Zegras Necas Demidov
Demidov is the best player available. You always pick BPA this high in the draft. Levshunov is talented and will be a very good NHLer. He's seems like a great kid and his coach says he's been a hard worker and is very coachable. The Blackhawks are blessed to have the choice.

Everyone saying no wrong answer at #2-WRONG… this isn’t even close to true… levshunov is 1 of 6 D-men in approximately the same tier… he is like a B+|A- across 6 skill sets… he is high floor safe pick… Demidov is fkn singularity… I dream of the day 2 of the top 10 most skilled players in da NHL play on the same line for the next 15yrs… any other decision is an unforgivable decision… hear me Zeus, pls don’t let us screw dis up
In my perfect draft hawks take demidov at 2 and either move up from 18 and take best available hopefully RD but if not take another top forward and if they stay at 18 take Stian Solberg there unless he’s taken, I don’t mind levshunov but I prefer demidov
Same way I feel about Levshunov. I think he's going to be a solid NHLer, top-four guy, but if Demidov clicks he's going to be a stuuuuuuud
Demidov. I think Levshunov is overrated. I think if he was a LD he wouldn't even be in top 5 discussion. Suddenly he's the 2nd best player because he shoots right. I'm definitely no scout and he could pan out, but this reeks like a bust to me.

There is almost zero reporting of a Zegras trade by local, legit Anaheim/LA media. These are literally just rumors.
Yeah, but if the ducks are willing to trade, they have to get either a first round pick from one or two or three no less than that for a player who still has talent
I definitely think that Zegras will thrive with a change of scenery. I would love to have him on our second line. 5.75m is definitely nothing to worry about for the next two years.

Yeah I like the player despite his struggles last season, I just have a hard time seeing those two teams cooking up a deal. Kind of both in the same boat.
@@LockedOnBlackhawks yeah I’d agree with this, but a lot of fans in the comments see Zegras’s name and are instantly turned off despite the fact that he is very good at hockey. I hope Zegras gets out of LA and somewhere he can thrive. I also don’t think MTL is the right spot for him. Dallas might be kind of cool

Demidov report is interesting Jack. What I wonder is if the Blackhawks have already made their opinion and banked on Levshunov...As I have always thought it's best to wait and hold your opinion to the last possible minute,as better to stockpile information...
Definitely. From reports, it sounded like they loved their meeting with Levshunov and were leaning that way. This meeting with Demidov might have changed things though from what I'm hearing...
Really hoping KD picks Demdiov. One of the few players in the draft that has total game breaking talent. Him and bedard would be totally electric on offense and he’s average on defense already so he’s not a total 1 way player.

I'm not a scout, but if you believe Levshunov is a cornerstone D man, you have to take him. Everyone remembers the Hawks got good after getting Kane and Toews but forget Keith and Seabrook were already there.
and neither one was the number 2 pick. They already have a good core of D men in the system. If you have the chance to take a player that may be the best in this draft you take him.
@rayvolk9662 Edmonton used your strategy and was trash for a looooong time. It took 14 years to get to the cup. You can always sign a good fwd. Good D doesn't grow on trees(if they believe he is that)

Trade Seth Jones and just loss baby....for one more year...........they've come this far with the rebuild, let's really close it out with fully loaded young core (think 2025 draft) the cap space will still be there a year from now.

Who do you seriously think is going to trade for Jones with his contract? No competitive team can afford him and no tanking team wants the term on his contract. Stop talking about trading Jones. It just isn't happening. We will still be bad next year and have another top 5 pick even with him.
@@dinkey0909 You can trade Jones for a worse cap hit player. They are all over the place. Limit the contract hit to a 2 to 3 year contract and get back a little something in the way of young prospect(s) and/or draft picks for the bad contract upgrade. Jones' mailing it in and whining about the team he's on can't be good to the young player's development. You don't hear me talking about trading Foligno, a great influence/example for a young team.
