I did some searching and found a news article about it, sounds like she may have had some mental problems. (That doesn't excuse her actions, though.) _"After she was arrested and charged, [Joanne] Newbold-Hickey told police George was dying and she had followed "correct procedure". She said it was the way George "preferred to go", the police document tendered in court said."_ She was found guilty of cat cruelty (she didn't bother to show up in court + her neighbors said she had gone missing), but I can't find anything about her punishment. I'm glad she was punished.

So glad that when Huey had to be put in a cage again to go to his new home they used a totally different type of cage that he could see out if all around. Hope it helped Huey feel at least a little less stressed while in the cage.

He did heal, and was adopted by Dr. Chris. This was filmed about 5 years ago, he was named George, and had a good life with Dr. Chris. He recently passed away from natural causes.🖤🇨🇦
He did the vet doctor Chris adopted him and changed his name to George. George proved he had the temperament of a old mom in the videos he would appear in after word but Chris loved him and when he died he was heartbroken.
My mother was heartless and cruel. When my dad died she had my 12 yr old little sister gather up all the barn yard kittens in a bag. Mom drove down to the ditch and had my little sister throw the bag of kittens in the water. Evil!!

If you don't want the cat any vet or animal shelter can get it a home with someone who loves him. Cruelty is never ok or necessary.

Prolonged inversion can have some adverse effects. He also mentioned around 4:25 that they were being careful of the cat's blood pressure.
