I love my 200 S. I run mine back and forth from Chicago to New Orleans at least twice a year. Had it now 7yrs. Suggest anyone buying one get the extended warrenty. Replace suspension 4yrs ago. Car rides like a dream. Remember, pot holes are your enemy. Lol. Fun and fast to drive.
The vivid blue color on the 200 S is a nice color on this car. Had no idea it had that much HP. Makes me want to trade in my 16 cruze rs for one but I know Chrysler reliability is spotty.
No the hell it’s not. The Chevy cruise Cruze whatever is the most unreliable car in the compact class next to the ford focus. I have two Chrysler 200’s and have friends with them ain’t nothing wrong with the reliability. Never stranded.
@Nathaniel Rudolph not hating on the car by any means, chrysler spits out great looking cars. Also not saying my cruze is perfect. Turbo and manifold went out at less than 77k miles alongwith front wheel bearing. I won't recommend a cruze unless looking for cheap transportation. I know about unreliability, have owned 2 land rovers as 2nd vehicles. But if you been alive in the last 30 plus years like I have you know chrysler known for bad transmissions same with dodge. Why the 200 and dart prob lasted only 6 years in production and only sell minivans now? Not all cars are created equally. Glad yours are still going dude.
I got mine a few years back with 62k and has been a blast to drive. Mine is all black w tinted headlights, front wing emblem, windows and rear wings deleted- that's what really makes it look mean imo. I get looks and stares almost daily and ppl are always asking me what it is and complementing the car. I had a couple kids a few different times follow me for miles on my ass and I would Dubble stomp the pedal to delete the from my rear view only to have them catch up at a gas station and pull me over to ask what it is.."we kind thought it was a tesla" one kid said lol. That being said, I've had many, many, expensive repairs done to it. Trans started shifting super hard into 2 and then into 3 so had it replaced. Water pump went out, cooling fan needed reprogrammed, rear heater hose blew, radiator cracked like an egg, coil pack replaced, injector stuck open, passenger heat blows AC unless I have it on high, gear selector nob proxy was out of sink and took a specialist to come reprogram it because it thought it was in gear when I was in park and would not shift . I could not even turn car of unless I un hooked batt. At this moment it is parked at a gas station 10 miles away with another bad water pump and was on way to pick up another coil pack to stop the misfire on cylinder 2. So I have put another 62k on it at least but it's been expensive and very exhausting like this comment.
@@dannygorsline366your car sounds sick man. I looked up what a blacked out 200 looks like, it is pretty dope. Funny people think it's a tesla, I can get that though by the rear end. At least you are real about some of the issues you have had. But as long as you take care of it and keep up on the car it will last. I ended up getting rid of my blacked out 94 corvette lt1 with 6 spd manual, land rover and the cruze for a new toyota 4runner limited in blizzard pearl.
@dannygorsline366 next time it starts hard shifting do the transmission reset. There is a yourube video on this very issue. Chrystler used some crazy coding with the transmission to learn and adopt to the driver for whatever reason. The reset will usually fix this issue. Worth a shot if it happens again. I test drove the v6 version 2015 200s and loved the power but the transmission was shifting hard with slow driving weirdly when I drove it hard it never missed a beat. I told the dealer to do the reset and it fixed the issue. I bought a maxima instead which was also a fun driving experience. I may get a 200s v6 in the future tho
It's bigger size than class of Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla. It's higher class, so the same size of like a Honda Accord, Infiniti Q50, Toyota Avensis, etc.
I have a Pitch Black and Linen/Black interior 2016 Chrysler 200C AWD. My new stickered for almost $39,000 Panoramic sunroof and Alpine stereo. Really nice car detailing car as often as possible. I only have 50,000 miles. Very quick and fast car faster than my Chrysler 300M.
The ones that have the Uconnect Infotainment system sometimes have an LTE or 3G cell phone transmitter for a wifi hot spot or over the air updates, the system might need fixing. I would take it to Chrysler for something like that. It could just need a software update.
Words of advice. Avoid the Chrysler car brand. The outside may be nice looking, but the inside(engine, etc.) is total junk. They are also considered unsafe as per their safety grades.
@@slate31902015 had a recall, the transmission is a hit or miss and can either be putrid if you’re someone that hammers the gas to get up to speed. If you drive slow, like how a Corolla or Civic would drive, it lasts as long. Also the computer had a recall in 2015 lol, bad entry into their 2nd gen

Nice car, however, if you see oil spots on the ground, replace the oil cooler before it fails. It is made of plastic and can fail catastrophically.
