How To: Installing Plugins on macOS

My Mac is missing the "plug ins" folder. I have been all through my Library, I found some plug ins but none of them are in a plug in folder.

So when there is a plugin with a installer. I agree to everything enter password. And then says move to trash or keep. Is ok that I press move to trash. It is just putting the installer in trash right?

Looks like Logic isn't installing plugins in that folder. And after I dragged and dropped it there (VST which was empty) Its not discovered. What should I do?

I'm currently having that same issue. I can't find th plug in in my VST folder or the plug in manager inside of Logic Pro

great video! What about the /Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins folder? What's the difference, and why is it that some of the plugins are found there? Cheers

That's where the AAX plugins (mostly used by ProTools) live. Some installers will install multiple versions of the same plugin - for instance, I've got kontakt7.aaxplugin in there, in addition to the VST3 version in the VST3 folder.

sorry but i hate MAC nothing is simple with it, ive installed like youve just done like you would do on windows but plug-ins Captian chords is not showing up in garagebnand on the mac
