Have been driving petrol Asta since 2017. Everything is top notch about thus car. Hight quality interiors, plastic & overall fit finish. Everything is almost like new after driving 55000 kms.
If we need refinement, durability, performance, resale need to go for updated Grand i 10 alternatively Tata Tiago is also best but rsale value only matters in Tata.
Hi Suhaib. We've focused on the diesel because it's the one with the updated engine. Should the petrol feel very different to the original, we will do a video for that too...
agreed.. hyundais are notoriously inefficient mileage wise and grand i10/xcent are no exception.. don't buy hyundai petrol at all if you are anything more than an occasional driver..
Things have just about settled after the Global NCAP tests last year and now the Latin NCAP is here to create another stir in the Indian market. Recent test saw the Made-in-India Hyundai Grand i10 going through the drill, and the result wasn’t good. The Hyundai Grand i10 scored a zero star in the crash test. Here it must be noted that the sae car is also sold in Europe and has been given a 4 star rating by the Euro NCAP. María Fernanda Rodríguez, Latin NCAP President said, “It is sad that the Hyundai Grand i10 offered in Latin America is different in terms of safety to the one offered in Europe. Given this result and knowing that Hyundai is a brand with presence in many markets around the world, where it sells the same products, they should offer the same safety level in all the countries. The base variant of the Grand i10 scored zero stars for Adult Occupant Protection while for Child Occupant Protection it managed to score two stars. The difference is the Euro NCAP rating and Latin NCAP rating is mainly due to the difference in equipment levels. Even the basic version of the European model comes fitted with frontal and side airbags. Aside from airbags, the European spec version also comes with ISOFIX anchorages for child seats, Electronic Stability Control and some other safety features that have helped it achieve a four star rating. The car tested by Latin NCAP, apart from the absence of airbags and ESP also reflected unstable performance of structure. very poor Hyundai they think life of indian people are not worth than other countries people shame on you hyundai..
grand i10 sportz 2016 vs grand i10 magna 2017 which is better and above 2 car vs tata tiago xt variant which is better? i am concerned about the mileage is there a big diffrence between the real world mileage of grand i10 and tiago?
Abhishek Chaudhary there is a lot of difference between the mileage of Tiago and grand i10... grand i10 only gives around 10-15 city mileage...better go with Tiago or wait for tata tigor...its launching in April and will be priced between 4 - 6.5 lakh..it will be a sub 4 metre sedan...wait for it then make your decision..🙂
Hello, I m confused which car to buy from Hyndai new i 10 grand (sports) or shal i have to wait for new upcoming Swift 2017 3rd gen model which going to launch in this year end. Or shall go for Volkswaga TSI waiting for your reply.
Excuse me Nikhil from Autocar India but i have a few opinions on this car and this video to begin with. First of a three-cylinder diesal engine is not meant to be any sort of fun to begin with, so don't expect fun with only 75 horses on tap. Secondly Hyundai is clearly not bothered to make the diesal variant do any performance ridden stuff, you also forgot to mention the fact that Fiat diesal engines are simply aren't as refined or reliable in any sense compared to Hyundai. I haven't driven a Figo diesal before so can't comment on how it performs. The biggest mistake you guys make is the fact that you guys never even bothered to review the petrol variant, much less bother to do any sort of performance testing for the tweaked suspension or do a power test/comparison with the new Maruti Ignis which considering it's looks, space, features and performance, rivals the grand i10 but is priced higher than this refreshed version which has every bit of the features that the Ignis has at this point. Please divert away from such dull reviews where all you do is drive normally and talk about the car blandly, rather than maybe pushing the car to a limit and showing us what it can really do or pitching it against rival cars at the same price point or performance bracket. This just shows how much pandering is done towards the automotive company of the car you are reviewing.
Hi Akhil. While you are right, the 3-cyl diesel isn't made for fun, still some degree of performance is always welcome :-). Also, the Fiat diesels were mentioned solely for their mid-range power, not for anything else. Again, we've only featured the Grand i10 diesel because it's the one with the new engine. Should the updated petrol Grand i10 be very different to the original, we'll do a video for it too. And finally, be rest assured, we will compare the car with its rivals in the future!
Nikhil Bhatia Hello there Mr. Nikhil, i never expected a reply directly from you, so i am a bit surprised but also happy that i got your attention. Just wanted to add on that i didn't mean to come across strong towards you guys, but i am a huge automotive blogger/enthusiast myself and whenever i do come to Mumbai from the US, i try to drive the new cars by borrowing them from my friends and giving my thoughts on it, as i am inspired to do hardcore performance tests like how TopGear UK would do, but also focus on the customer satisfaction, passenger safety and the usual stuff needed by the Indian family in a car.
I own a Petrol Grand i10 Sportz 2014 model. At speeds in excess of 120kmhr steering feels very light and u don't get confidence to even change lanes. Is it normal or is it the same for the facelift also ?
But its safe car and value for money compared to tin can maruti and expensive grand i10.. looking at tiago sales in last 2 years down the line Tata news cars will have good resale market.. Tata zest and Nexon scores 4 out of 5 stars in NCAP crash test.. None of Hyundai or Maruti cars scores more than 3 stars....
Ravin Chandra yes it definitely has. Hyundai re not meant for highway or high speed stability. Hyundai solves the purpose in city driving. it's very smooth very easy to handle. . Hyundai is best appeal for female drivers..

why do all car review shows only diesel versions? in-spite that majority of sales contribute to petrol-heads.
If we need refinement, durability, performance, resale need to go for updated Grand i 10 alternatively Tata Tiago is also best but rsale value only matters in Tata.
