- Maruti Suzuki has just launched the third generation Swift in India and this time the car comes across as a very impressive package but the Hyundai Grand i10 is no less, in fact it is also a value-for-money offering and comes with nice features and offers good practicality and fuel efficiency too. So which one to choose out of these two?
The Maruti Swift comes with 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel engines and while both of them get a 5-speed manual gearbox, Maruti also offers 5-speed AMT with both the engines while on the other hand the Hyundai Grand i10 gets 1.2-litre petrol as well as diesel engines but only the petrol engines gets the option of an automatic gearbox.

I bought grand i10 5 months back after checking swift. The looks and features may not be in par with swift. But if your looking for more refined engine, better built quality, value for money, safety go for grand i10. If you are looking only for mileage and more features and not bothered about safety go for swift. My car grand i10 was hit from behind by a 10 wheel loaded truck when stopped at a signal. I can't believe nothing happened to any of us inside and car damaged to some extent in the rear. Very thankful to Hyundai for saving us.

i dont think i10 has better build quality than swift ..both looks fragile to me ..i20 is better .
No ride quality in swift is greater than grand I 10 it's far away very smooth comes to safety even Hyundai is working out on reducing on weight in next generation and swift has very good rear space ..I feel swift is way better n out of sigment it's competent with I 20 not with I 10.
I will go for Grand i10 any day... Much much better build quality....better drivability....good to go in city as well as for intercity..

I hit a ciaz with my grand i10. Trust me nothing happened to my grand 10 and that ciaz was all destroyed.. rear bumper, both real tail lamps and dickey was crushed

Swift is best because it has got more comfort, fun and minicooper styling. Only one disappointing is ground clearance is very low
Grand i10 built quality is A1. My grand was hit from behind by alto 800 and surprisingly nothing happened to my car but alto's headlights , chamber and hood was gone for sure. Only damage to my car happened was it's rear boot door was getting half locked so I fixed it in only 150 rs . Cudos 🔥

Would pick Grand i10 anyday because of much better low end driveability and better build quality than swift. Also, Grand i10’s interiors may not be sporty but they’re very well put together and don’t rattle at all!

I own a grand i10 but I love swift. I only got it because I got Rs. 2L in exchange with my 2011 Alto which I got for Rs 3.5L. Driving Swift feels like driving a bike. Wonderful turning radius and an awesome pickup.
Driving i10 grand asta for almost 4 years. Build quality , fit & finish, ride quality, cabin feel, everything better than swift. Swift may be better on highways when driven at 130-140km. Only cons with i10 is poor milage & the steering becomes numb after 140km. Go for Hyundai cars guys...
Considering the hot and humid climate of this country, the rear AC vent in the grand i 10 makes a big difference between these 2 cars

Hi, I LOVE THE NEW SWIFT, and I will take the Suzuki Swift over the grand i10 any day. Its fun to drive, it has tight turning circles, It is a bit roomier than the grand i10 and I think the engine is much better and more free reving than the i10. I know this because I own the previous generation and I know the new one is much better, however I will not deny that the grand i10 has improved over the older i10 generations.

Last three years am using Grand i10. In my experience this car is grand one in both interior and exterior looks. The performance is also very good.I am a very satisfied customer of grand i10.
The Figo is a much more fun car to drive....
I bought 1 month back grand i10 asta petrol, i ride long trip for vizag it is really so smooth even heavy rain also we can drive easily. If road is good then awasome drive feeling.. leave it about millage ,safty is important first. I overtake almost heavy SUV,s also... finally I m so happy for it..
Guy's it's not our work to juge a car the both car are much better and don't forget that Maruti Suzuki have 51 percent shares in india

Yes, Grand i10 has the Refinement but whats the use if that refinement when it gets boomy when we rev it hard? Very commuter(ish) engine for the Hyundai. Fit and Finish is absolutely great in the Hyundai.
Swift on the other hand has a better engine for sure. Less said about the Hyundai Steering feedback and the MID, the better

I just bought grand i10 sportz automatic 7 months back n it was hit by indica cab in a junction from rear ...it was not a small blow but not even big also...i thought it will cause some crack..but really to my surprise there is even no small crack also... Grand i10 is awesome..

I have seen people talk about build quality of cars by the door thud, Maruthi’s are designed to have a soft and feeble thud whereas all other car manufacturers design their door thud with a banging feel. It is basically design which makes the difference. Even Maruthi cars can be designed to have a loud thud..

I used to get mileage of 10-12 on DZire coz I used shift gears at 3.5-4 k rpm now when I started shifting gears at 2k I get mileage of 17-18 so it's totally depends upon driver
Yes it's interior quality plastic feels slightly poor if compared to competitors but features gives are still better than others
Edited- my father drives brezza n I feel totally safe in that car strong SUV and also Maruti service is better than others( depends upon personal experience)
