My oldest kitty was already on daily insulin and special food for a diabetic animal and seemed to be doing fine. Then this morning he pooped and got it on himself, so I put him in the sink and gave him a warm bath and cleaned his fur. He has been the sweetest cat I ever knew but he was a major gentleman. When he first came, his name had been chunky but was very thin, and he couldn’t grow his fur out. So when he was diagnosed as a diabetic, his then owner took him to a shelter. I took him since I will accept old animals with non-contagious diseases. This morning, his behavior was never bad, but he was listless. After I bathed and dried him, he still didn’t want to ge in his outside basket and lay in the sun. I just felt something major was wrong, took him to my wonderful vet, and he was actively passing. He died in my arms. He was the politest cat Inever knew. I named him Sir Perceval of Longtail - Percy at home. He passed in my arms later that day. I will bury him in my little kitty cemetery with six other old cats, the oldest nearly 22 and the youngest 14, a year older than Percy. It is in the trees, and I put the remains of dead birds, mice, too, since they might all get along together. On foggy, dark nights, I think I see little bright lights out there.

I myself have a senior cat and he’s just the sweetest boy. He puts up with both mine and my 4 year old cat’s daily shenanigans. He’s started slowing down a bit at 14/15 but he’s still got plenty of life in him. I’m really glad to hear you give these seniors a happy last home 🥰
My sister had a cat that lived to 18 with diabetes, luckily she worked a few minutes from home and was able to go and give him shots when needed. I can't remember the cats name but I do remember the call I got from her. she was devastated.@@madisonhaney8989

Thankfully FIV positive cats can live long happy lives! We've got an FIV+ cat who was diagnosed a long time ago, he's 20 now!

Five very lucky little fluffies who received top-notch medical care and are alive and doing well.
To me, the most impressive one was #2, Small One's (awesome name) little nose. Chris is the improvisation master, and he didn't only save her life, he also freed her of what must have been excruciating pain.
I was in tears for little Coco! And all of the cats in this video! So excited to know all got a clean bill of health and could go home with their owners. Just heartbreaking 💔, but great results!! I just adore your show. I so look forward to more!!!
My home is incomplete without at least one black cat at all times. My current one us my fourth black cat, I have always had, and have currently as well, other kinds of cats too but a black one just completes the family for us, 🥰

FIV in cats is not a death sentent. I had a cat that lived over 17 years with it.
FIV is so deadly if you don't know what you are doing to care for the cat.
I like how the vets explain everything. Although I really think Dr. Chris is definitely a Jack of all trades. Like Macgyver.

It annoys me so bloody much when people say it's just a cat! Or even any animal that is part of a persons family!! All of my dogs and cats I have had the pleasure to have in my family let me and my family know how they loved each of us..differently sometimes the same. Yes they are cats and they are part of a family like dogs, hamsters, hedgehogs, whatever may be your family!
I had a kitten that i loved so much, but she was never checked by the vet by the people that gave her to us for feline aids... She didn't even survive a whole year yet before passing from feline aids, when it came time to put her down, it was too late to do anything for her at the time. She fought the vet weakly and passed away before they used a certain shot to help her pass from her pain even in her last moments she was a fighter till the end. She was a beautiful and so kind, she loved to talk and follow you in the bathroom, literally running in. I miss her so much.

The stigma around black cats breaks my heart. I have my own little Void (see pic) and she may not being the snuggliest or sweetest but she's so funny and smart and I can't imagine not having her.
Well, if every vet would be so creative to treat a cancerous cat nose with a cheap anti wart treatment and not with an extremely expensive radiation treatment I am pretty sure that many, many caring pet lovers would not being forced to give up their beloved pets to the RSPCA or other organisations due to the fact that they are unable to afford the extremely high vet bills nowadays. It seems that only rich people can afford to have a pet.

My boy had the exact same issue with the blade of grass behind the soft palate. Had filled his stomach with air trying to get it out. Farted for England getting rid of it all 🤣🤣🤣
That kitten is so cute. I have 2 dogos Ginger and Lulu. Lulu never leaves my side. I have a lot of medical stuff and she has been like glue since my son dropped her off here. Ginger love's everyone very territorial. Ginger is my little girl who thinks she Big I love her very much.
When Lulu came in to my life she wasn't being cared for right, table scraps no dog food. Over grown nails, and never been treated for fleas. Plus she had a really bad ear infection. Now she at a good weight, her ears were flushed and meds given so they are clear, plus she loves getting her nails done. I do some of it and the rest of the family does the other stuff. My dogs are so beautiful. I know that bond we have with our fur babies. It's having someone who is glad to see you if you been gone 5min or All day. You can have the worst day and they do not judge you. They are someone who will listen to all of your gripes they love ❤️ you no matter what. That's why they are loved by everyone. If you do not have a pet get one from a shelter near you. They will be greatfull and you will have a pal for life.

I have had a cat with fiv and he lived a long life.
My Thomas just passed at 22. I was so happy when I found him in my garden. I knew right away we were going to be best friends. The vet wanted me to put him down but I said no, that he needed me. Thomas was better than a human friend to me. He’d do things that kept my daughters friends laughing and the friends that didn’t like cats love him. We could have 20 people in the living room and he’d go from lap to lap and curl up for about 10 minutes then move on. Thank goodness I was able to be a part of his life. I’ll always love my Thomas D. Kat ❤ 🐈

It's because of TH-cam guidelines so no, they have to blur those things to even be able to post on here at all.
Different countries have different laws on whether blood and stuff is allowed to be shown in media, it’s likely that the censoring is part of the original editing and the way it was aired on TV. I am personally thankful for the censoring!
@@mildlymarvelous It's not. As someone who watched Bondi Vet on air, the censoring is not present in the original versions of the episodes. You can actually find some uncensored footage on this very channel, specifcally in the Messiest Cases compilation. It is a TH-cam guidelines thing, and honestly if it makes this show more accessible to people like you, then I can't complain.
I'm a bit blood-sensitive myself, but I've always been able to handle Bondi Vet and shows like it, likely due to the fact I watched it on air when I was younger.

I've never had a black cat that wasn't amazing, beautiful, and super lucky! All cats are. It's sad to see how much these vet's love for animals makes them suffer when one is sick. I feel that as a fellow animal lover.
I have a story. I own 3 cats, but one had a very bad accident. One day me and my dad were planning to fish by the lake we live close to. We left out our fishing poles in the kitchen to fish later. Then Zoe (our 3rd cat) went in the kitchen and… boom! Something fell in the direction of the kitchen, and I come to see Zoe and my parents in the kitchen. Zoe had one of the poles’ hooks in her lip. We quickly went to the animal hospital, my mom was keeping Zoe still as we went there. Zoe is now very well, and this was a few months after we got her and her littermate.
That Marley is a good-looking tuxedo cat.

I despise people who say "it's just an animal". i don't have as many "friends" as I had before because of that remark.
And the shade I get for stopping for turtles in the street .
I do the same, since I was a child, everyone brought cats in need to me. Love them. Love snakes and turtles and I help them also.
I stop for turtles, snakes, frogs, whatever. My last stop was for a kingsnake who was crossing the road on a hot day, and was clearly in heat distress. I picked him up and took him home, and put him in a spare enclosure I had (I raise ball pythons). Kept him for a week, gave him a feed, and released him on my property. I live well away from the road. These animals deserve to live. (Jan Griffiths).
When I was younger , after we had a huge rain storm, I saw a turtle at my parents house just walking along, by the time I got outside he was stuck in the fence, so I picked him up and carried him outside the fence then over the road because I was worried he would get hurt. He was in a hurry to get somewhere. Never saw him again.

She runs a cat rescue, finds a cat that cant walk properly and doesnt take her to the vet for weeks and instead 'thinks' its because of malnutrition and feeds her up... how much better and easier would it have been for the cat to have had her checked and thre ear infection found straight away!
She did what she thought was the best chose at the time. She gave it a few weeks. Be glad that she even took her to the vet. You’re mad at her for waiting a few weeks , but you should be mad at the owner for abandoning the cat😒 swear people pick and choose to be mad at the wrong thing
@@Channie_00 Doesn’t it go without saying that we all ARE mad at the owner who abandoned her, and all people who mistreat and abandon animals? I do sympathize with the rescue lady- vet bills are not cheap and a lot of rescues struggle to get by as is- but I think OP is justified in feeling sad that the cat didn’t get help sooner.
I’m surprised the narrator refers to Alison and Audrey as “the girls”. I realize the doctors are referred to by their first names with their patients’ owners but “the girls” is a bit TOO casual in my opinion. When there are two male doctors working together on an animal, I’ve never heard the narrator refer to them as “the boys”. I’m not worried too much about being PC (unless something is out & out offensive) but I do think being respectful should be a given. BTW, I love this program and watch every episode I can find.

In my experience, “boys and girls” refers to children while youngish adults can be referred to as “guys and girls”. I’m not personally too bothered by it.
Girls for veterinarians, adults with specialized and difficult education is insulting, very inappropriate.

“He hasn’t been able to drink milk or water”…. No wonder he is gagging! Stop giving cats cows milk!!! It makes them sick because they are not meant to drink it. A huge portion of humans can’t even drink it! If you are dead set on giving them milk then go and buy kitten milk replacement at your local store. But do not give them cows milk!!!

I had a beautiful Tuxedo named Sam. Loved my baby. I love Tabbys, Simease, Calicos, Tuxedos. All the cats I owned. Love black cats with. Green eyes
I don't know why I watch these types of videos cause all I did was cry my eyes out. I'm actually going to the shelter to adopt a 6 year old tuxedo cat & another cat that she gets along with. As soon as my covid goes away I'll will go check her out. Hopefully, she likes me. My main concern is that she has been living at the shelter for most of her life. Will she be happy coming home with me or is the community room at the shelter her home?

Molly could have easily been vaccinated for FELV. There are now meds for FIV, but it's a long battle. I hope Molly makes it!
Felv vaccines can have serious side effects so you shouldn't vaccinate unless it's really necessary (outdoor cats or in close contact with positive cats)

I really do feel for the owners being worried about their animals but I don't really understand why people wait so long. Like the kitten that was out of balance from a terrible ear infection could have been helped weeks earlier and avoided pain and suffering and the cat with a chunk of nose missing could have also benefited from being helped early on.
I know some people may not have the money or time, but you make time for things that you love. I think people need to consider how an animal feels since they can't tell you how bad they are hurting.
When our beloved pets are sick, we become very scared, and scared people don't act rational.
I would agree that they could have benefited from help sooner, but I have also been a scared helpless owner not knowing how to help my pet who are family to me. Rationality takes the back seat when emotions take over. And especially when it comes to cats; they will try to hide if they are sick, because; predator. So when symptoms finally show, it's already pretty bad.
My cat once got a really long piece of grass up his nose it was awful he kept having sneezing fits. We were about to take him to the vet when he sneezed part of it out and so we pulled the rest out if his poor little nosey.

I’m a little angry she waited until the nose was basically gone until she got help also it’s really odd she thought a virus could do this I would have got help when it started to get sore . I understand she does care and is upset but don’t wait till it’s that bad to get help.

Not knocking you Scott and Emma, but when you had spuddy boy in, and removed that long piece of grass from the back of his throat., Nurse Emma had already commented on his long “ talon like claws” couldn’t you have just given the, a quick clip? I’m sure his owners would have been grateful, as cats like that are difficult to control when your trying to trim claws without making them bleed?

Everyone should get their cats tested for FIV. I don't let any of my cats outside because it's so common here. How horrible.. that poor baby.

I always give my cat's milk like 2 years ago I had we would always give them milk and it wasn't counting milk it was left over baby formula and today they're still okay even when we had gave them that milk they were still okay so they can have any milk but I think they have to be a little bit but not too too young and yes they can have cow milk for a baby you just have to heat it up and they'll be okay when my baby cat was crying and I had him I would want him milk regular milk and he'll be okay

Can someone that runs the Channel if possible ask chris or one of the vets whats the best dog bedding for outside dogs in the winter, i tried googling it alot of people say wood chips and alot of people dont, also alot of people say hay or straw and alot of people dont so idk what to get, i can't use actual dog beds cause my dog will destory it and stred it
Don't leave your dog outside during the winter - would you leave your kid outside during the winter also and only care about the outside bed? Terrible!
Unless they’re guard dogs that have to stay with the herd or flock or whatever, take them inside

@@April-Marie_ There's something called alarms and surveillance cameras. Even guard-dogs shouldn't be outside 24/7 especially when it's cold. If it's about protecting cattle, even the cattle are taken inside during the night. If it's protecting sheep, the dogs aren't used for guarding but for rounding them up for different things. There is not reason for leaving a dog outside all hours of the day and 365 days a year.

The owner of small one should not have animals at all. I can't believe the nose has been getting gradually worse for FOUR WEEKS and she has waited on going to the vet until almost the entire nose has gone. I am so extremely upset right now. How could she wait until it went that far until she took this poor little thing to the vet? Horrible!
The nose was not getting gradually worse for four weeks- that was when the owner assumed the problem started. She clearly stated that it only rapidly got this bad over the last four days. It looks like she tried to get to the vet as soon as possible, considering she had to fly in!
