To Celebrate 1 MILLION VIEWS on Trains at Speed 2021 - Here is DIESEL Trains at Speed 2024! With over 40 stations and 90 trains, I've put a lot of hard work making sure it covers a wide spectrum of trains and routes filmed between 2021 and 2024. Thanks for Watching and Supporting, You guys rock! 😃
There's only one thing better than seeing these diesels at speed...and that's driving them! I had the huge good fortune to drive HST's prior to my retirement and I never tired of the sound of a whistling Valenta engine under hard acceleration through the cutting north of St. Pancras and into Belsize tunnel.....
Very few things are better than seeing a HST with Valentas at full flight. The scream as they fly by is amazing! I only wish I could have seen it in person (I'm in Australia). Gives me tingles watching the videos though.
@@andrewduffin9216 the XPT used to be powered by the same Valenta engines, and today are powered by the successor powerplant, the VP185, which was also used on EMT / EMR's HSTs instead of replacing them with the more standard MTU powerplants other operators opted for.
I agree! I wish I could record 4K60 and I am looking into this long term especially since the standard on TH-cam is changing. 4K became the standard about 2 years ago and I believe a similar thing will happen soon for 60fps. Thank you for your criticism, I am always happy to hear it. 😃

For Great Western and East Coast 800s, drivers have the ability to switch should there be an issue with the wires or train pantograph. In most of the cases, this is an issue with the train rather than the wires but the option is there to use either. For Prestonpans, all TPE 802 drivers are instructed to run using diesel due to the Power Supplies in this area not being stable enough to support any more electric trains.
They should be brave enough to pay for their electricity bills man. If they cant replace the transformer with one having higher Mega Volt Ampere figures and also not invest in proper traction substations then the overhead equipment alone cannot help trains ditch the oily habit.
