    I bought a Qulbix Q140MD electric dirt bike this summer and I have 1700 kilometers on it so far. An amazing bike with insane torque. Also has IP67 rating for dust and water, which is insane.

    I grrew up in the 80s riding 2 strokes, I never even thought I'd see this day. Electric dirt bikes. My how times are changing. Currently I have no need for a dirt bike at my age but I am getting a gorilla ebike which is pretty damn close.

    Funny how I could get a conversion for my old push bike for well under £500 that is pretty close to these things that start at 10x the price.
    When they stop being greedy and start selling these things at reasonable prices I might get one, for on road I'd be happy with hub drive but for off road its mid drive..

    • @FlyingFun.
      @FlyingFun. 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@icestationzebraassociates2460 yasir course, and if someone asks me to build them one I'm hesitant because it's a fair bit if work and then there is the issues of dealing with any problems they might have.
      I also understand it's a business for the manufacturers and they are in it for the money so charge whatever they can get away with.
      Competition is wonderful thing though so in time prices will settle down.

    Talaria Sting is the best bang for your buck. Definitely a larger and heavier Surron 2.0 that feels more planted at higher speeds. People might not like changing the gear oil but it takes 15-20 minutes to do so. The range is pretty good. The stock knobby tires are underwhelming for street riding and the brakes are sufficient enough but eventually should be upgraded. The instant 0-30mph torque is amazing. You can't ride a regular dirt bike on the bike lane or the side walk but you can with the Talaria.

      @@1917VIL never said it was legal to ride in the bike lane. Where i’m at, the cops could care less. I ride it on the bike lane daily. I ride it on the street and sidewalks. there’s a thing called not being an idiot so it won’t bring attention to yourself especially the cops.

    once the battery drop to minimum volt the battery can not produce enough amp to support max Torque of the motor. unfortunately the entire wieght of the machine has not change! where as combustion machine can maintain the max Torque even the petrol drop up to 80%, the entire wieght of the machine reduce also.

    There are many questions which are either avoided or the answers depend on who answers them. Let's be clear, the warranty isn't provided, the number of battery charges is not answered, chances of acquiring traffic tickets,,,,,,unlimited although subject to impound fees, hospital fees without limits although cars are more likely to be at fault. Coffin on wheels and life insurance may not be applicable. For 15000, I think I'll pass and apply it towards a down payment on a totally street legal, electric car.
