    Dear Alan! I want to take the chance to thank you with all my heart for each and every video you have offered in your channel. I have been listening daily for about a year now and more and more does my mind capitulate to this deeper truth I have been trying to understand for decades. Of course my first gratitude goes to Rupert for his relentless, patient and uncompromising clarity. However without these compilations I would not have had a chance to take in his wisdom in its variety and simplicity. Such a gift. Absolutely priceless. Thank you! 🙏🙏🙏

    Until I realised the witness was just the halfway stage, I could never reconcile this idea of a witness with non-duality because of the subject-object relationship. I thought it was completely contradictory.
    By the teachings of Rupert I learned that there isn't an 'I' that's aware of a 'thing'. There are no things so that must mean I is all there is. Even 'all' and 'is' aren't the right words, since they imply something else then all and is. Words really are the instruments for the subject-object experience

    • @egzonkrasniqi8773
      @egzonkrasniqi8773 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      can you explain this more? I do not get it. What do you mean there is no I that observes things....

    • @stevenl.5490
      @stevenl.5490 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@egzonkrasniqi8773 In the raw, direct experience of seeing, is there an I that sees a thing or things, or is there just the intimate "act" of seeing? Thought superimposes a subject and object, but no such "things" can be found in direct experience.

    • @TheParakeet1999
      @TheParakeet1999 ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly! Besides thoughts there isn't a real entity separate from the whole experience of the now. The seer and the seen aren't two but one in seeing. As Papaji would say "You are consciousness not someone who is conscious". Meaning, when you say "I see, I feel etc" the I means there is something or someone separate from seeing, feeling etc. The I is the only division that creates the apparent separation and the personality along with time come into apparent existence. Yet, all events were one single block of experience and there was never someone with free will or control to be able to decide apart from the event, from their environment. So, ultimately experiencing, seeing, feeling, hearing are all there is or knowing and there is no individual "me" there except for in imagination or thoughts.

    Dear Alan,
    Thank you so much for this compilation. I was going through the same line of reasoning and couldn't progress beyond a certain point. I couldn't speak of it to anyone other than to myself. And I would over and over again. And now I know which way to go. I am so grateful how all my questions are answered. Everyone of your compilations helps the mist clear. It is like being at a threshold of timeless discovery! Thank you God, Ever present Knowing Being for guiding me home to potential merger.... potential to the no two or even one...
    Just observe that no experience is coming from someplace in the future, remains in the present to be experienced and then leaves to go to a place in the past. Experience of everything continually rises and falls like waves of the ocean, the ocean being timeless Presence. It is all here and now, it is only Presence which appears as this and that.

      ... i would like to understand the context better of the sentence: „Only thought things...“ Because obviously thoughts do not and can not think. Thoughts are products of thinking, and since there is no independent thinker, but all thoughts do appears within consciouness (including the mind that produced them) is it not concsiousness/awareness that creates and gives realty through the medium of the mind to thinking, then thoughts, then experience „objects“ and reaches then out to them (its own ceation) by paying them attention?
      I would ❤️ to listen to the whole exchange... maybe it would clarify it a bit 🙃😂😇👍

      Ramana Maharishi constantly said that we mistakenly take credit for the movements of the body and mind, though they are scripted and performed only by the Self. He put a lot of emphasis on giving up the idea that “I am the doer” and instead see the performance of all action with that knowledge in mind.

      That’s such a wonderful story:) I think that’s one of the most profound realizations and understandings we can have in the spiritual path, that knowledge that our essence is truly not the body nor mind, nor action nor thought. They just are.
      It’s a very convincing illusion, but when we’ve pierced that veil, usually though taking the witnessing stance, and we continue and allow this to come more and more into our everyday lives, a freedom and a new dawn of wisdom envelopes us. And of course, this separate self we see is just a melding of our biologies, environment and conditioning. There’s an unlimited well of empathy that arises for ourselves and others, for this self we believed ourselves to be, and the self many believe themselves to be is nothing other than an orchestrated play of the world onto the individual.
      Giving up the ownership of the body and mind and letting the Self work through, ourselves becoming a vessel, especially for creative tasks like painting is like magic. It’s seamless:)

      It's only thought that says that. If we (awareness) are willing to rest as awareness we realise that everything is an equal appearance of awareness.
