    Sounds beautiful Justin ! I just wanted to say thanks for all the hard work and great lessons you've done over the years, you'll go down in history as one of the greatest guitar teachers of all time ! I started out watching your videos a few years ago and then I bought your beginner book and it helped me tremendously and then moved on to your intermediate book and have used your website more recently too (your overhaul of the site is impressive, well done) Subscribed to your music theory courses on the webpage too and loving it. Anytime anyone asks me how or where I learned to play guitar I instantly tell them about you and recommend your books (bought the beginner for my sister, uncle and a few friends for christmas over the years) Anyways keep up the great work , your a legend Justin. Cheers from Canada eh ! :) THANK YOU THANK YOU

    Really elementary for me as far as chords, but I'm very much a beginner at finger picking. So this was excellent for giving me something to practice with my right hand without worrying about the left. Thanks, Justin.

    Hi! Great tutorial, thank you. I understand English just a little and you speak very fast, so I don't understand a word :D But your way to explain, in some way, is clear even without words (I see the chords you use and the fingerstyle pattern and even listening you to play is useful. And I understandwhen you sing the names of the chords ). So, this video helps me a lot... even if I loose all the spoken part (I'm sad for this: I'd learn much more if I can understand it)

    So fingerstyle, you never play the G note on the high end for the G chord, or the F# for the D?

    • @TJStellmach
      @TJStellmach 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That pattern never plays the thinnest string on G and C, but the whole pattern moves down one string on D. So you don't play the 6th string G note in the G chord (you still get G notes from the 1st and 4th strings), but you do get the 6th string F# in the D chord.
      The pattern ends up being, I think, G, G, D, B notes on the G chord and D, D, A, F# notes on the D chord.

      @LouisGuitarable 3 ปีที่แล้ว
