Five songwriters. Up until the last few albums, they played every single instrument. Piano, mellotron, tabla, sitar, guitar, oboe, cello, bass, organ, flute, recorder, harp, several kinds of percussion. Unbelievable. No one else does that. Bravo, Justin. Bravo, John. Bravo and RIP Mike, Graeme, and Ray.
My wife I met by way of our mutual interests in the Moodies. We spent hours on an apartment room floor listening to their record albums. Mike Pinder and his mellotron made this sound so special. One of their better albums of their first 7 that were released for sure. Album covers were a trip back then. Each band member contributed. We still have those very same albums on unscratched vinyl in our cabinet. Keepers for sure. Aging into our early 70's. Thanks for posting Chris.
Spent many evenings in 1972 sitting cross-legged on the floor with my buddies watching the candles melt onto a Spañada bottle and listening to this incredible work of art. And my bong.
i was not lucky enough to see the moody blues live but the blue jays came to peterborough in 1974 when they split for a time orsum so glad i had that chance
Title of the video….not the name of the album. All lower case letters; no upper case letters. My first MB concert: 1971, Atlanta Municipal Auditorium…held maybe 1500. My second, two years later, at The Omni. Sold out 10K tickets.
My spiritual teachers since their beginning.
I’m 77 now and still think they are very special.
The Moodies filled a void in my life while stationed overseas in the early 70s.

Just found this great Side One!! What took me so long.. . This is the Question..... 💙💙💙 Happiness Happening at 70!!!
First time I've heard this in over 50 years. Great, unique band.
Their voices were the greatest & the music was fabulous, so good like genius material.🔥🔥🔥♥️♥️♥️♥️👍👏👏👏♥️
What a talented group! The Story In Your Eyes! The song is one of my all-time favorite Moody Blues songs.
I have all 6 of their first albums. Each a classic!
You should add Seventh Sojourn to complete the Core 7 (assuming you started with DOFP).
@johnsmith-tn8rn have it too.
@@mikeames1427 Why do you think it's called seventh sojourn? Go on, have a guess.
One of the best albuns of all times ! 👏👏👏👏🎸🎸🎸🎸🎹🎹🎹🎹
What a great album and cover design. TKS for the memories.
Takes this thing 5 minutes to take off...... No wonder it isn't in my list of favorites even though it is one of life's greatest jams.

Sir Moody Blues . . . from an American
Que paulada no juízo
Very great band, Somewhere between Genesis and Supertramp.
Superior and older than both bands. The Moody Blues were original acid music.
Justine and Pike , the less famous Moodies!!😂😂
Fantastic!!
I wore out my cassette
Jeez just the pipe organ . . .
whomever doesn't know this, welcome.
I don't suppose I have heard the whole album being that at that time I was pretty much limited to radio playlists.
❤❤
