Scarlet Nexus probably won’t become a big game series due to being so underrated, but at least it will be known for its great music. The Suoh City theme is another great track that’s worth checking out, very chill.

imho the game is just bland. The idea was nice at the start but you get to do the same gameplay from start to end. I love JRPG but this one.. I kinda rushed to the end skipping enemies because I was BORED of the fights tbh.
@@Kimcirac Pretty much this, the characters also fell a bit flat imo. I did love the overall concept, character designs, and the soundtrack though. I look forward to seeing how the follow this up in the future!
I honestly loved this game. I actually had the fears of it being pretty generic from just looking at it, once I actually got my hands on it I really loved it. Definitely disagree with the idea that the characters and combat was boring or began to stale. On the contrary I was actually impressed it kept my attention all the way through and the story kept me hooked
I kinda cheated a little bit with this one, so this is 1 song, 2 versions. Had to scour the internet to find a noble soul who remixed both of versions like so. Glad you liked it, this basically showcases 2 out of my 5 fav types of music.
Was the second version the battle theme? Cause I absolutely love it when games have a map theme and a battle version of the map theme. So glad I bought the deluxe version of the game that comes with the soundtrack!

@@Sekainoowaride Thanks, but we gotta give the real praise to the composers of Scarlet Nexus for making banger after banger. The OST deserves way more attention for its originality and blending of so many different genres of music.
Scarlet Nexus is such an underrated game. Reminds me of the golden age of anime games in the PS2 era.
Nah, it's rated about just where it should be. Great Gameplay, Amazing visuals, fucking fantastic music, boiler plate characters, nonsensical and insultingly bad story. If you're a JRPG and either your gameplay or story aren't a 10/10, you *will* be passed up, as this one has been. Don't get me wrong, I loved my time with the game, but it makes complete sense why it flew under the radar. It's because basically no one who played it went to their friends saying "dude you HAVE to play this game!" It's a "yeah if it goes on sale and you're really into JRPGs, I'd say it's a pretty good time" kind of game.

Scarlet Nexus has a GOD TIER OST. Another favourite of mine is "Suoh, a Sparkling Red Metropolitan". It sends me to a real good place. "Faded Bustles" is also a good one. Also "Togetsu BABE".
When I heard this song come up in the Scarlet Nexus demo before it was released, it was all that it took for me to pre-order it. This is a criminally underrated game. That saxophone riff at 9:58 is just out of this world.
I touched Scarlet Nexus for a moment, but it passed me by. That being said, this jam really surprised me. Gonna go check this OST out now!

I just bought Scarlett Nexus yesterday cause I heard good things from a friend and it looks fun. Plus the few tracks I've heard from the ost sound really cool so I'm looking forward to playing it.

Scarlet Nexus is a super fun and unique game I love the gameplay and the music helps bring it to another level for me
If you like the gameplay, I should note that it's fairly similar to Nier's combat style, which I love, which is great. It's different obviously since, well, the powers, but it's definitely fun.
It was this level's song that fully sold the game for me.

I adore this game so much! Kasane is maybe my favorite protagonist ever. I also have an older sister who is very, very dear to me and her story really just hit home in a lot of different ways.

This track gives some heavy noir vibes when we return to the sax later in the track. It honestly hops around a ton and is pretty amazing to listen to.

I swear it took me far too long to give Scarlet Nexus a try and I am LOVING every second of it. The game itself, the music, it's excellent.
This game was super niche, but god was it good at what it provided!
Also the sudden change into hard edm was basically how the gameplay works. The player gets into an enhanced state, but their ego becomes more twisted. At the peak of the boost you become straight up sadistic, enjoying the crushing of your enemies.The music reflects the twisting of your mind in that state.

I played Scarlet Nexus sometime last year on PC Game Pass. Dropped it maybe halfway through the first playthrough because I realized I just wasn't having fun with it anymore and, in order to get the full story, it seemed like I had to play two full playthroughs which I just wasn't willing to do at all. Combat is somewhat similar to Devil May Cry but with JRPG systems and skill trees. Scarlet Nexus does have an accompanying anime but it's apparently not very good. Though one interesting thing about the anime is that it hid codes in each episode that you could enter into the game and get rewarded with items but nowadays, you can just look up all the codes online.
Hearing this song again makes me wish I turned up the music while I played though.
honestly bro, you missed out, the story definitely gets better and you get to see two different perspectives of people who are essentially fighting for the same thing in the end. but yea while i do understand that this game isn’t exactly for everyone, i have to say that this game is so fucking fun to me, i have over 100hrs played on that game.
I also dropped it so I feel you. It gets repetitive and the story devolves into a convoluted mess. Despite my issues with it, I would love to see a sequel. I think it has a lot of potential and needs another shot. Not a bad game, but rough around the edges. But DAMN is the music AMAZING. Half my reason for buying it was this song playing in the demo and I'm not alone lol.
Best theme in the game imo. If only they dropped the anime angle and focused completely on the game. It's a gem, I hope it at least gets a sequel some day

I just assumed this was yet another vapid IP that SE and Bandai are notorious for, though this track is making me want to pull out the wallet. It reminds me of some of the groovier BGM used in the PlayOnline launcher.
