Ive been using this since christmas....Its great..I work remotely on it and hooked in with my work computer for remote access and also use dex constantly and at night i take advantage of the tv so im basically rocking it all day long its great
This is exactly the monitor im looking for. thanks for the review! Great content, you answered all the questions in my mind. I just started freelancing and i wanted a monitor that i could use as tv.
I got this almost 2 weeks ago, and the first few days were completely horrible, and it looked dark, cheap, and impossibly hard to use. Tech support couldn’t help me connect to Airplay 2 or even tell me what the right specs for a single USB C cable we’re. None of the 6 cables I had, including a Thunderbolt 3, didn’t work, and of the 4 100w 5A cables I bought, only 2 worked. And for no reason Airplay just started working after my 3rd factory reset. The hype is just that. Hype. They don’t tell you beforehand that on HDMI it can only do 30Hz, and that on wireless it’s only 1080p, and it doesn’t work properly as a KVM (maybe it isn’t meant to). But I bought into the hype, and coming from an Apple Thunderbolt Display, I guess my standards were a bit high. I was so angry for about a week. With managed expectations, it’s grown on me, and on a one cable connection and a monitor arm, it reduces desk clutter significantly. Print design and productivity don’t need a brilliant display anyway, and I realized the dimmer VA panel causes less eye strain. And in hindsight for PhP19,699 ($400) on promo in the Philippines, it’s possibly the cheapest Airplay 2 Type C 4K monitor. It’s not worth the $580 they retail here, but can easily be found for $360-400 if you look around. In its price range, and if you’re not a gamer, cinephile, or professional video editor, it’s ok, once you get it running.
Just figured out going to settings -> general -> external device manager and choosing an option called input signal plus can change the refresh rate to 60 Hz at 4k
My only feedback on the M7 is that the brightness is pretty poor and you may want to consider another monitor if used in a sunny room or bright office/studio.
It's weird you're not up to a million subs yet...but boy o boy your presentation skills r top notch... I'm an Architecture student and it inspires me a lot on how to present things... I love this monitor and I definitely think I'll be getting one for school work and freelance jobs at home. Keep it up 4.5/5
Ok.. The M8 just came out, and yeah affordable, still expensive at $730.. And for the M7, basically same, with the ability to get a versatile arm for mounting... This is a great deal
I'm wondering if you can get all the features of Word on the monitor itself without connecting a laptop, specifically typing formulae. I have the samsung tab s7+ plus so I wanted a device that would compliment it.
Using this for 3 months , works as my secondary monitor and my TV depending on if it’s work or play . The apple airplay though , sometimes requires a restart . I wish though it had the android App Store , would have been cool beans
Hi i am thinking to buy this monitor to you use this as a TV forever not for working purpose because my requirement is 32 inch Good TV so I did a lot research on 32 inch good TV but i found not a single 32inch variant has the feature like i wanted like 4k & good response, 60Hz etc then today i came across to this samsung monitor which can work as a tv so i have a request could your please let me know if i can use this as a TV forever for my family ?
These sponsored videos don’t tell you that if you want to connect the monitor to your mac you’ll need aUSBC3.1 Gen 1 or 2 cable. And it will limit the refresh to 30hz.
Can a webcam be connected directly to the monitor and used for zoom calls without the need for a computer? Because I think we need to install drivers for webcam right!!!!?
Erm mate, hope you're doing well. Haven't caught up with you since 2019. Just saw your video - the M7 43" is HDMI 2.0 (latest press release) so it ain't fully compatible with the PS5 for 4K@60fps, which required HDMI 2.1.

I'd be hesitant. It's a VA display according to their website so how could it be passing for doing color-grade work? The brightness is pathetic too. Maybe someone who's also used an LG IPS panel or iMac display could chime in.
Ihave an m7 and view angles arent that good, exspecially the vert. one. I had a lot of expectations from Smart Monitors. Unfortunately my piece was damaged and after 3 months Samsung to me to get money back since its not manufactured any more :S
I'm looking for how much power this uses in typical use? its rated for 150w but that includes 65w power delivery... charging on the USB ports and is likely a worst case scenario. My couple years old 43" samsung 4k tv pulls 55w in normal for example. anyone hooked this to a kill-o-watt? I'm off grid solar powered so watts matter.

HDMI can do only 30Hz? Then when is 60Hz utilized if you can't connect your PC to it with 60Hz?
Just figured out going to settings -> general -> external device manager and choosing an option called input signal plus can change the refresh rate to 60 Hz at 4k
so can it do 4k 60hz over usb c?
On a proper type C cable rated for 4K 60Hz, it works. I have a Baseus cable and unbranded cables. The unbranded ones are surprisingly more stable.
