    In today's video I'm doing a reset with you post holiday and a few weeks of not feeling so great. Sometimes it's hardest to do the things that are good for you when you're not feeling the best mentally, but then you find a little strength to get a few of them done. In this video I take you through what a typical day of a reset looks like, a grocery haul, how I manage days with higher calorie output and a really honest chat about mental health. I hope you enjoy this video. I do not share my calories for multiple reasons, mostly because I believe it would be unethical and dangerous for me to share. I would ask everyone to honour this by not about any numbers x

      I absolutely love your videos! They have been incredibly inspiring and provided a ton of helpful information.
      I have one question, based on comments you made in previous videos. You mentioned that you have someone picked out for your skin removal surgery in the United States. I used to weigh 493 and I am already down 53 pounds. I would be so grateful if you would share a recommendation for these surgeries and am approximate cost based on your extensive research. I need to start working now to save because I will absolutely need that treatment at the end of my journey.

    Carla... I always walk away from all of your videos with something inspiring. This one, I would have to say, has been the most inspirational of all... My lifestyle ( relationship with food) has gone down the tubes, and my bipolar depression has been kicking my butt. But your words of wisdom gives me hope that things can get better. I CAN get back on track. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!💖💖💖💄💄💄

    0:28 Carla -- thank you for creating a reset video! I'm almost 59--if I eat sugar the minor dark spots on my face become more pronounced. Clean eating -- and they go away. Good nutrition is such a healer.
    Our pantry and refrig are filled with items I wouldn't have tried had you not introduced them--- items we now incorporate into our food reportore ---nutritional yeast (staple now); seeds, Loads of different multi colored veg ( not just the same old same old), loads of mixed greens, fermented vegetables, and more.
    You have been a huge influence with how and what we eat.
    That you speak of and make mental health a priority is extremely helpful to hear and to open dialog about mental health without a stigma.
    You had alot of life changes in a relatively short amount of time. I've had 4 panic attacks in my life as major life events unfolded. Although they are exhausting it's our bodies way of releasing the gunk when the head can't take anymore. Let that gunk flow! ❤ You have an amazing family amd friend support system. ❤️

    Love the reasoning behind not sharing your calorie allotment. Strange and random is always the best 🖤You are always so genuine and that is what I love most about your channel. And thank you for the heads up on the lentil curls. We have a new to us Aldi nearby and now I have a reason to check it out!

    Dearest Carla, thank you so much for your candor, your vulnerability and openness about what you have been going through! All of us have gone through slumps at a time or gone on vacation and got out of sync. Or maybe life came crashing down.To see you pull yourself up and put into place all those core things you know will bring you back into balance , is inspiration to all of us on this weight loss or weight maintenance journey. Please keep the reset going and keep helping us do the same thing with you! You are amazing!!

    Hi! I went on antidepressant while my mom was dying, and I can't cry either! I cried months before she died, becauss I was caring for her for 4 years and she had dementia and I was actually losing her then. When she died in my arms, I didn't cry. At the funeral, I didn't cry etc. Weird. During that time, I gained 30 pounds out of the 40 I lost on bodyslims. I DEFINITELY need a reset. I did join BS for April xxox

    Thank you for your transparency in this video. You are so right-we don’t know what is going on with and in other people. It is so easy to idealize others. I was on antidepressants years ago -I quit crying but then felt numb. No laughter, no tears, no nothing. I didn’t like it. I stopped the medication.

    Thank you for your honesty Carla. It’s so helpful to know that also a PRO as yourself needs to reset, and can find herself addressing the same issues over and over. It’s helped me understand: I thought I was done, but I wasn’t as it’s a live long commitment.

    Thank u so much for sharing. Most of the time when we choose vulnerability, it's when others can relate and benefit most too.It's so encouraging to know that even YOU ( sb who inspired me for bodyslims) even after weight loss, have days/months of struggle, and nothing is just a straight line. It's obvious but so so encouraging to see/feel sb else going through something similar.

    💖💖💖I am currently doing a reset as well. We were in Cuba for 3 weeks and I allowed myself to indulge in what I wanted, but focused on no bingeing and volume control. I did really well, I am so proud of myself🥰!

    Carla, I really appreciate what you said at the end. Thank you, so much. You are such an inspiration to so many, it‘s very responsible of you to share so transparently, not to mention brave.
    The day before this video came out I was asking myself how in the heck you do so much. You must feel enormous pressure and overwhelm sometimes. No matter how much fun and how grateful we may be for the opportunities, it can all be too much sometimes (and for long periods).
    You are amazing. Really.
    I have to remind myself, even if I take a few hours off and zone out, the brain is processing and making decisions. I‘m a creative, like you (I‘m a singer) and we often don‘t have straight line energy. It‘s more intense stop and go. That‘s why I admire your consistency so much.

    Thank you for sharing your reset journey with us!! I'm losing weight so dang slowly. I just want to get the weight off me, so I've decided in this next week to reduce my calories by about 300. I hope I'll have more success with it. Your videos always inspire me.

    Glad you are starting to feel a little bit better, Carla! I was nodding and agreeing with you throughout this week’s video! I’m finding antidepressants and the menopause together with continuing my weight loss journey to be somewhat of a challenge especially after Easter and although I wouldn’t wish anyone to feel “rotten”, your straight forward honesty was so helpful and I didn’t feel so alone and such a failure for succumbing to my Ids rebellious ways!     I recently found your channel and love it. Im still catching up on older videos and watching the new ones. I’m on a fitness and weight loss journey this year and it helps to have videos like yours to keep motivated. Also the tips are amazing. I loved the Q&A video you did with your sister. I’d love to see you both do another one sometime. After that video I did the dare to dream thing where I put my face on a celebrity’s body. It was weird, but got weirder when I showed it to my mom. She was telling me that I’ve been slim before and why not use an old picture of myself for inspiration instead. I’ve literally never been slim in my life. I’m doing this weight loss year to finally be in a healthy bmi for the first time. I felt like she was gaslighting me into thinking I’d been slim several times before. But she wasn’t because there was no malice to her comments. In her mind she really thought that me at a lower weight was me as a healthy bmi person. It’s really had my head in a mess. And any advice you have or anyone in the comments has would be amazing. Thanks 💖

Utterly addictive and spirels me into seriously undermining craving cycles, anxiety and low mood. Out with it! Christmas amd Easter can be tough. Hopefully soon I will be able to afford a vlogging camera which has a mic input, when I bought my one I didn't realise it would be something I needed, but sure we learn. Hopefully the sit down videos are ok, I have a mic system for them but it's not possible when I'm on the go xx

    Thanks for sharing this Carla. I’ve too been noticing my own bad habits creeping in and my weight has gone up some and I too decided I need to do a test of sorts and get back to basics to help regulate myself so I feel good good in my skin. So much of what you share I can relate too! Thanks for being open about it cause I know it’s hard and I know you always have people giving their “think so and opinions”

    Thanks for sharing another encouraging video. I can so relate to having a reset. It helps to know even you slip sometimes….also I wanted to caution you guys about your fellows eating too much soy products and soy milk. Soy triggers estrogen production which is a no no for men and boys.

    What is good few meals that are low calorie and filling?
    I’m sick of just eating tuna, soup, cereal and still feeling hungry.
    I do have a sweet tooth (and that my only bad habit. And apart from that I don’t eat as much veg as I Should but I’m trying to change that!).
    I only drink water apart from one time a week.

      I think the best thing I've found is finding a couple of veggies or a salad you really like and having that on the side with every meal to help you feel more full no matter what you're eating.

      Potatoes are very satiating. I love eating them with green beans, a protein source (for me: tofu, tempeh or vegan meat) and some soy-joghurt with herbs and salt. I could eat this everyday. It satisfies me and I feel full and content afterwards even though I‘m in a calorie deficit

    Hello Miss, as a previous sufferer of panic attacks I can tell you that it's caused by too much caffeine and your adhd medication could be amphetamines. You are pushing your adrenals overboard and I suggest at least quitting the coffee or at least cutting down. There is a daily limit of how much you can have a day, same as food. You could even benefit from a caffeine reset.

    Carla. That started off great but we didn't see what you did with the pickles or how you put the salad together. Do you serve the pickled mix on the side? Did you put the pomegranate seeds in the salad? Is your regular salad recipe available?
