    Something to also keep in mind is that our hearing is spectral. Beginning with the robust, fiery C as red. D is orange, happy, hungry (orange makes you hungry). E is Yellow, consciousness, the Light of Christ. F# is grass green, and very cool but also teetering and wobbly texture. Ab is cold blue (Stings famous stalker-song, "Every Breath You Take".) B is violet or purplish (Prince and the Revolution's "Purple Rain" is is Bb). B, a hot-pink or magenta merges or transitions back into a higher or lower C. It is also a very spiritual key because it is transition outside of the visible spectrum (the invisible infra-red, or ultra violet). Ray Parker Jr's "Ghostbusters" theme was written I the ghostly key of B natural.
    For those interested, more detailed explanations are on my own paige here on the uToob. Thanks to The Auto Journey for covering this very important subject of KEY!

    Also: Any Cubase users know if we have that freaking Fold trick in our Daw? Be pumped to just to do that and be able to see the notes at all times right in the DAW.

    This was brilliant! Explanation was too good. What about your bass lines in relation to your kick. Does your kick have to follow the root note of the bass line or chord in order to be correct? Does it always have to be the exact same key?

    I have a question.
    I started a song, which, is coincidentally in F# minor. Or at least it seems like it is. However, I find that the G note sounds good when played after the F#, so I'm playing out of key.
    Is this allowed? Or am I actually playing in a different scale? How do I know the "rules" for playing accidentals?

    • @TheAudioJourney
      @TheAudioJourney  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question! You know who uses a TON of accidentals? ABBA. Take a look at their sheet music and you'd be amazed how many of the notes they use are 'out of key'. If it works for you then go for it!

    • @user89076
      @user89076 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheAudioJourney Thanks for the reply 😃 That makes me feel a bit better about using notes out of key. I always thought ABBA had a unique sound, I'll check out their sheet music.

    Let's say were writing a bassline in the key of F# minor. Does the first note of the bassline have to be F# (root note) in order to stay in the key of F# minor? This has been my biggest question for too long.

    Does anyone know which software would be best fit for a begginer ableton live 9 intro or ableton live 9 standard?

    • @TheAudioJourney
      @TheAudioJourney  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Whatever you can afford essentially. Standard will give you a few more tools to work with but you can definitely make good music in Live 9 Intro for sure.
