Another killer retrospective video, Len. Crue's "Too Fast For Love" and Loudness' "Thunder in the East" we're the soundtrack to my teenage summer of love (1986). Shortly after, I began to listen to heavier thrash bands like Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax, Testament, etc, and wouldn't admit to still liking the old "poser" bands, but it was all just a front. Too Fast for Love is still one of my favorite metal albums of all time.
My friends met Queensryche in a parking lot on the day of their concert back in the 90s. They signed their mags but had no tickets to the show. No, they weren't invited as special guest butbat least they got to meet them.
In 1988 I was 16, turning 17 and my best friend, and fellow high school drop out, worked in a little gas station booth. We used to have like 8 under-age friends drinking beer, smoking, etc. in that little booth. Imagine walking up to pay for your gas and there's like 8 teenage metal head stoners partying, and playing metal in the tiny booth. People, understandably, looked freaked out. One time, we were all drunk and decided to cover the front glass window with spitballs. When a nice, young teen girl came up to pay, my friend stumbled forward, and wiped off all of the pitfalls, and was standing there in a cloud of smoke! He was "Hey man, how can I help?" The girl, seeing all of us stoners partying, just laughed and paid for her gas, and was like "party on gentlemen". One friend got her number, running out the back door or the little booth.
@@LenEnders We are very close in age. Great Video Len 😉! Born in 1972 here 😊 My 11yo daughter calls me old and rolls her eyes when I talk about those wonderful 1980’s But when you look around these kids today are copying just about every bit of it…. My dad was born in 1970, he was a teenager in the mid to late 80’s he loved every kind of 80’s music, from pop, rock, new wave and heavy metal, he bought albums and shirts, and taped the music videos off of MTV, some of his favourite 80’s bands and artists were Billy Idol, Prince, Michael Jackson, Cyndi Lauper, Madonna (who he had a huge crush on) Duran Duran, Van Halen, Motley Crüe and Guns n Roses, just to name a few
Born in 66….first concert was Ozzy in 81…after that, Scorpions, Metallica and my number one Iron Maiden (still is)…1983 and beyond I was all punk, DK, Black Flag and my number one (Butthole Surfers) still is. Thanks for sharing Len.
You should do a collaboration with Eric and Darrell. You guys are awesome. So answer a burning question. What are some of the bands that you re-discovered in the late 90s early 2000s that you didn't remember from the 1980s that you fell in love with? Examples for me: Babylon AD, Trouble Tribe, Roxus, Helix, and Sweet FA to name a few.

When I was in my early 50s I looked very young .people thought I was in my 30s.i felt great.then just like a light switch when I turned 55 I aged overnight.enjoy it while you can because it's fleeting.
Your Sebastian Bach look was pretty rad.
I recently bought a bundle of Circus mags from '85 for an advert I am collecting for the art. Its for Iron Maiden done by Derek Riggs. I am 37 (as of tomorrow) and was not around for these so besides the one advert I am genuinely excited to read and collect them like you did. They look to be in perfect shape so maybe they did the same trick you did ha ha. Another awesome vid!!
Thank you and happy birthday 🎂 🥳
You’re so cool Len !

Seen Motley Crue and Skid Row in Frankfurt Germany in 1989. Man, that was a wild concert, will never forget it.
