Unpopular opinion, I actually like almudron, he has a cool design, gimmick and I personally don’t find his fight that bad with rises mechanics. However he will need to change for a non-rise game in the future that lacks wire bugs. Like seriously imagine fighting him in world or generations.
As someone who use wirebugs mostly for silkbind arts i don't really have a problem with almudron, i'd say his attacks are not exactly hard/annoying to deal with as long as you're not being too aggressive, the main problem is he's so big it's hard to observe him if you're too close so keep your distance to better observe what he's doing and only come in when there's a clear chance
Personally I like magma almudron the idea of making lavisioth into an actually fun fight is great also almudron and magma almudron have the best looking armor
I absolutely despise monsters that constantly charge at you, such as Diablos and Tigrex. If you get hit once, by the time you are getting up you get git again by their massive hitboxes, get stunned and, surprise, dies.
I also hate them but for a different reason. I run longsword and having the monster always charge and end up 5 miles away, only for them to immediately do it again the moment I get close is endlessly frustrating
The ones that do that are also the ones that tend to run out of stamina really quickly and become much easier in the latter half though. It's definitely overwhelming at the beginning, especially if you're fighting it for the first time and don't know it's patterns, but if you just play defensively for a while then you'll get plenty of time to whale on them after
You do know there are spots you can get them stuck on, right? Like with the diablos, there are spots his horns get stuck in the wall, and for tigrex, his mouth will get stuck on making them easy targets.
Never knew this day would come but I'm gonna defend Lavasioth. In gen 5, it was supposed to be Agnaktor and Lagiacrus. However, since the Leviathan's skeleton had some issues so they were replaced by Lavasioth and Jyuratodus. With a completely different skeleton, everything they had planned for the Leviathan was quickly abandoned and replaced by halfhearted effort for the Piscine instead. For example, they literally slapped the Agnaktor's gimmick on Lavasioth and called it a day. Personally, it would be so much better for Lavasioth if it were planned to be added right from the start, not as a cheap alternative. Edit: *God to the people who replied to me, please learn how to read* I always know Lavasioth appeared first but it had never got the hardened lava armor until 5th gen arrived. The gimmick has always been exclusive to Agnaktor. My point is that slapping another monster's main charm onto another one solves nothing and in case of gen 5 Lavasioth it backfired.
I know Lagi was planned thanks to interviews and the beta footage, but I never heard of Agnaktor as well. They stated that they needed monsters to inhabit the Recess and since they had Radobaan and Jyuratodus already, they decided to include the Uragaan and Lavasioth. I doubt that it stole Agnaktor's role The magma hardening was a thing shown in its first concept art, long before it actually released in FU and Frontier, so you could say Agnaktor is the one who "stole" it, technically
@@atomicwreck2063lavaioth swims in lava and that was pretty much it, agnaktor has the gimmick of having its hz better if it heats up. Glacial agnaktor is basically reverse to its original counterpart.
@@jellyguy44 DB Mains sitting over at some corner crying their eyes out "i can't even get close to this thing" *gets knockbacked by that stupid wind like a fly*
Any flying monster (Rathian, Rathalos, etc). 90% of my attacks can't hit them at all while they're airborne, and they have the annoying tendency to fly to the other end of the map when fleeing.
@@wesjturnerturner2161and the annoying part is flash bombs dont affect it at first, must break wings first, i swear dk rath knows this so he keeps airborne 😅😅
Kushala daora. Especially in world. The second i get that large gold crown im never fighting that thing again! Dioblos. It keeps going underground, but not long enough to scroll to or even properly aim sonic bombs. Plus whenever its not constantly digging, its usually screaming nonstop. Similar issues with gobul, minus the screaming
Kush is only annoying in World, the rest of the game, I think it's the most fun to fight against in Rise, and it's a total pushover in previous gens especially if you play GS
pretty much every monster screams around like 10 times through the whole fight, diablos worst aspects are it's massive horn swing's hitboxes and low build up time to it's charge attack
My personal Top 5 most annoying monsters list: 1. World's Kushala Daora. In previous generations, flash bombs were Kushala's biggest weakness, but now that you could infinitely restock items in World, flash bombs were nerfed significantly, removing the only good counter against Kushala's constant flying. Also, the tornadoes it makes are super annoying. 2. Generations Ultimate's Alatreon GU's Alatreon didn't have an elemental DPS check, but it flies all the time, even more than Kushala, which is very annoying for a blademaster. And as a gunner, you'd be lucky if you don't get oneshot, because Alatreon hits like a truck. And when it does the ice rain attack, there's nothing you can do but wait for it to come back down, as even gunners can't hit Alatreon when it's that high up. Also, Alatreon has very high health and there are no different phases in the boss fight like Iceborne, so it becomes boring to fight it. 3. Generations Ultimate's Crystalbeard Uragaan Crystalbeard has no hitzone that activates Weakness Exploit unless you break it's chin, which only blunt weapons can do, and even then, it's only for cutting damage. That makes the fight take very long to finish, as you are doing little to no damage to Crystalbeard. Crystalbeard's attacks also generate lots of tremors, forcing you to sheathe your weapon every time you get affected by those tremors. The most annoying part are the explosive rocks it throws everywhere as it rolls and swings it's tail. They have a massive area of effect and detonate when Crystalbeard smashes it's chin on the ground, and the shiny rocks also explode into a cloud of sleep gas. A large part of the annoyance can be mitigated with Negate Tremors and Repeat Offender instead of Weakness Exploit, so it isn't first on the list. 4. World's Lunastra Lunastra generates heat waves that do tick damage to you while you are flinching from the wind pressure. The patches of blue fire on the ground damage you without knocking you back, and they knock you back whenever Lunastra's attacks connect with them, making it seem like you've been hit out of nowhere, as you rarely take notice of the blue fire. It's supernova can kill you even if you superman dive, as you will keep flinching from the wind pressure whilst taking massive tick damage. Windproof helps with this fight significantly. 5. Generations Ultimate's Dreadking Rathalos Dreadking is immune to flash bombs unless you break one of it's wings, and it barely ever comes to the ground. It's delayed explosive fire-rock things limit your freedom of movement around the area aswell. It's imperative that you bring pitfall traps and shock traps so that whenever Dreadking lands, you trap it and focus on breaking it's wings. It becomes much easier to fight once you break one of it's wings.
I would like an honorable mention for that one event quest silver rathalos back in mhgen, it had like 11k hp in a high rank only game, and basically everything one shot
@@LordViettner I’m hoping for a water themed G Rank addition to wilds. Desert Base Game and Ocean Expansion would go hard. Maybe piscine wyverns could get some love that way
I love raging brachi, but yeah, it can be a pain of a fight if you´re on a pretty small area. What I´m kinda surprised is that you didn´t add Plesioth since in the earlier games it was a pain when it decided to jump into the water every few minutes (but it makes sense since it would be the third fish in the video).
I was lucky in my generations game that I got a talisman I could add to my "anti-plesioth" loadout. from memory it was a mix of good amounts of Status Atk up and Thunder Atk up. Was using that with either Khezu Dual Blades or Astalos HBG and when hunting in teams I had plesioth paralyzed a lot and then taking heavy amounts of thunder damage. It was getting absolutely melted (and my teammates could actually hit it XD).
And don't forget its hip checks with the unbelievably bustedly large hitboxes. If a Plesioth's about to hip check, you better be on the complete opposite end of the area, or you'll get knocked into next Tuesday. Doesn't matter if you're on the other side of the Plesioth with a healthy amount of breathing room between you two, you're gonna get hit.
Mang you onky need like 3 max ! Tighten your dodges and spend points elsewhere :) i like to put a mix in window and distance! Works real nice on sidesteppers like lances and swaxe
Raging Brachy is so cool, and I have to admit, when I saw him pop up I was scratching my head. That is, until I saw that you were fighting him with a hammer. In World, I too was a hammer main. Fights like raging brachy and tigrex made me pick up the lance for its counter and guard capabilities. Also, the high pokes reach his otherwise way-too-high head. With hammer, you have to go to the ledges in every area and spam jumping attack.
Cephadrome is a pos in 1/2 gen. In 4th gen he's actually alright. Alumodron is my least fav monster in Rise for sure. But I hates him more for his weightless animation. Some of the moves just looks straight up anti gravitational.
I swear rathalos in mhr makes me so angry, this man will NOT sit still for a minute and then it keeps roaring and charging at me after i used like 7 potions
For me it is Banbaro, esp. when you don't know how his hitboxes are. You see something get flung next to you and the moment after you are at 1/4 health ( very annoying when sharpening, esp. for DB mains)
You like Lagiacrus too? I got into Monster Hunter through Tri, and it was Lagiacrus on the box art that caught my eye. If it wasn't there I never would have gotten the game. No Qurupeco, though?
I started with MHFU and i must say being a novice going against a Plesioth was a nightmare. At least i wasn't the only one suffering , you just had to say "Plesioth hipcheck" online and everyone would come out of the woodworks to share their frustration. It still lives in MHS as an attack that hits the whole party called "Hyperspace Tackle".
Hyperspace Tackle's hit box is so large that it even hits the person playing the game, knocking them out of their chair, which is why there was a 10 second delay in that one video
Spot on with the piscines. I really never liked any of the piscine, though I have fond memories of me and my cousin taking turns with a PSP to chase around a swimming cephadrome because we didn't bring enough sonic bonbs
Khezu suggesters have never suffered the pain of a chameleos somehow stealing all of your healing items Or a molten tigrex never giving a moment of peace
I remember back in 4U when I was solo 100%ing the game with SnS. Back when multiplayer quests were entirely different than single player quests, and were all scaled for four players. Man, that Molten Tigrex fight. That was a wall for a little bit. Never gives you a chance to breathe, and with SnS you need to get close enough to pet the angry lizard. Kushala Daora back then also gave me a fair amount of trouble. Again, with SnS you need to get really close, so that stupid wind that surrounds it makes the fight a nightmare.
World Kushala and Rise Teostra are my least favorites I'd add to this list. Kushala spends most of its time in the air and spams eternal tornadoes like crazy. I once got locked between a wall and a tornado that bounced me around until I died. And Rise Teotsra is just as bad. Constantly covered in fire is one thing but it spams its explosions like they're going out if style. Coupled with the fact that it's entire body is a hitbox and just turning around and running can send you flying makes fighting it up close and personal such a drag. Absolutely hate fighting those two iterations
my guy. No qurupeco calling in deviljho every 30 seconds? No shrieking legiana that catches you in a 4 roar loop with its regular counterpart? NO BULLFANGO!?
All the problems you mention with the cephadrome I feel with Black Diablos. They’re so much time where they can’t be hit and even when it’s in recovery it’s usually after a charge or jump that put them on the other side of the arena so you can’t punish it.
Cephadrome is also annoying because he has a jumping attack that paralyzes you. It can be very unpredictable and it you are hit he will combo into his emerge which deals lots of damage and he can even continue comboing you with paralysis after you get up. Lavasioth in gen5 is annoying but I heard he was much better in gen 4 where he wasn't just Jyuratodes with lava. Almudron can be annoying especially large ones but it's really nice having a monster that fights so differently and you can easily jump over his obstacles with wirebugs. Raging Brachy is not annoying at all. After many failures I learned his moveset and I was able to punish almost all of his attacks with AEDs which are pretty slow attacks. He is big but slower than a normal brachy and as long as you know your boundaries you can easily get him to final phase (no tips for this one)
Well Gunlance gang just have to say sorry for your lost when dealing with monsters with armor. We'll just keep shelling them. Which especially helps with Lavasioth because your shelling softens the armor again. At least in Gen 5. I don't know about earlier gens. I'm not paying enough attention for that.
I love regular brachydios, but fuck the raging version. Easily one of the most infuriating and annoying fights I ever went through. Once I soloed it the first time, I never wasted my time fighting it again because I hated the fight that much.
I Nominate Odogaron for this list. Maybe its just me but its movement is so Erratic that it feels like I never have enough time to deal any substantial DPS on it before it jumps out of the way and hits me with a Cheap ass Bleed attack. Of course I'm primarily a Charge Blade user but I often find myself swapping to Duel Blades when I go up against him just so I can better tango with him.
Odoggo isn't annoying but sure it feels tedious. The problem with it is we mostly can't do anything during it's 3-6 hit combo, and after that it only has small window to punish. Using gs means usually a single uncharged draw for average player. Luckily he tires out easily. If we have more counter like strongarm and rage slash in rise it'll make the fight very easy.
Fighting him is like fighting a cat with a temper tantrum, but he's a fun hunt. Sometimes he gets some licks in on my, but I just bow out of his attacks and watch his movements careful and seize an opening. Specially his wind up sweep attack. Or when he rolls after an attack.
As long as yoy put in the work to learn Odogaron then he's easy. I am a 100% hammer absolutist and fighting Odogaron was my first major reality check as it was a monster that I KNEW I couldn't beat with one of the slowest weapons in the game, he was so terrible to the point I wanted to quit the game, but after I put in the time to learn his moveset he became one of my favorite hunts. He isn't annoying, he's just meant to be a difficulty curve that you are NOT supposed to win against on your first, second, maybe even third time or more, he's meant to be that slap back to reality that you won't be able to out speed most things you fight
I feel odo gets exhausted and trips quite easily and his lack of projectiles make him manageable where you always have something to fall back on to relieve pressure on yourself (unless you get bled lol)
before 4U, the old rathalos was such a hassle, you could only carry and combine so many flash bombs before you just had to stand there and wait for him to land or use bowgun
I havent fish this video but I assume Apceros didnt get mentioned. I lost counts on how many times I got carted thanks to them. It ruined my hunts by blocking your 3rd person vision, slowly pushing you, blocking your gun aim, headbutting ypu when carving and dealing the finishing blow when you are doing heroics run.
World Lunastra should be in here, that walking bullshit should be purged in this world. Also Raging Brachy is dope, i used to dread fighting him now the fight is one of my favourite in the game
I still stand by the point that Lavasioth was a fun fight UNTIL world decided to give it the mechanics as a poor man’s Agnaktor, despite not digging nearly as much and has armour that hardens even quicker If they didn’t pull a world and slap on a unneeded mechanic it would be fine
Almudron and Raging Brachy actually range among some of my favorite, but I can see why people would dislike them. Most of the monsters you listed count as a slight nuisance at worst. However! I would like to throw in Paolumu (both regular and nightshade) as my pick for the most annoying monster ever. It provides no entertaining challenge to overcome and drags out a piss easy fight needlessly. Also, wind pressure can go to hell. (I will mention Kushala as an honorable mention as a very annoying monster to fight for similar reasons)
Almudron is actually one of my favorite monsters. But thats when i fought him with insect glave. Every other weapon is bound to the ground and will have a rougher time with him.
Brachydios, Tigrex, Zinogre, Khezu, Kirin are all monsters which seem impossibly annoying on first few hunts but are actually incredibly fair. I enjoy hunting them all now. They all require patience and getting to know which moves cause them to rest or stop moving for a while.
Not really. For the most part, they (at least for me) never seemed that annoying in the first place. Kirin's stupidly easy, Brachydios is somewhat challenging but is just a fairly aggressive monster like Tigrex that you need to boringly let tire themselves out then wail on them until they enrage and go full on attack mode again, Zinogre is one of not many monsters that behaves tactically and is intelligent enough to try to trick the player, making it almost feel like fighting against another hunter (which is why it's one of my personal favorites), and Khezu is, in fact, incredibly annoying. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. It just goes around paralyzing you, screaming, and grossly stretching at you. That's not a patience or getting to know it thing, that's a monster that just doesn't respect the players time. There's a difference. Sounds more like trying to get up on a high horse about not minding fighting monsters that range from not annoying at all to monsters that exist exclusively to waste your time.
Here's my list of Annoying Monster : 1. KIRIN - Barioth - Sand Barioth - Glavenus - Gigginox - Baleful Gigginox - Glacial Agnaktor - Uragaan - Rathalos - Qurupeco - Crimson Qurupeco - Bezelguese Some of them i hate how they act, some of them is really tiring to fight
How on earth did Gigginox make the list but not Khezu, Khezu is doubly as annoying as Gigginox (not trying to come off as hateful or angry just sort of surprised)
I would want to see what they plan to do with Almudron if they get rid of the wire bug in future games, but I don't really think he belongs on this list. His fight being different doesn't mean that it's bad.
Because a lot of the same names keep getting mentioned in the comments so I'll throw a different one out there: Uragaan is a monster i actively avoid because he's infuriating and incredibly tedious to fight. You'd think for being heavily armoured and having insanely high damage, aoe garbage that covers any area you fight him and his flame wheel of doom he'd be on the lower side in the health department but no, he has like 27.5k HP. Fuck that guy.
"Every monster is unique"... "What do you do?" Great Izuchi: I have tail. "Anything else?" Great Izuchi: not really "what about you?" Great Baggi: I have no tail but otherwise same "So you do nothing?" Great Baggi: Yes "And you?" Great Wroggi: I also have no tail and I'm just vibing "don't you have poison or something?" Great Wroggi: I guess. But most of the time I just do the same thing as those other guys. "You know what, you can live, I'm going to hunt something cool like a monkey"
Gypceros was the first monster that infuriated me so greatly, that I had to kill it repeatedly, for its full armor set, to be satisfied. It blinded me, stole my things, poisoned me, then it got me with that 'play dead' attack. It was all kinds of toxic, and so was I, I guess. Giving up and avoiding something is completely understandable, when it gets the better of you more than once. Save your energy. But I miss the old Villain, that made it his life goal to conquer and master said thing, just to wear that accomplishment on his sleeve, even if only to spite the very thing that "slighted" him so. I want him back.
My most hated fight is crystalbeard uragaan. Why? Look at the hitzones, look at the health, tell me does that look fun to fight? He even has ai issues if you are in multiplayer so that hes only rolling amd spamming the roll bombs.
Some personal "favorites" of mine Shogun Ceanataur - That extended claw always manages to reach me no matter where I am or how I dodge Tigrex (old gen) - Basically a neverending lawnmower and without the better movement in gen5, especially in Rise, it's a pain to get close to it when it stops for once Basarios (old gen) - Bouncing off bouncing off bouncing off All of the giant ass monsters like Lao Shan, Shen Gaoren, Jhen Mohran, Zorah Magdaros because they are so so boring
My first impressions of Daimyo Hermitaur from Generations weren't so pretty, trying to hit it with my longsword and failing 90% of the time, the constant attacks from the ground, his fast recovery after launching the water laser. Maybe with other weapons isn't that bad, but after my first hunt ever against it I wanted to carve my balls.
I actually didn't have that much trouble with Almudron, mostly because I used hammer and the wirebug move that lets me do the jump spin attack is kinda broken for getting out of situations like that + hitting its tail while raised
I love hunting raging brachy and almudron, but I actually dislike fighting normal brachy compared to raging because normal brachy's slime pools stick around so much longer, while raging's explode almost immediately
In my experience I've only ever played MH 1 and 2 on ps2 and recently just picked up rise+sunbreak for 120+ hours and it's my first time knowing many new monster including almudron, and honestly almudron kinda easy for me, compared to small monsters on mh1 + mh2 such as vespoid, genprey, bullfango, babakonga, and that blasted small crab, this list kinda cute
Greatest tip when fighting an almudron is to learn how to play rage slash greatsword against him. The super armor and counter damage really helps breaking the rock on his tail
ive found Almudron to be more fun on longer ranged weapons conpared to short stuff like SnS (which just so happens to be my main.) his body is so large, yet so awkward it requires really uncomfortable angles for you to be able to land good hits on him with grounded attacks. might just be me though.
I use Dual Blades and he's pretty easy given how quick DBs are to dodge away, slower powerful weapons like Hammer and Great Sword probably struggle more
Lets see... Silver Rathalos - i just hate him Savage Jho - He has two ways of pinning you and god forbid if you dodged the first one as he'd just follow up another. *And dont get me started on that stanky ass gait that he has before doing that breath attack*
World's Lavasioth is the easiest incarnation of it. Lavasioth was a true terror in Freedom Unite, its debut game for people outside of Japan since it debuted in Frontier originally. I'm still convinced to this day that in FU Lavasioth is that game's strongest monster in terms of gameplay. Each of its attacks are immensely strong. Its slithering attack is also extremely strong and extremely accurate after it makes its u-turn. Lance and Gunlance are perhaps the best counters to it. If you are using a ranged weapon you better wear a set that gives Evasion Window up and Evade Distance up. This gives you a chance to avoid its fire balls that have a pretty big and powerful AoE and to get out of the way of its slither attack if you don't have enough time to put away your weapon for a super man dive on its u-turn. Generations Lavasioth is a bit tamer but can still be dangerous. The hunting styles Adept and Valor along with evasion type Hunter Arts makes its easier to deal with.
Gold Rathian has to take the cake never lands, flash bombs don't work in Ice-borne, tailspin even when blocked moves you around in ways where it is easy to get hit on the back and lastly the most infuriating move to GL main the charged fireball even with max evade extender you can't back hop fast or far enough to avoid the explosion forcing you to block it the tempered one that most often appears in grinding lands takes half your hp with this move even when you have 15-20 fire resistance and level 5 block with all the pressure it's really hard to put away your weapon and potion. Basically forcing you to engaging waiting for health augment to kick in but if you get hit it's night night oh and did I mention she does not like to land so even hitting her out of air can be a pain.
Honestly would have swapped out Almudron for something like Gypceros, Plesioth, or even Yian Garuga (IMO, probably someone’s fave lol) if we want to really get into annoying territory. I personally have a distaste for monsters who spend so much time flailing around, and then you factor poison and stuns into it (both in the case of Gypceros) and you just get a monster who isn’t worth the trouble. And while its fake death gimmick is funny the first time… it’s also just kinda like “ok just get up so we can keep going with the fight” every other time. I play IG so that may factor in why I find the flailers more annoying. Getting hit in the air halts any momentum and sends you crashing down, where you’ll likely get hit again. Contrasting that with Almudron, who always felt fair to me and interesting with it’s otter like vibes and unique mud structures. Rise gives a ton of options for IG aerial mobility, making it a breeze to deal with it.
As someone who fought tempered Lavasioth 250 times for a Guard Up deco, the only part of the fight worth complaining about is him knocking you off a mount or grapple because he moves too close to the lava. And Almudron, he took me the longest time out of any monster in the series to learn the fight and be comfortable fighting him. He's just so big and moves have so many variations, patterns, and fast hitboxes that he felt very overwhelming to fight for a long time. He's just very unorthodox in his fighting style, but he is a good hunt.
I hate Almudron, it's moveset was/is annoying and it didn't help that it took me 57 (yes, I actually started counting) hunts to get my first Gold Orb back in base Rise.
I hate Black DIablos, if it's not screaming then it's burrowing (but not for long enough to equip/fire screamer pods). Full earplugs are a pain to equip due to using up so many decoration slots. I hate that I have to hunt her over & over again in the Guiding Lands for upgrading weapons. If I get a regular Diablos in the GL at the same time as a Black Diablos then I'm noping outa there

Atleast Tigrex isnt as large as Diablos and can be consistently stunned nad flinched, can't say the same for Diablos since
The ones that do that are also the ones that tend to run out of stamina really quickly and become much easier in the latter half though.
Banbaro tree charge
The thing is about lavasioth is that they actually slapped its ability on Agnaktor.
Agnaktor was created after lavasioth btw
@@imklins correct. Lavasioth was introduced in Monster Hunter Frontier during the second generation. Agnaktor was from the third generation.
I know Lagi was planned thanks to interviews and the beta footage, but I never heard of Agnaktor as well. They stated that they needed monsters to inhabit the Recess and since they had Radobaan and Jyuratodus already, they decided to include the Uragaan and Lavasioth. I doubt that it stole Agnaktor's role
The magma hardening was a thing shown in its first concept art, long before it actually released in FU and Frontier, so you could say Agnaktor is the one who "stole" it, technically
@@atomicwreck2063lavaioth swims in lava and that was pretty much it, agnaktor has the gimmick of having its hz better if it heats up. Glacial agnaktor is basically reverse to its original counterpart.
The fact plesioth wasn't on here makes that monster even more infuriating 😂.
Plesioth is in the second video I made about annoying monsters.
I’d nominate Iceborne Kirin and Kushala for this list.
I second this. I hate Daora fr especially when using melee weapons.
I third this

Doara is more annoying if ur weapon is a insect glaive 😡🤬
Any flying monster (Rathian, Rathalos, etc). 90% of my attacks can't hit them at all while they're airborne, and they have the annoying tendency to fly to the other end of the map when fleeing.
Its painful whenever Rathalos lands in lava and starts spaming fire ball for like 30s
Dreadking Rathalos from MHGU spends like 90% of the fight trying to fly.
Just use flash bombs lol 👍
@Kizu_Only this is why I hate fighting them in master rank atleast in MHW. They become immune after only a few flashes
I like ear plugs alot
Kush is only annoying in World, the rest of the game, I think it's the most fun to fight against in Rise, and it's a total pushover in previous gens especially if you play GS
pretty much every monster screams around like 10 times through the whole fight, diablos worst aspects are it's massive horn swing's hitboxes and low build up time to it's charge attack
My personal Top 5 most annoying monsters list:
2. Generations Ultimate's Alatreon
GU's Alatreon didn't have an elemental DPS check, but it flies all the time, even more than Kushala, which is very annoying for a blademaster.
3. Generations Ultimate's Crystalbeard Uragaan
Crystalbeard has no hitzone that activates Weakness Exploit unless you break it's chin, which only blunt weapons can do, and even then, it's only for cutting damage.
4. World's Lunastra
Lunastra generates heat waves that do tick damage to you while you are flinching from the wind pressure.
5. Generations Ultimate's Dreadking Rathalos
Dreadking is immune to flash bombs unless you break one of it's wings, and it barely ever comes to the ground. It's delayed explosive fire-rock things limit your freedom of movement around the area aswell. It's imperative that you bring pitfall traps and shock traps so that whenever Dreadking lands, you trap it and focus on breaking it's wings. It becomes much easier to fight once you break one of it's wings.
I would like an honorable mention for that one event quest silver rathalos back in mhgen, it had like 11k hp in a high rank only game, and basically everything one shot
i know i'm late, but great video. Piscine wyverns in shambles, hopefully they get some love and upgrades in Wilds!
I’m also gonna do another part to this video. Trust me I didn’t forget about plesioth 💀
Doesn't matter if you're on the other side of the Plesioth with a healthy amount of breathing room between you two, you're gonna get hit.
most annoying thing is when you get hit by the tiny monster multiple time when you Polishing weapon or something else
About Lavasioth and the hardening thing, I didn't have any problems with my weapon bouncing off because... well... I'm a hammer main hahaha
Laughs in shelling
Laughs in longsword spirit blade.
Legiana, i have a personal vendetta against that icy rat
Bullfango
Valid
You forgot bulldrome
@@sephirotten2413 Bulldrome fight isn't that bad, bullfango always bully me when I'm hunting something else.
Out of all small monsters, konchus have caused the most irritation for me
Mh1 bullfango ganging up is always annoying
As an evade window 5 enjoyer. Raging brachy was definitely a reality check since I couldn’t just dark souls my way through it 😂
Mang you onky need like 3 max !
1. Plesioth
2. Green plesioth
3. Mini plesioth
4. Bulldrome
His hipcheck can sent me flying from MHGU to Mhrise
Thank you so much for putting raging brachy in here no other monster puts me in such horrible mood as fighting this thing
As a bow main i hate any monster that doesn't understand the concept of personal space. Looking at you barrioth
Khezu suggesters have never suffered the pain of a chameleos somehow stealing all of your healing items
Or a molten tigrex never giving a moment of peace
Trying to break Chameleos's horn in old gen is a nightmare, it's so tall even GS can't reach it sometimes
Cephadrome was my first annoyance in generations i remember struggling because i was new to mh
Absolutely hate fighting those two iterations
video starts at 2:35
Literally had a hellish time fighting Cephadrome a bit before I watched this (forgot sonic bombs), was very happy to see him on here lol

@@Clever_Calcifer I have a second video about this topic. Plesioth is in there
It's kinda funny in MHG Cephadrome is one of the fastest and best early G rank HRP grinds in MHG.
All the problems you mention with the cephadrome I feel with Black Diablos. They’re so much time where they can’t be hit and even when it’s in recovery it’s usually after a charge or jump that put them on the other side of the arena so you can’t punish it.
How are you gonna put Almudron and Raging Brachy in this video but not Khezu or Plesioth?
There will be more videos like this in the future, don't worry Plesioth will not be excused
Khezu 24/7 screaming
Khezu is just... Different. You know the thing where the enemy is so slow you're struggling to dodge their attacks? Khezu is one of them
I like khezu lol but id understand plesi, not cus of his hip check but staying in the damn water haha
@@jhsjdytk Yeah. Especially when it dies in the water....
A lot of monsters don’t really bother me that much even some of the more annoying ones like Khezu or Plesioth but Tidal Najarala I ABSOLUTELY hate.
Yo can soften lavasitoths armor by slinging torch pods at it
At least Raging Brachy's slime drop explosions in World are obvious and deal much less damage than before.
Maybe it's me, but I simply never had issues with Raging. Maybe it's my playstyle, idk.
1:23 pink rathian and blue rathalos have joined the channel
they never felt any different from their cousins :l
Looks at comments: I find lack of Nibelsnarf hate… disturbing.
Agnaktor was the only one and no, it doesn't soften when you use shelling
I love regular brachydios, but fuck the raging version. Easily one of the most infuriating and annoying fights I ever went through. Once I soloed it the first time, I never wasted my time fighting it again because I hated the fight that much.
I'm still trying to make his armor :(
@@xJayst I died so many times to it by the time I killed it once I had enough items to make the entire armor set and the weapon xD
Odogaron felt really extreme to me when I first had to fight it, but I dunno, I think the movement is kinda easy to get used to
As long as yoy put in the work to learn Odogaron then he's easy.
I think the most annoying thing about Lavasioth is the HP pool. He just eats damage 😂
before 4U, the old rathalos was such a hassle, you could only carry and combine so many flash bombs before you just had to stand there and wait for him to land or use bowgun
I havent fish this video but I assume Apceros didnt get mentioned. I lost counts on how many times I got carted thanks to them. It ruined my hunts by blocking your 3rd person vision, slowly pushing you, blocking your gun aim, headbutting ypu when carving and dealing the finishing blow when you are doing heroics run.
the fish typo is hilarious considering the circumstances
@@KBird204 i think I accidentally press the backspace button, lmao. Touchscreens can be annoying sometimes.
World Lunastra should be in here, that walking bullshit should be purged in this world. Also Raging Brachy is dope, i used to dread fighting him now the fight is one of my favourite in the game
I still stand by the point that Lavasioth was a fun fight UNTIL world decided to give it the mechanics as a poor man’s Agnaktor, despite not digging nearly as much and has armour that hardens even quicker
If they didn’t pull a world and slap on a unneeded mechanic it would be fine
Almudron and Raging Brachy actually range among some of my favorite, but I can see why people would dislike them. Most of the monsters you listed count as a slight nuisance at worst. However! I would like to throw in Paolumu (both regular and nightshade) as my pick for the most annoying monster ever. It provides no entertaining challenge to overcome and drags out a piss easy fight needlessly. Also, wind pressure can go to hell. (I will mention Kushala as an honorable mention as a very annoying monster to fight for similar reasons)
Old Raging Brachy was toxic as his red slime would explode when struck. Gen 4 lavasioth is fun, i like to see the funny fish flop around in the lava.
I just ledge spam kirin with my hammer and he dies in 3 minutes. Don't really need patience
Nibsnarf is the bane in my thorn, mega bombs are a must.
Here's my list of Annoying Monster :
1. KIRIN
- Barioth
- Sand Barioth
- Glavenus
- Gigginox
- Baleful Gigginox
- Glacial Agnaktor
- Uragaan
- Rathalos
- Qurupeco
- Crimson Qurupeco
- Bezelguese
Some of them i hate how they act, some of them is really tiring to fight
How on earth did Gigginox make the list but not Khezu, Khezu is doubly as annoying as Gigginox (not trying to come off as hateful or angry just sort of surprised)
Seeing the MH3U clips are such a nostalgia trip back to the wiiu
Fuck that guy.
no plesioth? are you kidding me?
I'll be honest, I never found Almudron annoying.
same, especially magma almudron is one of my fav fights cuz of how agile you need to be, but also the weak spots are so satisfying to hit
I personally think that raging brachy is one of the best fights in monster hunter, but I honestly get it tbh.
Almudron: The Dual Blades shred him into minced meat effortlessly.
Almudron? ALMUDRON?!? I can't wrap my mind around that one.
As a hammer user he was a chore to fight, you likely used a quicker weapon with longer reach that could hit his dumb ass

Great Izuchi: I have tail.
"Anything else?"
Great Izuchi: not really
"what about you?"
Great Baggi: I have no tail but otherwise same
"So you do nothing?"
Great Baggi: Yes
"And you?"
Great Wroggi: I also have no tail and I'm just vibing
"don't you have poison or something?"
Great Wroggi: I guess.
Great list honestly, I’m surprised Plesioth isn’t on here

My most hated fight is crystalbeard uragaan. Why? Look at the hitzones, look at the health, tell me does that look fun to fight? He even has ai issues if you are in multiplayer so that hes only rolling amd spamming the roll bombs.
Never really had issues with Lavisoth. Probably because I’m a hunting horn main and we all get Minds Eye for basically free. Bouncing is a myth to me.
im surprised that the uninvited bomber B-2 didnt make it to the list

I 100% agree with all of them (I haven't fought Brachydios yet)

Some personal "favorites" of mine
Shogun Ceanataur - That extended claw always manages to reach me no matter where I am or how I dodge
Tigrex (old gen) - Basically a neverending lawnmower and without the better movement in gen5, especially in Rise, it's a pain to get close to it when it stops for once
Basarios (old gen) - Bouncing off bouncing off bouncing off
All of the giant ass monsters like Lao Shan, Shen Gaoren, Jhen Mohran, Zorah Magdaros because they are so so boring
I’m just about to try raging brachy tonight 😳. Guess I’m gonna get clapped lol.
Good luck my guy
more like punched in the face than a calp
It's easy just dodge everything 👍
Anti blight is your friend
My first impressions of Daimyo Hermitaur from Generations weren't so pretty, trying to hit it with my longsword and failing 90% of the time, the constant attacks from the ground, his fast recovery after launching the water laser.
Maybe with other weapons isn't that bad, but after my first hunt ever against it I wanted to carve my balls.
Khezu scream
Tigrex moves a lot
Anjaneth too tall
Velkhana tail can't be reached, always release ice breath and hurricane
The super armor and counter damage really helps breaking the rock on his tail
ive found Almudron to be more fun on longer ranged weapons conpared to short stuff like SnS (which just so happens to be my main.)
his body is so large, yet so awkward it requires really uncomfortable angles for you to be able to land good hits on him with grounded attacks. might just be me though.
I use Dual Blades and he's pretty easy given how quick DBs are to dodge away, slower powerful weapons like Hammer and Great Sword probably struggle more
Lets see...
Silver Rathalos
- i just hate him
Savage Jho
- He has two ways of pinning you and god forbid if you dodged the first one as he'd just follow up another. *And dont get me started on that stanky ass gait that he has before doing that breath attack*
Ohohohoooo the memories of hunting these assholes.
Barioth is a nightmare in the snow
Finally, someone acknowledging Brachy as a really annoying monster.
Peoples complaigning about Lavasioth
Me: leveling my Volcanic Area to lv7 hunting Dodogama and Lavasioth: 🐱
Imagine not having black veil hazak as number 5 lol
was expecting hip check king plesioth, not my Mayweather with exploding gloves/body
The most annoying part about Cephadrome is him not having his own unique armour set for some reason
Nice list.
Let's talk about Malfestio, shall we?
Or the tail of gold Rathian
old world raths, both are absolutely riddled with instant hitboxes and awkward hitboxes
Those instant charges are so stupid. The only indication is their turning speed too
I hate Almudron, it's moveset was/is annoying and it didn't help that it took me 57 (yes, I actually started counting) hunts to get my first Gold Orb back in base Rise.
Holy, 57 tries is crazy. For me it was like 20-30 but still.
Kushala Daora not being on this list is criminal. He’s always staying in his tornados and flying around. One of the fights I personally dislike😭
