@@SteveTerreberrythe Beatles are my favourite band, and I can give you a few mistakes. In She’s a woman (underrated song) John mutes a chord in the second verse. They didn’t do a retake cause idk. Another one is in all you need is love. The “solo” George plays is a huge mess up. There’s a few songs with vocal screwups, notably in harmonies. These include the studio cut of please please me, slow down, and Paul singing the wrong part in obladioblada. Paul also laughs during the recording of maxwells silver hammer. Hope this helps!
11:07 you can hear when Herman Li actually pulls up the tremolo bar/Floyd Rose that causes one of the strings broke after doing the harmonic whammy bar up before it goes down.
I think the Paranoid "mistake" was Tony playing a trill, but it didn't sound out properly. And the Creep thing was because of having to re-record the track so many times that they just grew to hate it. Johnny Greenwood was actively trying to destroy the song with those iconic chugs
From what I always got from Paranoid tabs (which are all wrong probably) it's open stringed harmonics kinda sloppily played on the 12th fret A and D strings. Either way it's part of the song, he even plays it live like that.
I’d never noticed most of these odd notes before! I think they add to the songs though so I’m glad it used to be a pain to cut them out. Well done for remembering pants haha!😄
Steve you know I can't wait for you to do a " How to be.." I've waited months for that.please make one again soon. You are crazy and I love you for it.
This is fun! The underlying Canadian accent - both quaint and ever so provincial - only adds to the irony of the character he's inhabiting. Bravo, young fella!
At the end of the final verse of "I Can't Get Not Satisfaction" when Mick says "and I try and I try and I try and I try, I can't get no" Keith comes in too early with the main guitar riff. You hear him play a note, then pause before playing the riff.
Whole Satisfaction is full of not so precise playing of the riff, since it was supposed be replaced by horns. He maybe used the fuzz pedal, Maestro FuzzTone for first time at that session so yeah, he comes late, one times plays early, you can hear him switch it on and off.
I noticed a mistake from Metallica too back in the day , when I was listening to the call of ktulu , I Always thought my cd has skipped, but at 00:13 you can hear it 🤘💀🤘
This is a very interesting video that confirms the theory that perfection is found precisely in imperfection. You can call these little mistakes "happy accidents" that made these songs iconic and even more intriguing. Personally, I hate excessive technicalities, I don't like too "perfect" performances that sound a little too cold to my ear. And you too Steve, forget about the "Delete" button for a while, let us hear some of your little mistakes, it will make the stuff you play much more captivating.
1. The Green Day one actually helps the song. That beginning is iconic. 2. I also thought the Dragonforce one was done by a keyboard/synth. The rest are barely noticeable with all the other elements around them, to be fair. Especially the Paranoid one

0:30 That WASN'T a mistake in Paranoid! Tony did it on PURPOSE! .....and it is a Harmonic!
This was a fun time. I found myself wanting more. Nice pants Stevie!
Well then I might just have to do more!! The Beatles have so many mistakes, I could do a whole episode on them!! 😂
5:40
"yes give me a fuh now" -popeye.
remember stevie?? 😃
11:07 you can hear when Herman Li actually pulls up the tremolo bar/Floyd Rose that causes one of the strings broke after doing the harmonic whammy bar up before it goes down.
OMG the Aerosmith tab book freak out/stroke was😊 HILARIOUS!
I always thought the "mistake" on Green Day's song was made on purpose, just to make it feel like a live performance.
8:05 Good. 'Cause I don't like Coldplay.
haha i like them😭😭
I think the Paranoid "mistake" was Tony playing a trill, but it didn't sound out properly.
3:38 oh oh is that a declaration of war against Davie504?
😱
The one exception
omg wonder wut ud think of 70's dub reggae bass!!! Also cud do a whole vid for jimmy page drunken live note fails
13:11 I think your just naturally funny Steve because I die laughing watching your videos all the time. 😂
I’d never noticed most of these odd notes before! I think they add to the songs though so I’m glad it used to be a pain to cut them out. Well done for remembering pants haha!😄
Yes, we are definitely spoiled in this digital age of music production!! I couldn't imagine having to leave one of my mistakes in a song!! 🤣
1:30 Your hair got longer all of a sudden! What the scrote??
Marble flight source? Ozzy.....Oh Sharon. Sharon.
4:58 jennifer's body 99.999999999999% accurate
12:44 You actually messed it up and muted a couple of the notes.
Steve you know I can't wait for you to do a " How to be.." I've waited months for that.please make one again soon. You are crazy and I love you for it.
10:55
Why does “end” sound autotuned?
I love your Gibberish when youbare angry
6:40 It's in an open tuning. that's why he didn't know.
4:26 ah yes the strokes
Stevie's favorite band...
8:07 awh, Steve actually cares about uss
11:19 pray for Steve's nails
Hi! Hope you have been doing well Steve. Herman Lee's "mistake" was pretty awesome! Probably couldn't have planned it to go that way. 😊
Exactly!! Wouldn't have happened if he actually TRIED to break his string!! I wonder if it's ever happened to him live... 🤔
I heard he did 103 takes until the string broke
My favorite mistake is in the solo from David Bowie's Space Oddity. A nice chill solo that ends with.... bebaBuBOWWW!!
11:35 - Yeah, so aggressive he grabs his $30,000 guitar by the strings and knees it, snapping it in two !!!
This is fun!
The underlying Canadian accent - both quaint and ever so provincial - only adds to the irony of the character he's inhabiting. Bravo, young fella!
Explain. What is a Canadian accent?
At the end of the final verse of "I Can't Get Not Satisfaction" when Mick says "and I try and I try and I try and I try, I can't get no" Keith comes in too early with the main guitar riff. You hear him play a note, then pause before playing the riff.
Whole Satisfaction is full of not so precise playing of the riff, since it was supposed be replaced by horns. He maybe used the fuzz pedal, Maestro FuzzTone for first time at that session so yeah, he comes late, one times plays early, you can hear him switch it on and off.
The sloppy nature of the song just adds to its charm.
Every songs got mistakes and they’re cleaned up by the engineer.
Unless you’re Jason Becker.
Getting songs in 1 take
The salad stroke bass line by BOC was in fact 1981, not the 70s. I think it was originally intended for a Buck Dharma solo album.
Megadeth did a version of Paranoid and Dave starts yelling at Nick Menza because he keeps right on drumming. Nick.... Nick!.... NICK!!!
I noticed a mistake from Metallica too back in the day , when I was listening to the call of ktulu , I Always thought my cd has skipped, but at 00:13 you can hear it 🤘💀🤘
1:05=Recorded in 1970, I think we can rule out it being a digital...anything. I think that's actually part of the lick.
That note Tommy slid into ended a half step down from what you played, which actually worked
Steve should have made a song out of all of the collaborated note fuck-ups and then shredded in a solo to the song compilation 😂
3:25 seven nation army?
You ALWAYS make me laugh til I cry! Bless you Stevie
I am indeed impressed that you put on pants, good job Steve.
1. The Green Day one actually helps the song. That beginning is iconic.
2. I also thought the Dragonforce one was done by a keyboard/synth.
The rest are barely noticeable with all the other elements around them, to be fair. Especially the Paranoid one
