a no step entry for a wheelchair accessible home. Many of the garden tubs you see in this video, as explained by Vinnie Venugopal, rarely get utilized. In this case, by removing the tub, we are able to create a very nice roll in shower area. A Barrier Free design should always provide a no step entry for people with mobility challenges. Having the ability to roll in to a shower, or not have to climb over a tub or curb is essential for a barrier free environment.
