    Cracks me up when people say music and movies don't influence people. How else did this guy become a "crip" if not by copying the yanks? At least this guy has the balls to admit it tho

    • @Playlistv2
      @Playlistv2 3 ปีที่แล้ว +23

      It’s a pretty well documented cycle the music follows the streets and the streets follow the music 🤷‍♂️

    • @RLeezyDeezy
      @RLeezyDeezy 3 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      The music you refer was actually created BY the "streets" of the "ghetto" and being poor and oppressed by government entities produced gangs to fight against corrupt government entities... So no you dont have watch movies and listen to music to be influenced into that "culture".. but yes there are more of the posers that try and act "oppressed" or just think its cool because its a form of rebellion.. those people usually dont last too long in that lifestyle.. but yes there is alot that are influenced thru movies/music just because that "entertainment" is almost like a documentary to themselves or an emotional representation of their unfortunate situations provided by the oppression and hardships of life itself... But its contagious to feel like you are a "survivor" because you are more tough and feel like you are more deserving than the general population.. if that makes sense? Basically its apparently cool for some to be perceived as tough and poor...

    • @RLeezyDeezy
      @RLeezyDeezy 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      And also yes it is correct that alot of the gangs today were influenced mostly by the 1980s-90s gangster movies.. for example scarface influenced alot of the ways cartels act and gangs act now.. but when the gangs were first originally created it is the exact opposite circumstances as in gangs were an amalgamation of the abuse inflicted on oppressed poor neighborhoods that were also abandoned from government protection and persecution...

      Violent gangs have been around in poor areas since the dawn of civilisation, if it wasn’t for the yankee music and movies they would have been called something else

    O.T crips were orginally a collective of guys ranging from 15-18 years old. Everybody in O.T during that time remember it as a madness (2005-2007). The amount of shootings and killings were crazy. Jesse in Moss Side, Halton in Gorse Hill and Giuseppe in Stretford (each of these were murdered teenagers) Our generation decided to make South Manchester 'Gunchester' once again, hindsight I think 99% would admit it was due to being young and easily influenced by music and films. Rate KPB for putting that truth out there, also mad to see someone from the ends being interviewed by Shaun as well. Respect to Attwood for this one

    I started watching this and with the greatest respect I thought, “this lad needs to grow up”. With all the talking of gangs I was thinking, here we go. Yet when he got passed the gangs and talked of prison and how he’s trying to make something of his life, I can see he’s a genuine bloke that HAS grown up and wants to make something of himself. I’ve literally seen a change in the 2.5 hours of this vid. I wish you all the best and I’m sure that with your new mindset you’ll prosper. Another great interview Shaun.

    Shaun, there's a book for you to read on this. It's called Gang Wars, by Peter Walsh. It explains the whole backstory... Late 80s - early 90s.

    Aside from the great video, that Marshal is a killer. 50Watts? I've got a Marshal studio 15watt tube combo. It's got two volume controls. You can put the volume on 10.... and then adjust how loud you want it with the other volume control. I don't know why Marshall doesn't do this with all their tube amps? Be blessed.
