  • How to build the ADVi3++ firmware yourself, make modification, and flash the LCD on Wanhao Duplicator i3 Plus 3D printers and clones/rebrands, after Andrivet has closed off his project for the most part behind a paywall.
    Here are my prebuilt files:
    Controller board firmware: github.com/Zna...

The most ridiculous part is he still claims its free, even though he shoved everything you need to know how to do it behind patreon.

Hello, thank you for good video. Now that there has been several new releases, could you please make more prebuilt files for newer version?

No - I'm perfectly happy with the way my printers perform, so not really planning on upgrading those, and my videos on this channel should provide you with the information you need to DIY it. While I don't agreed with the creators decision(since it was mostly based on open source stuff) to lock stuff away behind Patreon(although I think he has gone back on that a bit, and may offer the UI for free now, at least a newer version), I also don't think it's right to just rip him off completely and just offer my own version as a rebrand of his, or just circumvent his system and offer precompiled builds. This video was mostly meant as a "here is how to do it, do with that information as you may" - or if you really don't want to, then here is an old version that works.

Something is missing. I have formatted my SD card and copied the folder over to the SD and still nothing happens

What features are in this version? Is it buggy?

I haven't had any issues, so seems perfectly stable - feature wise it adds the option of auto leveling sensors(I use BLTouch, others might be possible), and a lot of calibration options directly through the touchscreen(e-steps for extruder and all the axis, which you used to have to do via gcode commands. Also proper thermal runaway protection(not sure if Wanhao's firmware has that, never really tested it), and nicer graphs and interface for a few things.
I have an older video where I show it in use, and some of the features here: th-cam.com/video/XGI5hbGW4Ss/w-d-xo.html
