I went on quite a tangent here TL;DR: I believe that is true. My experiences have basically been examples of that happening. I’ve never heard the guys say bad things or some just say it straight to my face. It’s mostly the girls that either say backhanded compliments or whisper behind my back. I’ve literally walked into a room and the girls were talking about me, then they proceeded to act all normal when they notice. And since I typically befriend girls, this has caused me some issues with connecting to others. Now my only close friends are a gay guy and this one girl (I wasn’t that close to her in the beginning, but she was shunned out by her other friends. Since I was the only one that stood by her, we became best friends.) This is not to say that all women are bad and men good. I’ve seen a few examples of terrible male friendships and wonderful female friendships in real life, but this is my general experience. We need to first accept that there are problems and address them so that we can fix them

This is why Black women and White women who lived in the South their whole entire lives sound like and their whole entire family has resided in those regions for generations. Of course she has a Southern accent that is the Old English dialect with a mixture of Scottish. Many Scottish Americans of those of Scottish descent have the same accent as her of their family has stayed in the region for generations after the first English colonial settlers arrived in New England and settled there.

I ditched most of my masculine hobbies after graduating high school because I thought they made me unnatractive. I loved playing basketball, AFL, hiking in the aussie outback (so many pretty views), gaming, etc. But I noticed guys saw me as a 'bro' or 'friend' because of this, andI thought I'd never be acknowledged as a woman. I kept hip-hop, because at my core I LOVE dancing and would never give it up, and I gave up gaming for mental health reasons. I picked up figure skating, and floristry, as well as invested more time into reading. And I do love my new hobbies, but there is still a very strong part of me that aches for running around and playing ball and going on 3+ hour gruelling hikes to see crazy views. I think I personally would be downright miserable if I sat petite all day every day at the window, wearing makeup and smiling for appearances. WOMEN. DO WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY, not what makes you appear pretty. You will shine to the right people, I promise

TL;DR: I believe that is true. My experiences have basically been examples of that happening.
I’ve never heard the guys say bad things or some just say it straight to my face. It’s mostly the girls that either say backhanded compliments or whisper behind my back. I’ve literally walked into a room and the girls were talking about me, then they proceeded to act all normal when they notice. And since I typically befriend girls, this has caused me some issues with connecting to others. Now my only close friends are a gay guy and this one girl (I wasn’t that close to her in the beginning, but she was shunned out by her other friends. Since I was the only one that stood by her, we became best friends.) This is not to say that all women are bad and men good. I’ve seen a few examples of terrible male friendships and wonderful female friendships in real life, but this is my general experience. We need to first accept that there are problems and address them so that we can fix them

I ditched most of my masculine hobbies after graduating high school because I thought they made me unnatractive. I loved playing basketball, AFL, hiking in the aussie outback (so many pretty views), gaming, etc. But I noticed guys saw me as a 'bro' or 'friend' because of this, andI thought I'd never be acknowledged as a woman. I kept hip-hop, because at my core I LOVE dancing and would never give it up, and I gave up gaming for mental health reasons. I picked up figure skating, and floristry, as well as invested more time into reading. And I do love my new hobbies, but there is still a very strong part of me that aches for running around and playing ball and going on 3+ hour gruelling hikes to see crazy views. I think I personally would be downright miserable if I sat petite all day every day at the window, wearing makeup and smiling for appearances.

I could be completely wrong about this, but maybe the guys you knew/know saw you as simply a friend because they didn't want to make a relationship awkward when they really valued it.
@C-709 thanks for this perspective, I never considered it like this! Unfortunately I still felt like I was unattractive and had 0 guys ask me out over a 6 year period. I feel like what you say is probably true for many of my guy friends, but I still felt like I would never find a guy who would like me

That is strong independent down to earth woman. That’s the women u should date. unlike the other one that doesn’t know what they are they them living a life in a fantasy mind can’t wake up. They have slept from reality and woke up and got stuck in a fantasy dream not realizing they in the real world. Either it’s brainwashed or hypnotized in order for them to get out of it. their mind has to be strong if not they are stuck forever.
She reminds me of my lil sister (friend I grew up with). We dragged her everywhere as kids. We camped every weekend and she was always right by our side (9 boys) fishing, hiking, catching frogs and turtles, biking, you name it! She's a bad ass woman now and one of the few ppl from childhood I still regularly talk to.
Trust me, the dude is a million times tougher. This is a southern woman.
