It’s a difficult area to grow up. Spent some time in South Manchester. Remember as a kid in the eighties. My Dad would get home from work and tell me stories of the shootings in town. Have a good friend who’s was oldest male in his family. When his grandad died a few years ago. Because his Dad and Uncles are dead or locked up for life. My friend was mid twenties when he was first in this position.

I was livin in Walley Range & Salford of all places . Going The HAC & the kitchen etc , circa 1989/95, there was always the sound of gunfire especially at night . I got a gun stuck in my face whilst using a phone box by a old working men’s club that got burnt down . I knew most of the faces from Moss side & Salford even from The HAC & my mates modelling agency RESPECT . Mad times I remember the high profile shootings White Tony etc onwards .

I do t live in the UK anymore but I'm from there. I've been to prison I know multiple people who are involved in all sorts. This guy saying "every time a car went past we had to duck, growing up" I'm not saying that there isn't gangs or that there isn't shootings. But to try and compare it to America and try to make out that every car that went past you had to duck, would suggest that there was constant dribe buys, and I'm sorry but that just isn't true in the UK. I get it your from the UK and your a bad man, there is definitely murders and there are definitely guns in the UK but to try and compare it to Compton (which is where crops are most active in the world) is completely laughable. This guy is trying to glorify street life, and what's worse he is trying to glorify a life he never really lived. Very cringe. Im from Manchester born and raised on one of the worst estates in manchester for gang culture and the whole manchester bloods and crips thing was embarrassing 😂. I mean there was nothing blood or crip about them they simply decided to name themselves bloods and crips because of the rappers they listened to being bloods and crips 😂. And it was a very short lived episode i mean they were literally there one minute and then vanished and never spoken about or heard of again until now on these podcasts.
