    Great video. You want to do a newbie’s RV video. The basic items someone might want to consider purchasing. Wheel chocks, power cords, outdoor seating, sewage tools, basic toolbox. I think you are in the perfect situation to better educate first timers or the seasoned RV’r.

    Love you guys and love your channel. We're finally picking up our 1st motorhome on Saturday. I can't thank Will enough for taking the time to speak with me on the phone multiple times regarding our RV dilemma. We decided on the 26 M. I paid for an independent inspection and the dealership completed the needed repairs. Your kindness, knowledge and general concern was greatly appreciated. I wish you both great success with your channel and look forward to your next video.

    We found that instead of going out to eat in restaurants, if we want a quick meal, we go to grocery stores. We have found salad bars, sandwiches, soup bars, pizza, etc. we eat in our camper right in the parking lot and are able to put leftovers right in fridge!
    Also, when you travel with a smaller rig, you have a better chance to get last minute reservations.

    I do not own an RV, but totally get the "less is best" way of life. I have purged many items and feel much lighter. Less stress. Less to move when you move, etc.

    Great video. I am 3 weeks into fulltime RVing, solo female. I am at an RV Park for 6 weeks because of some medical appointments. I already had to change a trailer tire, and my tank sensor lights haven't worked, and my thermostat isn't working so no gas heat during the 16 degrees we had over the weekend. I will have to drive 3 hours to the dealership to get those things addressed. I have two black labs. Walking them 4 times a day including fetch at the nearby ball fields has increased my exercise level too. As I predicted, I really don't like the RV Park style of camping. The neighbors are close and often let their dogs off leash. A small Chihuahua mix charged my dogs yesterday morning, and the owner of the little dog was nearby and rushed over to get her screaming little dog. So that raised my blood pressure pretty high, holding back two labs isn't easy, and nobody was hurt. I would say to everyone please leash your dogs. I am overall very happy and encouraged at this beginning stage. Can't wait to start boondocking next month. :) Thank you, Will and Jen! Safe travels!!!

    My wife and I spent the last summer in our 5th wheel . Worked for a commercial farm and had our house finished. We had just bought our camper as an investment for retirement and lost my job. Instead of panicking we embraced the situation and put everything in storage and went camping. Stayed at locale campgrounds while looking for a house to buy. Found a house to move into but stayed in camper till haloween. Got snowed on and seen below normal Temps and but still hated to move into our new home. Can't wait to retire and go full time again. Enjoy

    The exhaustion is real! We have found that slowing down is so important. The exhaustion of trying to plan for a different route, where to stay, what to do, etc. takes a lot of time. Especially for those of us working while traveling. And Jen, totally agree! Driving is way more exhausting than you would think.

It was really nice meeting and chatting with you at the Tampa show! We would love for you to do s walk through your rig now that you've experienced living in it. Also, you mentioned you had an e-bike. Where is it stowed in travel?
    Good to watch your video today!

    Good info for the first timer there. Since I am an overplanner with hotel stops, planning for the RV park would be a no brainer for me. While I would, assuming I have the money, would be a Motorhome person, the information for a towable is applicable. I would think for the first night, stay near the dealership but still put some miles on it. Then if you need something addressed ASAP, drive back.
    The food and bathroom is a huge plus. Not only with family members having dietary restrictions, there is something about avoiding public restrooms if you can. I like the idea of hitting a rest area/truck stop and having a food/potty break and not have to leave the rig.

    Hey WIl and Jen, nice to see you on TH-cam. Missy and I have been RVing full-time since April. I can tell you this...it is a roller coast ride of emotions. Things breaking, tight spots, crappy campgrounds...We enjoy it but the emotional roller coaster can stop at any time...don't believe all the videos show fun and exciting moments. They do happen, but man...the frustrations can kill you :-) I agree, slow down and don't move that fast. We are now staying for a month at a time now. ... Welcome to the full-time world. Stuart and Missy at 3 Dogs And An RV.

    That was a great video! We had a travel trailer for 11 years and there was always some little issue coming up. Finally had a bigger issue and ended up buying a new 5th at Christmas. Haven't camped in it yet but found some of those small kinks on our way home. You mentioned you were going to install a tire pressure system. We were thinking about doing the same thing. Which one are you going with?

    The mental exhaustion is why I haven't gotten an RV, yet. I'm 65 and my husband is 72 (experiencing some memory issues/doesn't drive). I love to drive and camped many times, years ago, with my parents in their motorhome and in our VW in the 80's. I loved it for all the reasons you two mentioned. I'm still thinking a Class B with twin beds and a rear bath is for us or a small C. You're so right about a house! Way too much responsibility for me, now. LOL

    • @lifeisshort-makeitsweet869
      @lifeisshort-makeitsweet869 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am 67 and have a class b. I love how easy it is to drive, fuel costs less than the class c I had, better mpg. So many benefits. I am not as drained driving the van compared to the C. Can maneuver it so much easier. I still keep my home base, but spend more months in the van than the house. Love it.

    • @pattijohnson8197
      @pattijohnson8197 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Life Is Short-Make It Sweet good to know! We had a VW camper years ago and a conversion van so a Class B is probably our best route.

    13:40 Healthy food is a great topic. Like Wil, I am 6' 3" but at his age, I was nearly 6' 5" (I am 62 years old). At my peak, I hit 370 pounds - YIKES! After losing 130 pounds with twenty pounds to go (my goal is 100kg). Diets do not work, a change in lifestyle works. You must change what you eat forever. Good audiobooks "How not to Die" and "How not to Diet". My daughter (y'alls age) has been a vegan for 10+ years and she finally convinced me to adopt a plant-based lifestyle. Plant-based differs from Vegan in that plant-based is not religious conversion, I occasionally eat animal protein, like shrimp stir fry, pizza with cheese, and an omelet (if I get the eggs from my neighbor - I have no issue since I know the chickens are well treated). I have long since left red meat behind, particularly beef (a major contributor to climate change). You can get to your ideal weight but changing what you eat is a requirement, more and more and more exercise, etc.
