In this case I'm referring to video games, music, shows/films, and the technology used to play all of these forms of entertainment. I was hardly interested in anything past the 2000s. Rarely playing a handful of games for the Ps3, and even then it was my 2 younger brothers who were more interested in the then, latest media. Around 2015 I barely began to play on the Xbox 360, by that point it was already an outdated gaming console since the Xbox One came out in 2013. The only games I played on the 360 were Minecraft (console edition, man that was a great version), and an already relatively "old" game called Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning (released in 2013, and both the game and the company that made it have a ridiculous story behind them). The 2nd game was okay to somewhat good imo, but definitely not the worst game I've played.

The only thing CN had at that time that my friends and I in high school liked was Regular Show and Adventure Time. But other than that, it sucked. I hated that they took Teen Titans off the air, among other classic shows. The only reason I even bothered watching CN at that time was because of my friends telling me about Adventure Time and Regular Show. But gaming at that time was incredible. You had two Elder Scrolls games come out relatively close to each other and multiple Halo and COD games. You'd play almost every weekend with your friends. @childishdestino of course man, the only culprit I can think is the overly convulted thumbnail but the video itself was on par with some of the big guys. I'd recommend remaking the thumbnail to be simpler, there is a rule in thumbnail design, 3 points of focus or less.
As a person who was born in 2004, I freaking miss 2010-2019 The Amazing World Of Gumball, Adventure Time, and Regular Show are the best cartoon network show ever! I wish I was a kid :(
Born in 2000 and let me say, 2010 changed everything for me, from using TH-cam with my old suspended account, watching old nick shows on Netflix, Regular Show, movies like Kick-Ass and Hot Tub Time Machine, all around good stuff, all that changed around mid 2014, I miss those days but we gotta move on.
Same! 2007 here as well! It’s genuinely sad to see all of our favorite games and cartoons not really talked about a whole lot anymore. My old 3DS and Wii are actually turning 10 in a couple of days which is kinda sad but neat to see in a way.
one thing about 2000's and early 2010's is that the culture was also very different with it aswell, people were just really alive to just party and have fun and i feel like life was really at its peak, this was the time where technology was growing rapidly for not only consoles but for phones aswell, the ipod turning into the iphone and ipad getting released, people were experiencing greater newer technology, an iphone 4 or 5 can just fit super small in ur hand now compared to phones nowadays where they're pretty big. trends back then everyone was apart of no matter what it really was. i think the fashion sense back then was simplistic but alot of people mixed it up in their own ways. (also the justin beiber hate loool)
Yep, technology really changed quickly back then. Just look at early TH-cam vs early 2010s TH-cam it's like night and day. I remember we had to put in a special URL just to see if a vid would load in HD 😅
I was born in 2008. I distinctively remember watching HOURS of vine compilations and later Elsa-Gate purged matterial on youtube at around 2015-2017. Simpler times man.
bro this is the early 2010s relation, your still in highschool right now meanwhile all of us that fit into this video we’re classes of 2016-2022 idk like when Harlem shake came out you were probably in kindergarten 😭 sorry for hating but 2008 trying to relate to early 2010s is like me relating to the 90s and I was born in 2000
Born in 93, so many of these memories shared here hit so close to home. From the late night zombies runs with the squad to LBP and Minecraft with the homies. Would love to go back.
I’m another early GenZ baby (born in 1996), and 2010 to 2014 were my high school years. The late 90s, the 2000s, and the early 2010s were the best time for childhoods imho in terms of culture, music, gaming, tv, sports, school (certain aspects), friends, nostalgia-building, toys, phones, computers, and the internet.
This video described my childhood extremely well, but this might be the first time someone mentioned Rayman Raving Rabbids WITH the mention of the ”Guitar Hero” minigame which I absolutely loved lol (ladies night was my favourite song). Kudos to you for making this!
1996 kid here. It was a really good time to grow up, because as a child you still had the things what we call now 'back then' like VHS movies, a lot of cool magazines, no distraction through social media or smartphones .but as a teen you got to that technology and it was fascinating. And everything was more connected, you shared cheat codes for games at school or battled someone with playing cards. Really nice times.
Honestly the people born mostly 2003-2004 and even 1998-2002 can can relate to the early 2010s Ah yes early 2010s a decade were someone born in 2003 can Relate to
I’m just so happy that you used specifically LBP costumes as examples of the 2010s type fashion trend. I feel like that isn’f talked abt enough and it makes me so happy that it was mentioned. 0:39
2004 mf over here. Your video brought back some very fond memories of my childhood. Especially connected with you when you brought up the PS Vita. That handheld was the best thing to come out of Sony's ass in a hot minute. It kills me that there will never be anything like it again. Just like all things we took for granted. Something I've noticed over the now 20 years of my life is that whenever someone today says that time has flown by, what they really mean is that everything's changed. It has. And really fucking fast. Fuck, man. It feels like I should still be a kid yet I'm technically an adult typing on a phone that doubles as a jack-of-all-trades rectangular prism that can seemingly perform miracles. If you told me fifteen years ago that future phones could take my pulse using nothing but the main camera I'd have called bullshit. Yet with the novelty now in hand, it doesn't feel as magical as, say, the first time playing Minecraft 1.7.10. I guess what I'm trying to say is that our early decades are what count when it comes to comparing our experiences to something. And even though I'll never get to emulate the feeling of watching a let's play on 2007's TH-cam ever again, I'm at least glad I did it in the first place. I also wish I had lived my childhood in the U.S. so that I could discover Adult Swim way earlier.
God I was starting my career as all this stuff you were talking about was happening, not a single one of the TV shows have I ever watched. 2010s were pretty damn good for gaming though, had not yet hit peak DLC/Day 1 patch time yet and the internet was still kinda niche but it was getting more mainstream than it was in '06
i was in high school during this era, and this was the time I started to get into gaming in general, as well as the time i started spending more time online and being on Tumblr. This was peak Tumblr era. This was also the time my time watching TV and listening to popular music was slowly dwindling and I spent more time either online or playing games. As for games I was playing during this time, it was mainly Mario Kart Wii, and 7, and lots of Pokemon since I got into the series in 2013 with Pokemon X. That was THE hyperfixation for the next few years. The friends I made during this time, mainly cuz of MKW, were.... good friends at the time, but I've sadly cut them off since then.
6:30 I know it's mid-late 2010s but one of 2016's defining songs is certainly "Closer" by Halsey and the Chainsmokers. If 2016 was included that would definitely be there.
the early 2010s were quite a memorable period for me, we had a Royal Wedding(As if anyone cares about the royal family anymore) and we had the Olympics in 2012 in the UK. I miss this period because it was also the time I had my main carer who I miss a lot.
I remember the first time I saw Robot Chicken (I was 9 or 10) and I was so drawn to it, even though I knew damn well I was not supposed to be watching it. The very next day I recorded a bunch of episodes and faked sick so I could watch them all day
Thank you! LBP was one of my biggest influences during my childhood. I remember I wanted to be a popular creator, and have a level MM picked. It always nice to see others that have played LBP.
I got hit by that pure sad melancholic nostalgia when the lbp music kicked in and memories of me and my brothers playing together for countless hours. I truly miss those days

2007 guy here. My favorite year of the 2010’s was 2014 because I got my 3DS and my Wii for my bday that year. I also grew up on 90’s Disney VHS movies and DVD’s. Watching the Lion King on VHS and Santa Paws on DVD was something 😂.
I myself was born in ‘04, so some of the stuff, I remember, just not as well. I can say for a fact that, while I didn’t start getting into pop songs until around 2012-2013 when I discovered the iheartradio app on my alarm clock, I do remember hearing my mom listening to these on her computer as she made dinner (she was a massive Bieber fan) as well as hearing some of them at school dances. I got my wii for Christmas of ‘11 and fondly remember playing New Super Mario bros with my younger brother on Christmas morning. It was always best when our dad played with us, since he was way better at it than either of us. I remember watching Minecraft videos back in the day (my brother and I bonded over watching these together) and playing pocket edition with my brother and our dad, typically when our mom had book club. I also remember Cartoon Network and Boomerang and Disney Channel, but I didn’t watch them super often because my parents didn’t have cable tv, but my grandparents in upstate New York had it, though, so bet your ass I’d watch Cartoon Network whenever I was up there.
I miss early 2010s (2010-2012) those are best years for me in 5th grade. I remember Cartoon Network usually rerunning the classics from 2000s in those times and same thing Disney and Nickelodeon too. It felt like 2000s again feeling. The music better and they also old school hip hop remixes was better than modern mumble hip hop.

Early Gen Zer here (born in 2000), and words cannot describe how much I miss the early 2010's. Two years ago, I had a little breakdown about 2011 being 10-11 years old lol. I reminisce about the simpler times where I constantly make Flipnotes on my DSi. Even though my animations were shitty, I had a blast making them. Back then there was the CN Check It era with Gumball, Adventure Time, Regular Show. The Hub Network with MLP:FIM and Dan Vs. Nick with Big Time Rush and Victorious. And Disney Channel with Fish Hooks, Ant Farm, and Jessie. I really need a time machine here heh!
Nice this is when I grew up and sometimes I avoid these videos but I can’t deny we all lived similar lives , idk why I don’t like watching things like this I guess it makes me jealous? That doesn’t make sense but it kind of hurts idk why
as a person that born in 2002 its the best decade for my life. there is a lot of advance tech coming but we still share it and play it together in someone house. we always chatting in the class about the tips and tricks for a certain levels we don't complish it yet. we saw a youtube video in our friend pc while everyone dont have one.
I wasn't born in the US, but I've watched cn, Nick, and disney growing up, but i stopped watching cn, Disney and nick caus my house didn't have cable when I came to the US and becaus introduced to PBS kids and qubo Even though I was born in 2008 I've experienced every 2000s and easrly 2010s shows only because shows would air in random years and months but good thing is I was alive to watch them. when I came to the US in 2013, I still watched the big 3 and me and my family and I were living at a friend's house. 2014, when we moved to our house.
A lot younger, this might not even count age wise but early 2009er here (march). 90% of what you talked about i felt and experienced, i think mainly do to the fact that i lived/live a lot poorer than the people around me. late 2015 early 2016 i got a ps3 and used it exclusviely till around late 2019/early 2020 when it sadly broke. Genuinely brings back so many memories. I wonder if those people i talked to back then still remember me at all, mainly because i had a close nit group of people i played with. Luckily i still kept the hard drive so i dont know if maybe i could salvage my acc if i buy another ps3
and another thing to add to this that i dont know if anybody else had experienced but the rapid decline of their local mall. I remember back in 2013 going with my grandma their and it being full of people and stores and now theirs only 1 to 2 places really left with not a soul going in their. Really sad to see tbh
There was something so special about 2011 Minecraft, so magical. I remember the reveal trailers for BO1. How excited everyone was when they brought back zombies from WaW. When Adventure Time came out, all the popular music from that era, the fashion, the memes, the internet culture. What I would give to go back to the late 00s/early 10s for one day...
The Hub Network was my favorite channel as a kid. It introduced the world to MLP:FIM and it had so many great shows and fun promos. In some of the promos they'd get the actual voice actors for different characters to come in and voice for a 30 second promo or transition. My favorite one is the ones for the G3 specials and the Pound Puppies one where Nibbler was face timing Pinkie Pie and then pinkie invited every other hub network character to the vc to tell them a secret. They even got Nibbler's voice actor John Dimaggio to reprise his role in the promo, as well as Pinkie Pie's voice actress. They also had this cool game show series called family game night where families would compete on these giant versions of board games to win prizes. They also showed older cartoons along with newer ones so I watched the original Transformers cartoon as well as the like 3 or 4 new transformers cartoons that were released during the 2010s. The network was completely rebranded when 2014 rolled around and was changed to discovery family, losing a lot of its identity with the rebrand, so for me it's a staple of the early 2010's since it literally started in 2010 and ended in 2014, and didn't exist outside of that early 2010's timeframe.

For me, 2007-2015 was peak bcuz anything prior to that i was too young to recall well, and anything after 2015 was already morphing into a different era (MLG, TH-cam commentary/gaming explosion, Reel-like apps, etc)

I love how quickly you covered pretty much every big event that kids experienced during this time. We’ll never forget it
How does this only have 37 views? This video is genuinely good
Thank you, not only for the compliment, but for clicking on the video in the first place and giving it a chance!
@childishdestino of course man, the only culprit I can think is the overly convulted thumbnail but the video itself was on par with some of the big guys. I'd recommend remaking the thumbnail to be simpler, there is a rule in thumbnail design, 3 points of focus or less.
I figured that the thumbnail had quite a lot in it. I'll probably change it, we'll see
Update:
I changed the thumbnail not too long after I made the above comment, and now the video is at 46K views!

1998, so 2010s were my teen years 😢 damn it seems like yesterday and yet we live in such a different time
As a person who was born in 2004, I freaking miss 2010-2019 The Amazing World Of Gumball, Adventure Time, and Regular Show are the best cartoon network show ever!
2007 girl here 😢 I can’t believe I’m 17 and am already seeing “ back in my days “ videos
Same! 2007 here as well! It’s genuinely sad to see all of our favorite games and cartoons not really talked about a whole lot anymore. My old 3DS and Wii are actually turning 10 in a couple of days which is kinda sad but neat to see in a way.
2004 here. wait till you turn 20. it gets worse
2009 here
2000, it doesnt get much better, at least it didnt for me, then again possibly just not yet? Idk 🤷🏽♂️ 😂
Real shit, talking about “back in my days” about the early 2010s like it’s the 90s
one thing about 2000's and early 2010's is that the culture was also very different with it aswell, people were just really alive to just party and have fun and i feel like life was really at its peak, this was the time where technology was growing rapidly for not only consoles but for phones aswell, the ipod turning into the iphone and ipad getting released, people were experiencing greater newer technology, an iphone 4 or 5 can just fit super small in ur hand now compared to phones nowadays where they're pretty big. trends back then everyone was apart of no matter what it really was. i think the fashion sense back then was simplistic but alot of people mixed it up in their own ways. (also the justin beiber hate loool)
Yep, technology really changed quickly back then. Just look at early TH-cam vs early 2010s TH-cam it's like night and day. I remember we had to put in a special URL just to see if a vid would load in HD 😅
You’re trippin 😂 it’s really just nostalgia. Everyone has it for the time they grew up in
I was born in 2008. I distinctively remember watching HOURS of vine compilations and later Elsa-Gate purged matterial on youtube at around 2015-2017. Simpler times man.
That’s mid-late 10’s, but i get what you mean. I miss it too (born in 2003)
bro this is the early 2010s relation, your still in highschool right now meanwhile all of us that fit into this video we’re classes of 2016-2022 idk like when Harlem shake came out you were probably in kindergarten 😭 sorry for hating but 2008 trying to relate to early 2010s is like me relating to the 90s and I was born in 2000
Same i was born in 2001, i feel so old😭
Born in 93, so many of these memories shared here hit so close to home. From the late night zombies runs with the squad to LBP and Minecraft with the homies. Would love to go back.
Ahhh, little big planet. What a game. Its a real pity the servers shut down
damn, blast from the past; great video essay
I'm glad you enjoyed it 👍
Imma 2003 kid! Both the Late 2000s & Early 2010s were my most nostalgic main childhood era.
03 kid too for real 😭. I can just about remember life pre-financial crisis and pre-Obama (07/08) but the bulk of my nostalgia is probably 2009-2014
The mention of re-micks unlocked a memory of me seeing the Keep Your Head Up one on TV when I was 5 or 6
This video described my childhood extremely well, but this might be the first time someone mentioned Rayman Raving Rabbids WITH the mention of the ”Guitar Hero” minigame which I absolutely loved lol (ladies night was my favourite song).
Kudos to you for making this!
Great video this was on my recommended lol
Early 2010s was a wild time , played on PS2 Wii and GameCube I still do now a decade later
Honestly the people born mostly 2003-2004 and even 1998-2002 can can relate to the early 2010s
Ah yes early 2010s a decade were someone born in 2003 can Relate to
yess born december 2003 and this was the peak of my childhood.
Exactly! People act like we don’t remember that shit
Im growing up in the 90s but even i have some nice memories in the early 2010s but the 90s and 2000s are my nostalgia zone
Yess born August 12th
Duh. Especially 2002 as well, lol.
I am born in 2008 but still this has many memories that brought me back I find it insane that people older then me have the same memories
I’m just so happy that you used specifically LBP costumes as examples of the 2010s type fashion trend. I feel like that isn’f talked abt enough and it makes me so happy that it was mentioned. 0:39
I played that game too much back in 2013/2014 for me to NOT mention it.
I love this video for the fact that, it just feels like a homie rambling on abt the gold old days. Instant sub.
Beautifully said
God I was starting my career as all this stuff you were talking about was happening, not a single one of the TV shows have I ever watched. 2010s were pretty damn good for gaming though, had not yet hit peak DLC/Day 1 patch time yet and the internet was still kinda niche but it was getting more mainstream than it was in '06
*_1999 here, man those years were insanely good_*
2000 here can confirm those nights were great for my teens, halo and cod online were top goated
i was in high school during this era, and this was the time I started to get into gaming in general, as well as the time i started spending more time online and being on Tumblr.
The very next day I recorded a bunch of episodes and faked sick so I could watch them all day
This was wayy more relatable than most of these nostalgic videos, finally someone who owned a ps3 and vita like me.
PS Vita was underrated
playing ps3 with the boys in the 2010s was great also fnaf gave me nightmares
PS3 cod was great: 10/10 experience
same here.
@@childishdestinoYou forgot to mention Monster High and Qubo in this video.
Greetings from Germany, im growing up in the 90s but i like the early 2010 too. Imagine peoples in 2040 missing 2024.
By the way Germany won the world cup in 2014
I think that might be your favorite year
only few videos I've seen that talked about LittleBigPlanet. The game is so underrated, very good video:)
That LBP music just hits different
I was born in 2008 and I remember I would always hear the best songs oat and play Mario on my 3ds and my moms WII, even games were at their peak back then and YT as well even cartoons I wish there's a way to go back and experience those times again because it was so good
95 early genZ baby and 2010-2013 was the best high school years, take me back 😢

there’s some charm about playing old minecraft at lowest graphics at 15fps that new generations will never understand.

I still listen to most of those songs you listed today 😭

FINALLY SOMEONE WHO HAD A PS VITA 😭 Dude I played tearaway and it’s genuinely one of my favorite games ever. I got one a couple years ago to jail break it and now I go back to it every now and then. I’ve been meaning to play little big planet for a while now but haven’t gotten to it.
PS Vita introduced me to Persona 4 Golden and my life has never been the same since.
The bajan Canadian thumbnail at 12:27 brought back crazy memories
I was born in 2010 but grew up with Minecraft, Annoying Orange and Little Big Planet. I also watched Filthy Frank, Yo Mama and Smosh at a very young age without supervision, and I grew up with some 2000's stuff, mainly thanks to my older sister (born in 2000)

@ThomasAngelo139 Nice!
2007 guy here. My favorite year of the 2010’s was 2014 because I got my 3DS and my Wii for my bday that year. I also grew up on 90’s Disney VHS movies and DVD’s. Watching the Lion King on VHS and Santa Paws on DVD was something 😂.
This was a very enjoyable video, took me through memory lane
This deserves millions of views
What alarm clock has apps? lol
@ look up Chumby industries
I miss early 2010s (2010-2012) those are best years for me in 5th grade. I remember Cartoon Network usually rerunning the classics from 2000s in those times and same thing Disney and Nickelodeon too. It felt like 2000s again feeling. The music better and they also old school hip hop remixes was better than modern mumble hip hop.
Cartoon Network was the best. I used to watch a lot of keyblade as well, peak lego star wars too!
@@childishdestino I like OG Teen Titans, Ben 10 Ultimate Alien, Clone Wars 2003 version, Foster’s Home, Codname KND, Clone Wars 2008 version and Ed Edd n Eddy were best.
@@THEDARKKNIGHTXTDK I remember watching Ben 10 a lot until early Ultimate Alien and stopped due to how good Regular Show, Gumball and Generator Rex were. I'm still baffled that Cartoon Network shafted the last season of Gen Rex around 2013 to morning slots
@@ThatGuy-ky2yf I felt Cartoon Network died in the year 2013 because they don't run classics and Teen Titans Go! Came out that year then everything went downhill, and the dark age began. Worst times of all and everything changed.
@@THEDARKKNIGHTXTDK I'd personally say around 2016 because a few good shows were still ongoing like Adventure Time and Over the Garden Wall. I haven't checked the channel in a long time but there doesn't seem to be much that appeals to me since. 2016 and the disappointing Powerpuff Girls reboot alongside Steven Universe getting justified criticism was probably when people started to notice CN's quality decline.

Not mentioning the Harlem shake while taking about the 2010s is a crime. How do you remember Gangnam style but not Harlem shake 😭😭
Forgive me 😭, I swear I remember the Harlem Shake. I just forgot to mention it in this video.
elite years man. gonna spend the rest of my life missing them
The early 2010’s still felt normal like the decades before did and I’ll gladly look back on those 4 years, from 2010 and 2014 but the years afterwards just don’t give me fond memories that’ll boast to my future kids about. I’ll loathe those years a lot more.
i remember being a lil kid playing little big planet and cod, those were the times. I also remember having one of those old amazon tablets n having sleepovers w my friends and playing minecraft from 10am-12pm
PlayStation vita! I just got one and I'm excited to play it.

It was a good time. I was in high school then, graduating in 2014. Gaming was at its best with the Xbox 360.
Great movies and music can't live without them
I’m 22, life moves fast man, feels like last week I was playing little big planet and black ops 1 with my friends at sleepovers on the weekends
*I memba*
Nah scariest thing is when you went to bed watching CN and then adult swim scary ass shit popped up
WISH I COULD GO BACK IN TIME
Early 2010s:Candy Crush Saga and Subway Surfers
Late 2010s:Asian guys in thigh high cycling sleeves
1:20 only one ear can actually damage your ear because of the sound balance being too loud and wearing for just one eardrum
Time just don’t feel like this no more 😭
Dudeeee. Roblox 2012-2016.. I was grinding this game.
I loved Re-Micks. The ones I remember the most were Hello, When Love Takes Over, Ghosts & Stuff, and my favorite, Rocketeer
It was about 2 minutes into the video when I realized I didn’t grow up in the 2010s (born 1994), I just lived through them. Man I’m old
born in 99. So glad I got to experience my childhood without social media and internet and glad I got I got it during my teens. Honestly the best time to be alive
Gen Z remembered the early 2010s the same way Millenials remembered the early 2000s. It was a great time indeed!
As a kid i watched nick, nick at night. Cartoon Network. Adult swim. Disney, Disney xd. And some other channels when our cable got cut off. Oh yeah pbs! Dang I forgot about boomerang! It was lit watching it at 2am💀
2010 to 2015 was my secondary school years and I loved every minute of them years!!!
i wasn't conscious for most of the early 2010's but i remember playing LBP with my brother and i remember it was so empty, crazy to think people acc used to play together
BOOMERANG MENTIONED RAHHHHH. Drake and Josh, Spongebob, Tom and Jerry, Avatar the Last Airbender, DBZ, the list goes on and on. I did not expect the first section about TV to give me as much nostalgia as it did.
