SD GUNDAM BATTLE ALLIANCE is an action RPG that allows players to battle Super Deformed (SD) versions of Mobile Suits from the Gundam series. It is available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. SD Gundam Battle Alliance is a Real-time Third-person ARPG in the Gundam series, developed by Artdink and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment.
The story takes place in G: Universe, a world where Gundam canon twists and turns in ways no one can predict. To correct this world's distorted history, the player leads a 3-unit squadron consisting of Mobile Suits and pilots from across Gundam history - a true Battle Alliance.
In SD Gundam Battle Alliance, Mobile Suits and characters from across Mobile Suit Gundam history take center stage in this all-new action RPG. I was never really a fan of mecha anime but Gundam always holds a weird place in my heart especially Gundam Wing I liked how the gundams in that one each had a unique weapon and fighting style

It's crazy cause most of us came in on gundam wing and they didn't even put the other gundam pilots or their gundams in this game....where is deathsythe hell and sandrock and heavy arms and notaku...we just get wing zero and epyon...but seed has all gundams and 00 have all the gundams

MS 8th Team was an incredibly in depth story that tried to tackle the often grey areas of war and it’s warfighters.
I appreciated that they took a page from history and presented everyone as human.
Space Battleship Yamato 2199 executed this brilliantly as well.
Love mecha and mecha design. Mecha are intrinsic to anime and Japanese culture. Pretty cool to see you playing this.
One of the things I love when they do it every now and then is when mech games put in the characters anime like,even inserting anime cutscenes in between but the mech and rest of the world looks so real or anime like its like you are getting a game but also watching an Anime,Zone of Enders 2nd runner did that for ps4 and I loved it. I love Gundam especially SD gundam.
15:30 "blocking doesn't make as much sense as dodging" Supposedly if you time it PERFECTLY you can unleash a counterattack by blocking at just the right moment. Not sure though, since I haven't actually played the game yet

Well, he doesn't tend to do a full series of anime games on the channel because on the only video he did of Tales of Arise, he said that anime games don't tend to be good to earn income. I'm a huge Gundam fan also and it would be awesome if he did a full series but it's what he thinks it's best.

I don't understand how a franchise like this has failed so hard in the West. The stories are well told and it's serious tones are phenomenal.
I’m not sure either to be honest a lot of people I know enjoy gundam but I didn’t even know this game existed till just now 👀
It's cuz the mecha genre as a whole has had its time and it's pretty much niche at this point in the west anyway, this genre HAS been going on for about 50+ years
this generation of young anime fans is geared towards the whole *isekai wave* n those op pretty boy type shows/media
i think the difference is that gundam is a very big part of japanese pop culture. but with transformers, the robots themselves are the characters, which has alot more initial appeal to someone who just wants to get into a robot series. "why does it keep showing me anime people talking? i want to see the robots!" gundam will take more patience.
but still, gundam isnt exactly a fail in the west, its still iconic enough that a big chunk of the world will recognise a gundam standard mech when they see one. but probably not a zako

I'd recommend G Gundam for a nice simple story, and 008th MS Squad and Gundam the origin for quick but nice and intriquite OVA series
The animations and graphics are really well done! I may have to pick this one up. The terrains are a little boring but it's a Gundam game they don't have that big budget funding some bigger games get. They started talking about Gundam Wing's operation METEOR at the end!!! The nostalgia is kicking in big time.

SD Gundam is it's own preexisting universe it has had multiple anime going all the way back to the late eighties and it's pretty fun to watch actually each iteration features new characters, new stories, and new locations but generally take place in the same overall universe
