A 32” door doesn’t need special hinges for a wheelchair to fit. A 30” door would’ve only opened up to 30” no need for special hinges. Normal hinges open up to where the edge of the door doesn’t interfere with the opening space unless some waterhead designed/built it to where the door is too close to the perpendicular wall
Good job Maxwell Smart.
love it
Hopefully it will change, with all of the technology we have today it’s crazy how they still haven’t figured it out.🤦🏽♀️
Who manufactured your current chair?
permobil but unfortunately, this is an issue for all power wheelchairs and manufactures
@@OnarollwithgarMaybe we could all write to the company or start a petition.
If you don’t mind me asking, Is it covered by your insurance or was your chair purchased out of pocket?
@@nicolascloward284 it depends the wheelchair itself is always covered by insurance. It’s up in the air, whether the standing part and the other features are
You have a great day too man
I understand buddy same problem
Very sorry to hear you’re going through the same problem hopefully one day it will be rectified 🤞
They need to update the design of these chairs to accommodate raiiny weather 😢
I HAVE A E BIKE😮
I couldn’t agree more! Electric wheelchairs are the gateway to independence for many people with physical disabilities
@@williamstroud122 never heard of that curious to know what that is
Do burnouts in the rain
lol good idea!
That’s amazing!
Very nice continuing to be a blessing
Oh wow, I love this. The space is huge. I think what you guys do is truly a blessing. I can't thank you enough for my sister roll in shower she loves it, so keep doing this amazing work it's definitely appreciated
I can't wait to see the final product
This looks incredible!
And very very few builders create accessible and Barrier Free areas in a home
Jose is the man!
Yes. He is on it
This is amazing all that room and space I luv it
Just wait. Lots more coming
Very nice love how accessible the shower is
Critical for safety and ease of use

It is next to impossible for those with mobility issues to install shutters. Independence is enhanced with impact windows
Thanks for your videos. I hope all is well
Glad I got this video recommended to me by the algorithm. I tend to get a bit depressed when only able to hang out with people on the computer, but it makes getting out and going somewhere that much better.
They probably talk to you like a child. I can't stand that. It's patronizing. People really don't know, and videos like this are a necessity in todays cold world.
This is an excellent series.
Thank you for speaking up for people living with cerebral palsy. I think many people have no idea what the associated challenges are.
Thank you for this informative video
This amazing I can't say enough about the work you do for people with a disability to make everything comfortable for them and to make it easier for them so keep up the great work and continue to put a smile on there faces
You have a great one, too.
This is so amazing and very nice work and I know you make a huge difference to those who benefit from this, so thank you all for the work you do
Good video - thank you for sharing!
I'm glad you've found a workplace that accomodates your needs. I hope in the near future technology advances to the point where disabled people are able to perform many actions or tasks able bodied people can. In the meantime we should make sure disability benefits/welfare aren't taken away because someone is working.
Is there anything you, Garrett, specialise in that you would be happy to share? I think sharing other things you are passionate about would be interesting to watch. I've just stumbled onto this channel, but I hope to find more things that interest me. All the best.
so many people who are homeless are disabled. We have failed as a society. Housing should be a human right
Thank you for sharing! God Bless ❤
Also you have a great day too
I know that I’m just some random guy on the internet who has no idea how hard your life is but you got this and anyone who says anything otherwise can shove it
This is amazing I love the work you do with people that have some form of a disability
Stay strong my friend.
“As a society we need to do better.” Well said
Great video.
I dream of a day where ALL buildings, homes, appartement buildings, restaurants etc, are built adapted, in the first place! After all, we will all get older, we might have an accident, we might suddendly have a disease... ...ALL BUILDINGS SHOULD BE ADAPTED FROM THE START!!!
I love that t-shirt Garrett and thank you for your nice smile! Continue on! We need these educational videos!
I luv these videos I'm learning alot and I really appreciate all the hard work you do
That bathroom has got it all! Nice job
Oh I luv this you guys are a blessing my sister luvs it
I can't wait to see what it looks like when you are finished
Live your story. Inspiring ❤❤❤❤
Thanks for the facts. Nice vid.
Hell yeah man, this hits deep
God bless you man, have a good week!
Every year 500 people die falling out of BED!
Thanks for the reply. Garrett is an advocate to help people understand there is a way to prevent that.
@@MikeDonnellyFL I am a retired chaplain. I like Elizabeth Kubla - Ross who had the idea that living at home for as long as possible was the most humane. In an institution or rehab, anyone shares the same nurse with about 13 people. At home, individual care is so much better.
You are so right. Our entire platform is geared toward creating Accessible homes so that people can age in place. I appreciate your comments
