    Kind of pricey and most have bad seats and fenders and no way to mount a rack or rear bags. Better batteries and the ability to charge at public charging facilities would be better.

      That and this zero emissions brag is well incorrect. It’s very small but in no way zero.

    no chance to replace your old motorcycle now.
    loading times are too long and the range too short.

    there is still a lot to improve to replace your old motorcycle.

    "Zero emission future" The 21st century grift..
    How will you mine the minerals for the batteries?
    How will you make the plastic that's all over these bikes?
    And how will you charge them?

      Hello, thanks for your feedback.
      1) Fossil fuel production is by no means a clean process. No one is denying that electric cars are perfect and fully environmentally friendly but there are numerous reports stating that they are cleaner option
      2) The same technology as before
      3) Our neighbors have EVs and a home solar setup, that is how they charge, so it's a possibility.

    All of this means absolutely jack crap until ALL of the following requirements are met
    1. An electricity refueling infrastructure that easily rivals the mass availability of our gas stations.
    2. charging systems that refuel the bike in less than 15 minutes
    3. PRICE of the bike goes down to 10k...plus tax
    4. RANGE per charge easily clears 200 miles ( and we're NOT talking with some tooth pick sub 110 pound man on it either or sub 85 pound woman) and that's ALL interstate highway miles at 60 mph the whole time..btw..not barey put put - ing it around 30 ish mph speeds around town with stop and go to recharge the damn battery
    Until then...no sale.

    Great with all these new electric motorcycles! I just miss a comfortable place to grip the bike with your knees. Almost all of them seems to lack this funktion. They look extremely uncomfortable for the knees. In my opinion thats a crusial part, and a way to control your bike. Look at motocross bikes, and most of the regular bikes, they are more ergonomically designed in that matter. ⚡️⚡️👍🏻

      @Datacube  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, thanks for your feedback. Yes, you are right. Most of electricity does not come from renewable resources but we still cannot deny that fact that solar and wind generation is zero emission.

    • @hillbillyharvey4605
      @hillbillyharvey4605 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Datacube: Yes, but the fact is that the manufacturing process in making solar panels and any type of electric motor requires large diesel powered mining equipment. The batteries and solar panels used are rare earth minerals and there is simply not enough to electrify the world's vehicles. Also recycling batteries is a very toxic endeavor. Also wind turbines have been proven to cause environmental damage to birds and wildlife as well as weather patterns. I am not saying these things to pick a fight. I am a motorcycle enthusiast myself and I do think the electric bikes are pretty cool and that there is room for them in the market. I used to think that solar and wind power along with electric vehicles was the way to go. However after educating myself on the subject it in fact turns out to be worse for the environment.

  • @jameslester4474
    @jameslester4474 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Yeah, nooooo. Still not there for me yet. Every Electric Motorcycle I've seen so far , looks horrible. Either Dirt Bike Enduro looks, or some form of superbike setup. I want a True Commuter Motorcycle that I can sit on comfortably for trips to work or wherever, that has some storage space, a Seat, that doesn't look like a micro banana to sit on, you know something Comfortable, that gets a realistic Range of 250 miles, and that doesn't mean at 30 mph in the City, that's on the Highway, a top speed of 80 mph, but also the bike can run all it's power out at 65 mph to the full range !
    Don't need zero to 60mph in 3 seconds, flatten out the power curve, so it accelerates in the 6 to 8 second range, plenty fast to get on the highway, and then... then you may get me looking. Oh, and keep the Center of gravity low enough that it doesn't feel like a tree trunk up high when you lean into a turn you feel like the thing is going over with no way to stop.
    Surely SOMEBODY out there can design a Motorcycle that's not just like everything else everyone else is making !

    It's time that electric bikes that are serious give you charging times fir CCS.
    If you are planing to go some tripps with your bike, you need to know if you can drive longer than your cord.
    And also, if they increase the voltage of the bike, you can increase the carging speed. In Norway you get subsidies for big electric bikes. But, if the bike producers stopped beeing idiots, maybe we can se the revolution?

      @@ronaldthomas9396 "Almost everything found in an EV battery can be recycled, sometimes multiple times. Lithium for example (which actually makes up a small percentage of the battery) can be recycled many times over. Aluminium can be recycled over and over and over, along with many of the other EV battery components. In fact I've spoken to the owner of a battery recycling company in Auckland who stated they can recycle a minimum of 95% and up to 99% of an EV battery, and that they're already set up to do so. However they've not been able to recycle any EV batteries yet, as they haven't been able to get any, in other words there are no EV batteries that need recycling yet."

      Funny thing is that they talk about Auckland which just happens to be in the same country that I live in. NZ is a small backwater, yet we can recycle EV batteries, you can bet the rest of the world does as well.
      EV battery are usually double used, first in cars and then when they are too used up they are used for home power storage. Try buying second hand EV batteries, they command a premium.

    All these manufacturers have clearly got ev motorcycles totally wrong, there’s always something wrong with each model! Either too heavy, not enough range, too low maximum payload/can’t carry a pillion, ridiculously expensive! They need to get these things right in one bike to please the customers.

    • @Rusty-Gold
      @Rusty-Gold 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      They haven't gotten it wrong, currently manufacturers are just doing their best. We're still in a Early Adopters market considering EV moto's. Since the mainstream technology to compete with ICE motorcycles is not there yet, EV Moto manufacturers are making niche models for niche markets. We can't yet make a really nice allround EV for a competitive price, so now you mostly just see extremely heavy and expensive EV's or lightweight, slow ones that are basically just MTB's that have almost no range, which still cost 6k.
      It will take many years to get there.

      Are ICE vehicles emission free? The electricity comes from the same place the oil refineries take it from when they refine the fuel for your car, which then puts out emissions as it burns that fuel, wasting 70% of the energy in the fuel as it does so.
