      all the trains you see in this video are only used in Sydney, only Sydney uses double decker trains. Other cities in Australia use different trains and they are not shown in this video, so this video is only showing trains in Sydney specifically, not the whole Australia.

    maybe get some of those faster ones when you're in that area next...

Since you and your fellow commenters can't possibly see all of the train videos I'd like to pass along the names of some vids that you may really love. 1) 4K Passenger Trains Galore, and 2) - 4K Freight Trains Galore (posted by: trainfart). These two vids have great Swiss scenery. 3) 4K Quadcopter Train Video of Rockville Bridge (posted by: Super Trains). Super Trains also has many more vids worth checking out. 4) Canada: Trains Through Black Canyon - British Columbia and, 5) Canada's Canyon's - Trains Through The Thompson River Canyon (posted by: SantaFe5811), along with his many other neat vids. The biggest countries have the slowest train; Canada, U.S., Russia, Australia, Brazil, with the exception of China. There is something wrong with that.

    • @sylviaelse5086
      @sylviaelse5086 7 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Our major cities in Australia are so far apart that unless there's a good reason, we fly. In the video, the so-called intercity trains are actually going to minor towns in the same state (NSW), and invariably take longer than driving. The XPTs go further, but take an absurdly long time, and are not much used - you might have noticed how short they are. Every now and then, the idea of building a true high-speed line down the east coast (Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne) is floated, but the economics never seem to stack up. Sydney to/from Melbourne is one of the densest air routes in the world, but at 900km apart, building a railway that people will use instead of flying is difficult.

      There is nothing wrong with slower trains. High speed trains increase suction and are dangerous when speeding through platforms. Their high speeds can suck a child standing on the platform, killing it. Try high speed trains in tunnels, feel the air being vacuumed or pushed out. Plus, in Australia temperatures reach up to 45C and at that heat the bogies bearings can heat quite high if they're rolled at high speeds fully loaded, resulting in early seizure and lack of grease from overheating, especially more if they're subjected to all that clanking (7:28) which further increases wear and tear from additional hammering to the bearings.

      Lol ur wrong, there is a Russian train called the sapsan and its fast AF. I understand ur point of Australia though, because qld rails fastest only goes 140 km/h, the same as the Netherlands COMMUTER trains. lol. Imagine that. Australian high speed is dutch commuter speed! XDDDDS

      Sydney Trains Vlogs our older HST 43s are still doing 125mph/200kph all day they're more than capable it's what they was designed for

      That is because they continued to maintain those trains. Here they can't be stuffed and the tracks are falling apart.

    • @turtleturtle9169
      @turtleturtle9169 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's cause they don't need to run an xpt as the broken hill train isn't popular as such

    Train speeds in Australia are somewhat depressing.
    The interurban Virgin Pendolino is capable of 233 kph, normally run at 200 kph and get you to London from 90 km out in 35 minutes after slowing to 160 kph for the tunnels. Even the Class 43 (equivalent to the XPT) normally runs at 200 kph on country lines.
    Please NSW Trainlink please go back to the two blues livery, that new orange livery is disgusting.

    • @sydneytrainsvlogs
      @sydneytrainsvlogs  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Neil Smith I agree. Our trains are quite slow compared to some other countries.

    • @tacitdionysus3220
      @tacitdionysus3220 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not so much that the trains are slow, but that the tracks are slow. Even the old XPTs can do 160 kph all day if the track were straighter. Sydney is surrounded by difficult terrain in all directions (Hawkesbury, Blue Mtns, Sth Highlands) and many of the tracks were really only designed for shipping farm produce in the steam era. There's little incentive to improve as the major centres are so far apart that air travel is easier.

      i HATE the orange livery, the yellow and blue was so much nicer to look at and actualy fit the train, unlike the orange where they have tried to make it look like all the others

    These types of near empty stations are in India too. But not this clean. People Chew Pan and spit all over the place, One more thing- There is hardly any people in ur country, but why then these Double Decker trains? Where its is really needed (cities like Bombay)its not implemented..Even a Mobile Charger is not getting charged when you insert into any sockets even in A/C coaches! So I had to get down at a station and charge

    • @pwhnckexstflajizdryvombqug9042
      @pwhnckexstflajizdryvombqug9042 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are double decker to provide more seats. I know Indian trains to become extremely full with more than half the passengers standing. If they got rid of most of the seats in these trains then it would almost triple the number of people they can carry. Only people like to sit.

    In Aussie Freight Trains There is no Guard's cabin. But my fiend is not believing. So I downloading this Video to show him. By the way, whats this station name?

    • @dyl46225
      @dyl46225 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Swamynathan Iyer, I can assure you that some of the trains do not have guards cabins. The guards will be in the other drivers seat at the end of the train (4cars), or in between the 2 connected trains (8cars). As each drivers cabin has a set of door controls, the drivers can access the controls as well if needed.

    • @TTTS107
      @TTTS107 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Six XPT Trains pass through Meadowbank everyday. Three in each direction. Route 33 runs early in the morning to Casino, Route 35 runs early in the afternoon to Grafton and route 31 runs mid-afternoon to Brisbane. The return trips are usually the opposite.
