    I can only speak for Australian teachers here but the numbers are slightly off. Salaries of course vary widely throughout different states and territories but after 15 years, one would definitely earn more than USD60K/year. This is a great video though, I hope this comment doesn't come across too negatively. Keep doing what you're doing, we appreciate you 😊

      Great point! Salaries do fluctuate and vary based on many factors in many of these countries. Many can often make more or less depending on several variables. It definitely helps to get present day insight from people who are native to these areas and working in similar roles. Thanks for sharing your comment! Much appreciated :-)

      Nice! Salary in the US, as you may already know, is very different state to state and often within states. Salary earned often depends on education and certifications received, years of experience, and type of school you in which you work. Many are never as fortunate to see that salary number you shared in their entire career. Thanks for sharing!

      Hello! Do you have a TEFL certification? See more about it here: premiertefl.com/?ptaff=972
      According to International TEFL Academy, some of the best countries to teach English abroad without a college degree are the following: Cambodia, Costa Rica, Spain, Argentina, Mexico and Myanmar. Before traveling to any new country to teach, you always want to do your research first before deciding to move. Check for things such as safety, cultural norms, and access to certain resources before deciding to make a decision.
      Many recruitment companies can also be a helpful source to find work and learn more about a specific country you are interested in traveling to. th-cam.com/video/YaUKWhJ85U4/w-d-xo.html

      Thank you for sharing! There are many reasons as to why you may not be hearing back from a school. Since I'm not sure of how you applied, what you submitted, the needs of the school/company you applied to, your education and skillset based upon what's in your resume, it's not easy for me to pinpoint what may be causing the delay. I'm also not sure where you are applying. Some places may not simply respond. Some places may just hold your resume on file and reach out if they happen to feel you may be a fit for a position within the school. However, your concern is a good topic for a video that I may create to help people increase their chances of getting hired. Feel free to let me know if you have a specific question or any other comments. In the meantime, I wish you luck with your search.

    Covid taught us 1 teacher can teach every child in the country. That's why we have to privatize

    • @essennagerry
      @essennagerry 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is not true - although I agree that in virtually every country the way teaching staff is managed and the way teaching as a whole is organized can be significantly more efficient, we definitely need a good amount of teachers. Also, privatization (?) doesn't mean you are immune to being brainwashed by marketing, ESPECIALLY in the anglophone West. Trust me, I'm European, and there's a lot to critisize in the educational systems of many European countries, but the intellectual bubble e.g. Americans live in is insane to me. But it makes sense. It's the anglophone sphere... people in the anglophone sphere do not need to learn a second language or really look outside their own system. There is a lot that can be better for university education in the U.S. and it is things already implemented in many European countries. Same goes for health care and social security. I by no means support communism, but a careful regulation of capitalism with some socialistic elements implemented by the government seem the wisest way to go, to me, and the difference between the U.S. and EU countries make this evident, in my opinion.

      I totally appreciate the comment! The salaries mentioned are averages. This means that it will not include the outliers who make significantly more or less that what's being quoted in the video. Congrats to your moms 20-year commitment in the field! I wish more teachers would get recognized for the dedication by receiving higher salaries. Thanks so much for watching. 😀

      Yeah it varies wildly by state. I made 60K in Vegas (NV) after 6 years, but under 40K in Florida after 8. Meanwhile my friends in NJ & NY make $100,000+. I’m abroad now ‘cause it goes much farther here!

    I have been working as a primary teacher from past 3 years. I want to enroll myself in a pgCTL course. My query is after this course will I able to apply in above mentioned countries as a teacher? I have done my Bachelors, Diploma in Education and pursuing Master's. Thank you your response is appreciable.

      Thank you for your inquiry! Do you have a teaching certification from your home country? Many international teaching positions will require a teaching certification from a governing agency in your home country.

      @@underratedteacher Thank you for your reply. I do have I.e. D.ed(Diploma in Elementary Education). Is it sufficient or else do I need Bachelors??

      @@AishwaryaSymum23 Most of the positions I've researched often require at least a Bachelor's degree or a 4-year university degree or higher. This does not mean that some places may not accept it, but that's what often requested by many of the public and private schools.

      Salaries in the US can be a bit low depending on many factors (e.g. years of experience, location, degrees and credits earns, public vs. private, and more). Teaching abroad can be an experience of a lifetime!

      I’m at 80K in China & they pay for housing plus lots of extra perks. In the US I made decent money in Nevada (~$60K with a grad degree and six years’ experience) but under $40K in Florida with 8 years’ experience and a grad degree! So it varies immensely in the US.
