    Hi maam. May video po ba kayo about what to do for Philhealth while working in the US as J1 teachers. Since sa pagkakaalam ko, ang J1 teachers ay hindi OFW, so ang rule for OFW with regards to Philhealth may be different. Would you know if we can voluntarily pay Philhealth? Parang unfair kasi kung susundin yong rule na 4% pf salary eh wala naman sa Pinas tapos may mga health insurance na rin ang J1 sa US. Thank you.

    • @Teachingandmore

      if you want to be able to get a green card you should go for h1b. If you are coming with your spouse, under h1b rule, the spouse is not allowed to work.
      H1b requires a state teaching certification before going to the US j1 does not. J1 dependent can work. which is better is up to you

      I have not heard of them before. They are also not on the list of J-1 visa sponsors of US Dept. of State. They do not have a website either. If you check their TH-cam channel they only have 13 subscribers and the channel is very new. It is really up to you if you want to work with them. But my suggestion is to work directly with visa sponsors. This video already gave you information about these legit visa sponsors that do not ask for any fees.

Will this experience in academy count if I apply next year ? Or is it that I should be currently working in a school and not in an academy?

    • @Teachingandmore
      @Teachingandmore  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It could be expensive but if you are okay with it, you want to make sure that they do all the hard work. Some agencies would still ask the client to look for a visa sponsor or employer, according to a lot of teachers I spoke to. So, since you are the client make sure that it's clear that they should be the one looking for a visa sponsor for you as well as an employer (school/district). I am encouraging you to do the process yourself. That's what teachers are doing now. I made a video about how/where to start.
