It's fine to not like how they act, but saying such disgusting things about them, after they've dedicated their entire lives to saving animals, is downright disgusting. I love it when a very competent doctor admits that they need to improvise. My cousin has been a vet for 27 years and admits that ability to improvise is part of the job. Poor bird!

Thought for Beaky... Get him mildly sedated and take him to a nail technician for an acrylic beak enhancement. It would be a nearly permanent solution when wrapped with fiberglass and fast set resin.
@@bigsky445 maybe? It is the same chemical but presented in different forms. The resin the vet is using is the same as acrylic but instead of being divided into powder+liquid, it's UV activated. In the end it's acrylate all the same.
i swear at the end beaky was showing off the job Dr Chris did for him in fixing his beak to the other birds, like "hey guys look, I'm fixed they really did it." lol
I think she would've been pregnant with her third child by this point, this was in late 2017 and I know she had her fourth child earlier this year/late 2019
Beaky was so happy to be home again. Great job twins and Dr. Chris as well as his dad for the original idea for a pelican beak and the board makers who helped with the fiberglass construction.

Hey Chris, for future reference you can scan another beak from the same species of coarse and then 3-D print another beak using high strength filament and then bond with cement or inlay surgical plate, you could even do both so you have a redundancy in place and for cosmetic reasons once repair is made cover plate so beak looks as if it's never been mucked with.
The Ladies that are doing this work for decades is Amazing, thank you Dr.Chris for helping Beaky and the Ladies that are devoting their lives to the birds.
I think that's what makes it so annoying to everyone. I can't stand echo on video calls and it hits that subconscious peeve. It's even more obvious with how slowly they have to speak for it to work.

It's not on purpose! I've seen other twins do this. It's done naturally. We can't understand it because it's not usual for us. When two people are extremely identical I could see how that would happen. They know what each other is thinking so they finish each other's sentences. I've seen other videos where twins talk about this. Yeah it's a little hard to get used to it first but they've been in Bondi videos before. What Chris figured out for Beaky is so wonderfully innovative!
Chris can fix anything.. He is truly the Vet extraordinaire. All of the Vets in Bondi Vet. Are superb. All are so helpful and knowledgeable in veterinary medicine..And Sandy his computer buff, is just delightfully sweet.
I am so in aww of things you do for pet's, my pet's are my life and my children since I wasn't able to have any, I was a Vet Tech for a long while and loved every second and minute of it, unfortunately I had to go out on Disability due to being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis

This is not about the twins. The bird lost most of his top beak and Dr. Chris found a way to help the bird so that it could be released back into the wild. That is what the discussion should be about because, I am positive this is the first time any of us have ever seen anything like what Dr. Chris did to help that bird. We need to stop critiquing people and accept them for who they are and the contribution they are making to society. None of us are perfect.

I just saw that here in the USA, they fitted a bald eagle with a missing section of top beak with a metal prosthetic fuse to the exciting section

Fundamentally you are right but the argument could be made that this is Social Media and part of the interaction in the comments section where people can give their commentary...Truth be told you are critiquing people for critiquing people....people associate showing one's "humanity" is a positive thing but the truth is human beings are complicated and have the capacity for great compassion as well as cruelty and selfishness. It would be a better world if we could accept the fact that none of us are perfect so we should try to forgive one another which include you and me to forgive people for making certain comments

Beaky was released after a month or so of recovery after his beak transplant.
I have never had a veterinarian take my pet outside to see how they move or make house visits. I wish vets in the US were more like these Aussie vets!
