When you turn off the 5g on the 12, will it have to be turned off again if I power off the phone?

@@truthseeker6804 ah... the classic dumb comparison of "with this amount of money you can buy.....instead". Of course that a real camera is always better, even if we are talking about the Note 20 Ultra. The idea is to not have to carry a 500g bulky DSLR camera with you ALL the time. Each setup (smartphone vs cheap smarphone+cam) has it pros and cons.
@@truthseeker6804 well you basically repeated what you said before without any additional argument. The idea of this phones is not to BE an actual DSLR, but to have a good camera ALL the time in YOUR POCKET, and be useful for the majority of population, if you are a photographer pro/amateur/hobby then of course doesnt matter we are talking about any phone brand, you will get a DSLR, there's no replacement.
And about the 11Pro/Note image quality opinion, well...it's your opinion.
X's still holds up 2 years later, I'm sticking with mine for a few more years.

Thank you. I actually shot 3x the photos and 10x the video but didn’t want it to be too long so threw away a bunch if the results were the same as others. Yea the XS does sound better than the newer ones.. It seemed like it does less audio de noising which makes it sound better unless there’s lots of background noise.

Really? Watching on my computer with Klipsch THX speakers at the highest quality (TH-cam 1080p60) setting, I thought the newer phones sounded better.

I have had the XS Max since early 2019. This phone still has so much life in it. I could see myself holding on to it for another two years after seeing this comparison.
Me too, it’s so fast after almost 2 years, great battery life, the only feature that I miss is the night mode that is just software, I hope they bring it to the xs but this would never happen :(

I swapped my xs max for the 12 pro...I’m really enjoying how portable and good it feels in the hand compared to the xs Max and the screen is smaller but due to smaller bezels it’s still plenty big for video and photo consumption (i have smaller hands so the trade off is well worth it.) My Face ID was busted, speakers blown, and back glass cracked on the xs max if it wasn’t for those things I agree the xs max still felt very advanced even after 2 years
@@weekend3804 I feel you! I was looking at 12 Pro Max upgrade options but decided that it just isn't worth upgrading at the moment. I thought to myself, "how many pictures do I really take in a day with my iPhone?" The daylight pictures are sufficient for me. The overall experience with my XS max has been amazing especially since iOS 14. We will see next year though.

@@wayneenright87 I think the iPhone 12 Pro takes like 3 diff exposure at once and combine them... it's like how you make HDR. That's the only thing that I could think of on how they get that much light in it. If not ... like you said... like DSLR, you need to be in bulb mode for few seconds

That's not what I'm seeing. The 11 and 12 render way more fine detail than the XS in daytime shots. You can see that in all of the face shots and the cityscape shots with the details in the buildings.

Thats the reason why there is no more iphone 11 pro on the apple website. If people would compare these 2 on there website they would notice that they are very close and nobody would buy the expensiver new ones

9:15 I dont know why you placed and purposely darkened the XS image in premiere. The white highlights that shouldve been clipped are gray. This is not how this camera behaves at night.
At least the highlights should be the same brightness. Its so obvious that the image on the right was darkened manually to overdramatize the difference
i agree, a few of those night shots from the XS are definitely edited. I have a XS, it is no where near that bad at night shots. it looks obviously edited as well.

The low light improvements are incredible. I've had an Xs for the past years and the low light performance was a real issue for me. Upgrading now finally.

actually minimal difference with 11 series , I usually don’t use the ultra wide camera at night , for selfie I think with Retina Flash at night it will do great job , so am keeping 11 :)

@Films worlds Actually I don't have any problem with it, I mean no any major update between the 3 phones, imagine when apple release and full screen phone without any notches, it will be amazing, I love my iPhone xs and I see that no any reason to upgrade at least this year, because next year they will add more features to the camera until it be beyond perfect, then I will give them all my money 😁, every year a small update to the camera, remember that iphone xs have all new camera sensor, that’s why it’s more bigger than X , i am waiting also to see the 12 pro max in November

For the night shots on the XS I use hydra app. It cost just a few dollars and it’s totally worth it. One time purchase and you get your night mode on XS

The Lidar sensor really helps in focusing when its dark.. Also it helps so much at portrait shots.. I guess ill be going 12 pro then..

I'm always 50-50 with night shots no matter how beautiful they might look. Because I want my night photos to capture the beauty of the night sky or the aura of the night in general if you know what I mean. I don't want my night shots to look like it's already sunrise lol
This video is super helpful!! The only feedback is that it would be better is uploaded in 4K because at 1080p I feel like you are seeing more details than we are able to see. But, again, this video is extremely helpful nonetheless!

a few days ago i was on a beach at midnight with full cloud and an impending heavy storm. my 11pro hand held shot pictures with a lot of noise but somehow with no light captured the white curl of the waves, sand colour and cloud.
i am very curious to see the 12pro in close to zero light, or my favourite when showing others - shooting a shot under the couch.
for near pitch black, the 12 pros wider aperture will be a lot better over 11 pros. but if you're looking for much better low light photography, the max's much larger sensor will improve it a lot more.
Will apple give ultra wide night mode update to iphone 11 series ??
The 12 Pro looks oversharpened at 1:30, compared to 11. There doesn't seem to actually be any extra detail.
Let me take a look. I didn’t notice much over sharpening when edited in my ProDisplay XDR like I do with many Samsung shots.
@@MaxTechOfficial I was mostly looking at the windows of that white building in the top right corner. Iphones 10 and 11 have softer and more natural lines there.
To me the other two actually seemed to have more detail due to the lack of distractions from extra sharpening look. I feel the 12 sometimes adds a little too much contrast or brightness, it’s a bit in your face at times

See, I'm already seeing this on my iPhone 11 Pro Max. The camera quality is SOOOOOO inconsistent as of iOS 14. It was not this bad in iOS 13 on my iPhone. There are literal times when the sharpening is turned up to all hell and it makes it feel like I'm using an Android camera. It literally feels like the quality of the photo drops by doing that.
I have the XS Max and really was wondering if I should upgrade or wait one more year. The thing is the iphone 13 will come with big gains on camera sensors and also the sweet 120hz maybe a smaller notch.. but damn the camera changes are big between xs and 12 although in the actual situation with travel restricted i don’t take many photos
