OMG now we know where all the sr 474s are. Impress is not even a good enough word. I could never imagine somebody having such a nice collection. Congrats man.
Amazing collection!! I could see some ‘87 Dyno Pro Compe builds fitting in great in this already unbelievable collection. That rose gold reminded me of the all gold plated 1985 Hutch Trick Star showcased in the magazines back in day. Anyone remember seeing it in the magazines??
Indeed. I think he was going to begin building a Dyno soon. And yes, that rose gold is killer. And no, I haven’t seen that Trick Star but I’m sure it’s Amazing!
I’m the original owner of an ‘88 Pro Freestyle Tour (electric blue, mags, 1-piece cranks) as well as an ‘89 Jr. Performer (blue) and ‘94 Pro Freestyle Tour Team Model (chrome, in pieces). I imagine one day I’ll need to sell my collection, but I’m not ready to yet. When I do, I want my stuff to go to a serious collector who will preserve it well. Not sure I would want my bikes re-painted; their original powder coats look pretty good. Wish I could meet you, Dennis. We’d have lots to talk about. Stay rad. 🤙
Fantastic collection. I like the way he is concerned with the parts he uses but isnt worried about any stuffy etiquette on customizing color and detail parts. The laser details on some parts are also very cool. I dont need factory specific in my bikes either. I powdered a chrome pft frameset dayglo yellow and have pieced it together with a porkchop seat, tech7s etc. but this is next level!
Brother Dennis has an amazing collection. He did a bang up job on my GT and especially my Dyno pegs logo laser etching. Brian's bike also in his collection too. R.I.P. brother Brian Allen.
"I don't want to sell it, but I sell it to you" just means he's throwing a lot of money at people. Proven also by the fact that he's only been collecting for a year but alread has dozens of bikes. I'm sorry to say it but this doesn't have much to do with true collecting imo. That's just buying your way into this hobby & scene.
Bro, they are all carpet Queens 😭🤕. Why are those cables to the back side of the bars instead of the front how they're supposed to be. And why is that front cable bent over to the side, it's so ugly! I'm a collector and builder as well, but I ride all of my bikes. Just erks me 😅
Some of those non-OG colors are "pretty", but I would rather have only OG colors. And those combo colors are just awful. And it's odd to insist of every bike having 474 pedals, meticulously restoring all the logos with laser, etc, but then not wanting OG colors and decals, anodizing, not having proper frame stands, etc. Most kids ended up switching out the pedals anyway, and it seems like it was usually the first component to be switched. I also don't understand wanting to own almost 25 of the exact same model. One of each OG color, sure. Or different models. And doing all that in just a year would require no life outside of work and the garage.
incredible! that bubble gum pink is gnarly. i wouldn't change it if they paid me to!
Me either!
This guy has been working overtime to collect all of these bikes in a year! Man! What a collection! Thanks for sharing this!
Indeed he has. Unbelievable actually.

It was truly amazing to see!
I didn't know the color of my 86' GT until now! "bubble gum pink" seems to have been a very rare color. Thanks Dennis! 👍🏼
Very rare!!
The black and rose gold model is unbelievable. Nicely done, thanks for sharing....both of you

Crazy right?
Fantastic collection. Not buying the "I did this in a year" story though.
replying to my own comment! But great respect but that looks like 5 years + hard work.
😆
Looks like a cable tray
Could be..
I never sent in a membership fee but I think I belong to this cult. I have 9 bikes but only one is a PFT. Overdose
😂 You need to buy more!!

Some people choose to collect. And some choose to ride. To each his own.

Each collector has his own reasons for collecting. I just find it fascinating the amount of collections he has.
Tour's? You don't use the apostrophe for a plural.
Yep, you’re right. I’m feeling a bit foolish looking back at it. 🤦♂️
