- I'm disappointed with the mediocre camera "improvements" this year from iPhone 11 Pro to iPhone 12 Pro. In my opinion it's not worth upgrading to the 12 Pro. However, the standard 12, Mini and Max might be different, we'll see. The differences in camera specs/features are so nominal, even the 11 Pro looks better in some shots.

Oh, and 5G is such a marketing term right now, just watch MKB's video if you don't believe me. It sucks battery life, spotty and rare coverage, don't fall for the gimmick - it's gonna take a while for sufficient rollout.
apple could've just updated iphone 11 with night mode, instead, they made the software update into a new phone, iphone 12 in new colors. even android budget phones have night mode. this is just a ripoff. wheres the so called "5 years software update" its not even been two years yet.
Also, many companies might start to charge extra for 5G once they get grip of enough people with 5G phones ..

Keep an eye out for the 12 Pro Max reviews. *If* there's going to be any big improvements this year, that's the model that it'll happen on.

Agreed, 12Pro is not a real Pro phone. It should have the same camera set as the 12 Pro Max

That’s my only problem with it. My phone has no scratches either, not even the screen. Hard for me to let it go 😄😅

I agree with you here. I learned years ago that you typically won't see any major changes between models unless you upgrade two to three years. if you upgrade each year, yeah, you'll be disappointed unless it's one of those years where they do a total refresh of the phone, which isn't often.

Seems like backlit scenarios really messes with the 12 pros focusing. I've seen other TH-camrs post videos where the iPhone 12 pro completely misses focus when the sun is off to the side or directly behind. Might have something to do with bright lights overpowering the lidars infrared system

Agreed. I had slight confusion between these two on the camera department but thru ur video comparison, got to know might be slightly not that much what I expected. I feel like 12 pro is rendering warmer pictures overall...you're right about the orange skin, the white balance is off. All the pictures on the 12 pro look 'darker' and muted in the same lighting situations..why is that?

Thank you for this honest review. Because, I have been watching some reviews from 6:00pm to 2:00am now. I know that Iphone 11pro camera is nicer than 12 with just a few upgrades but not worth for more extra money to spend.

This is what I expect from a reviewer. To the points, very precise like comparing audio and helps in making decisions. Thanks for your effort. Lidar would have made sense if it gave portrait mode for videos, which apps like focos live is already doing in older phones. Those who upgrade for the design might feel okay, rest of the people will regret the upgrade if they were hoping for a jump in productivity or improvements.
I agree, I wish LiDAR had some cooler features/improvements to the camera, but it seems lackluster

Great video! As a person that upgrades every year, after looking at the many reviews on this phone, I was disappointed with the new iPhones this year. I have the 11 pro but I’ll keep mine until the 13 models come out. I don’t care about the 5g and I’m not really liking the fact that the battery life sucks. This video just confirmed what I was thinking about upgrading.

I use all 3 lenses on my 11 pro equally. Most people seem to not care about the zoom lens but I use it pretty often and love all 3 lenses!

Thanks for the video. Would love to see an 11 Pro Max vs 12 Pro Max comparison. Because again, from most other reviews out so far comparing them both, the reality is that they seem produce almost the exact same image quality as well. Apple's bore and laziness is simply astonishing..

Fair review but I think the new design with the square edges does factor in. I was never a fan of the rounded edges...so when they switched back to square that’s what sold me to switch. I do have a question...is wise to update my 11 pro to 14.2...My 12 pro will be here Friday and it will most likely have 14.1 on it. Just wondering if that wood cause backup issues when restoring from a backup. Thanks 😊

Couldn't agree more. Great video. Upgrade my 8+ to the 11 Pro Max, from swappa, no regrets (except I miss touch ID because Face ID doesn't always work for me). iOS 14 was more exciting than the iPhone 12. A smaller battery on the 12 which means shorter battery life.

Battery technology over 5g technology for me.

I was really looking forward to the iPhone 12 Pro but no 120Hz displays, even less battery, this 5G joke for EU users and less equipment... nope
iPhone 13 will probably be more expensive and might have even worse battery life. First, if 7h SoT isn't enough for you, you have other issues. Second, I hate that they did not include a charger but about mmWave I really don't care. Besides speedtests, there are no applications for it and even in the US coverage is horrible. They could lower the price outside the US like google did with the pixel 5.
