You say "two silly little girls doing stuff" and i hear "two incredibly talented women who are pushing the boundaries and helping prove MtG and cEDH are for everyone". Never sell yourself short. You're doing incredible work and putting out amazing content. Please continue to fight the good fight and making MtG a safe space for everyone!
As the cEDH format picks up more popularity, I love seeing videos like this that offer a great entry point for new players. Thanks so much for drawing attention to so many accessible resources!
One of my first games was with Play to Win too! They were incredibly fun and helpful! Can't wait to be a part of getting new players into this part of the game 💜
Just introduced to Commander about a year ago (played seriously from ‘ 93-‘95 (Beta-Ice Age 😳)). Still having trouble wrapping my head around some combos. Concerning “casual cEDH”, $100 budget cEDH decks are becoming popular at card shops in my area. Thanks for all the great content Lua and Tori, you two are great!!! (though we need to get Tori a Bills sweater 😉)
I remember ages ago before WOTC ever printed commander decks the big "competitive deck" was Scion of the Ur-Dragon Hermit druid. These days I play Baylen Stax!
Awesome video. I played in my first tournament this past Saturday. It was a 64 player tournament. My record after swiss rounds was 3-1-1. My draw was the last round because everyone in the pod had made top 16 already. I ended up losing the top 16 game, but had a lot of fun. It was a great experience and would recommend it to anyone interested in cEDH. The deck I played was Malcolm/Vial Smasher.
I agree and love every single thing you are saying on this video. Watch the first 7 minutes of this video over now knowing Topdeck is making a new ban list. RIP
7:50 My brother and I have been trying to get our playgroup into Cedh every so often. It seems to be a point of contention between us as they dont ever seem enthused if we bring it up. Between my brother and myself we have 6 Cedh decks so its not like they would have to worry about getting expensive cards or even proxying a bunch of cards can get expensive still. We dont pub stomp them with those decks but itd just be nice to play high power once in a while
I feel like RogSi definitely needs updated deck tech vids, especially post-MH3. It got so many new tools, and a lot of the primers and deck techs focus a ton on Ad Naus. I feel like especially post-MH3, newer RogSi players should also get a thorough introduction of how to use both Necro enchantments and the 4 wheel effects. There's also an increased number of decks trying Bola's Citadel, which is an important variant build to maybe discuss, too.
As someone who's thought about playing cEDH I found this episode very interesting. Still unsure on which ccEDH Commander Id be interested in, but will check out the sites recommended.
I've heard my Dihada primer is kind of good, but i have to improve it once again. Didnt knew about the godo primer, but if you especially mention it it has to be hot, guess i have a look
Not always playing Meta is fun I play my Kinnan regularly but newly brewed a Raffine with Tainted Pact ,Demonic Consul Lines ...is it Metaviable? No..but incredibly fun
I can never distinguish cedh and casual bc I run the same cards across every deck and I get called cedh all the time when most of my decks are just hatebears and stax
yall are great!
you’re great
You’re great!!
Play to win are the best! But Joker and scrybabies are super awesome too!!

YT algorithm just brought me to this video. I am learning how to improve my cEDH skills and I think this video will be worth it!

First rule of cedh: have a good printer.
Lmao 🤣
Personally, I like to buy high quality proxies, but that's just me. It's also way more expensive than printing cards on a sheet of paper.
Wait u telling me most cEDH be on a printer. Cuz I really wanna play but I can't even buy normal cards for EDH
@@kj61768 yes print a image of the card you want to play, put a bulk card in a sleeve and then cut and put the piece of printer paper in front of it.

Awesome discussion and format!
Perfect timing. I was just thinking about trying cEDH, I've been slowly getting together cards for Yuriko (Tempo not Turbo)
im making a deck based around "The Mindskinner" its not Cedh but its a good start im pulling all my good cards from my decks to make this deck
Just finally finished my first cEDH deck, Saffi Eriksdotter 😊
I play krarkashima as a group hug / slug deck, making everyone draw a ton and then drop Black Vise type effects. It's not the strongest xD
Comedian MTG is a sick name. Love the content!
Heck yess love this content Lua!!!!!!!

Kinnan
"The Master Transcendent" PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS DECK
I think Ian has a video on his channel!
I gotta agree with Lua on the number system, you can't have it without context.

My favorite thing playing shorikai is when someone tries to swords the robot😂

Oh hey, duskmourn precon in the background
Anyways, super cool video, learnt a lot! Thanks!
@24:22 wou :D
Duskmourn product in the back???
Is Ashcoat any good for CEDH?
Realistically, no, but there's nothing wrong with cooking!
Do you guys have a discord? I have no one to play my najeela against :(
Tori where were you hiding all episode?
GO EAGLES!!!
edh is low tier right? CEDH is competitive?
Please if you play krark... REPRESENT YOUR TRIGGERS!!
What cards should casual players stay away from?
I can never distinguish cedh and casual bc I run the same cards across every deck and I get called cedh all the time when most of my decks are just hatebears and stax

Tip #1, don't play Teferi, Time Raveler if you're not going for the win
Why TF does Ian look yassified?
