It's hard to lay down aces, but not if it's only two pair, playing the board, by the river. I assume you don't actually play poker though, just commentate.

The only hand she could get value from is Qs and it's very unlikely somebody would call with Qs because of her image. So her bet targets absolutely nothing and only got called by a much bigger hand ( like straight, QK or a full house ) . If she really put Bill on 9Q then she definitely had to shove in order to get him out of the small straight, but instead she only bet the 75% of the pot and give Bill a great odd to call with. If she wanted to make a block bet then make it like 6k and then fold when got shoved.

It's literally impossible to know why Bill does what he does. His method for being balanced is to do things he shouldn't. He probably read Sklansky's "The Theory of Poker," but didn't understand most of it. In this case, most players of above average skills would have gotten all of Julie's chips. You can't know why a player does what he does, if he doesn't know.

As soon as I saw the 15k bet I knew what she was thinking. She had no idea if she was bluffing or not, so if Bill called, it would be value bet, if Bill shoved, she would say “priced in” with her 5k left. Both ways it will feel like she had no choice. This is a losing strategy- when your opponent is controlling the pace of betting but it’s even worse when you voluntarily gave that right away.

Some people just run it once. Greenstein comes to mind. I hate multi runs myseld because alot of the time it goes 50/50 and really there is no winner just a loser getting lucky he hit his card in one of the hands.
One of the best examples of how to NOT play aces vs one of the tightest players in live games. Why does she bet the river when every hand Bill might have raised the flop with still has her beat, save for literally only JT.
That flop connects everything you would call a raise with(any two large cards). that is not the flop you want to be calling large bets or raises with. Super System warns of these flops.
My friend told me because I hold 1 diamond I automatically 100 % block any potential of anybody else having a flush, no matter what. This is how people who think blockers are real play.

Blockers are more of a factor with pairing and connecting straights than with flushes because there are many more outs with flushes like 2.5-3x more. Like having an Ace and then pairing it on the board there is only 2 possible Ace for them to have but with having two hearts and three on board for the flush there are still 9 possible hearts out there so blocking is less of a factor.
@@hughjohn7778 When you have pocket Aces and the flop is KJ10(basically three to a straight and big cards which is worse than low card version especially with one opponent) they could have KJ/K10/J10/pocket 10/JJ(all which have you beat) or KQ/JQ/Q10 all which have your hand even money. This is a horrible situation to get involved in a large pot post flop with pocket Aces. You have to be able to make folds like this regularly to be a profitable player in the long run.

Im bet folding all day long on this flop against a tight reg like Kline... best case scenario he has AK and your drawing to the same straight which btw i think bill only raises like 2% of the time. Your essentially dead to either a chop or a 2 outer (if bill has the cahones to raise two pair here which i don't think he is good enough to do) or runner/runner like 70% of the time which in this case gives you in the region of 0.5% equity. Terrible play on the river too with the blocker bet. You beat next to nothing and you're NEVER getting called by worse

I like to run it twice in home games and low stakes cash games because in the event a split pot no one goes bust. Sometimes if I’m playing with my buddies I’d rather split pot and keeping playing then have them leave the table if they bust
I've never been in games where it's done but unless the pot is huge then you know poker is poker and just play it out but I can understand where it cuts down on the variance on huge all in hands
If you feel that you are a good player who will make money long term and you get all in post flop in a 50/50 situation, you may want to run it twice and reduce the variance. Good poker players don't want to gamble they want to maximize their skill over time. I can see situations where it's ok.
Terrible bet on river. She commits herself to calling if he jams & only a better hand is calling her bet..u can see her figuring this out after the hand is over..unfortunately she probably wont use this as a learning experience, rather she will whine that her AA got cracked. This is a losing strategy- when your opponent is controlling the pace of betting but it’s even worse when you voluntarily gave that right away.

Some people just run it once. Greenstein comes to mind. I hate multi runs myseld because alot of the time it goes 50/50 and really there is no winner just a loser getting lucky he hit his card in one of the hands.

One of the best examples of how to NOT play aces vs one of the tightest players in live games. Why does she bet the river when every hand Bill might have raised the flop with still has her beat, save for literally only JT.
That flop connects everything you would call a raise with(any two large cards). that is not the flop you want to be calling large bets or raises with. Super System warns of these flops.

My friend told me because I hold 1 diamond I automatically 100 % block any potential of anybody else having a flush, no matter what. This is how people who think blockers are real play.
@@easterbunnybrandon1796 Blockers are a factor but not a full proof solution. Blockers are more of a factor with pairing and connecting straights than with flushes because there are many more outs with flushes like 2.5-3x more. Like having an Ace and then pairing it on the board there is only 2 possible Ace for them to have but with having two hearts and three on board for the flush there are still 9 possible hearts out there so blocking is less of a factor.
@@hughjohn7778 When you have pocket Aces and the flop is KJ10(basically three to a straight and big cards which is worse than low card version especially with one opponent) they could have KJ/K10/J10/pocket 10/JJ(all which have you beat) or KQ/JQ/Q10 all which have your hand even money. This is a horrible situation to get involved in a large pot post flop with pocket Aces. You have to be able to make folds like this regularly to be a profitable player in the long run.

I was being satirical on how some players automatically cancel out certain ranges because they hold ex: Kx blocking AK ( yes it makes KK certainly less likely but that's it ) or perhaps holding the A on a 3 flush board and thinks value betting smaller flushes is out of the realm of possibilities. Obviously every hand is different and it depends on board textures but in general this is honestly how some people play blockers.

Probably the time collection, that the house receives instead of raking each hand. To pay the dealer salary, overhead, etc. Sometimes that's part of the dealer's job, to collect that when he comes into the game.

No Queen Jack and Ace Jack can't call 15,000 there.. only a king can. It's just a terrible bet betting 15,000 when you have 22 in your stack probably best to just check there also his call preflop is terrible with Queen 9 off . She made a big raise

@@davidleonard7439 it doesn't make much sense for a full house to bet only 65% of the pot with a pot sized bet left, after they both checked on the turn. I mean it is always possible that she has it, but that is not an optimal way of playing boat, nor is it how most people would play it.

Im bet folding all day long on this flop against a tight reg like Kline... best case scenario he has AK and your drawing to the same straight which btw i think bill only raises like 2% of the time. Your essentially dead to either a chop or a 2 outer (if bill has the cahones to raise two pair here which i don't think he is good enough to do) or runner/runner like 70% of the time which in this case gives you in the region of 0.5% equity. Terrible play on the river too with the blocker bet. You beat next to nothing and you're NEVER getting called by worse

I hate running it more than once, I mean why not run out the deck? I dont understand the point of it.
I like to run it twice in home games and low stakes cash games because in the event a split pot no one goes bust. Sometimes if I’m playing with my buddies I’d rather split pot and keeping playing then have them leave the table if they bust
I've never been in games where it's done but unless the pot is huge then you know poker is poker and just play it out but I can understand where it cuts down on the variance on huge all in hands

If you feel that you are a good player who will make money long term and you get all in post flop in a 50/50 situation, you may want to run it twice and reduce the variance. Good poker players don't want to gamble they want to maximize their skill over time. I can see situations where it's ok.

Terrible bet on river. She commits herself to calling if he jams & only a better hand is calling her bet..u can see her figuring this out after the hand is over..unfortunately she probably wont use this as a learning experience, rather she will whine that her AA got cracked. That is why some players will never progress because the refuse to learn from they're mistakes. Not sure what she was doing, bluffing? Value betting? river bet made no sense at all.
